This is a pure clinic for a new LB owner. I appreciate the footage of weighting the front end to a degree..Physics say it'll never be a race car, but Physics never met Lunch box personally!👍
I have seen some racing with these and they can be set up to run really well! The runner with the weighted front end runs really well but to be honest some of the charm is lost if the front end doesn't come up on demand! I love them all and I never thought the lunchie would be one of my favorite kits but it certainly has become one!! It is certainly my favorite for customizing for sure! They are so much fun and never fail to make me smile!!

Really want get one. Nice to see I'm not the only big kid around. Remember walking into the beatties store in Nottingham and just looking at the Tamiya collection.
They are so cool and fun to drive! You are definitely not the only big kid around here! We did not have any big shops near me as a kid so most of my window shopping was in magazines but in the small shop here (in the back of a pet store!) the ones on display were larger than life for sure!
Nice detailed overview of the Tamiya Lunch Boxes. Nice driving as well. I'm surprised that you were able to control it so well on the turns without rolling over.
Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it. A little throttle control and not going full on all the time helps keep them planted. The fun runner has some advantage of the extra weight up front to help keep it under control!
Good thought on how to keep the front from coming off the ground so much. I thought it would have not come off the ground at all. I miss having one of these and just driving it around in the yard. You picked the right music too. 👍👍
I think if the wheels had not been slipping in the tires it would have wheelied a lot more but that is the charm of these trucks really. the bouncy, bobbly driving and the wheelies they do! I tried to find some retro sounding music for it! I actually got done with another custom build yesterday so I will be recording that one shortly and taking it out for its first run very soon!
I thought both vans look great. I was surprised how well the retro model absorbed the bumps. You did a great job on both vans. When I heard the second track of music, I thought that's the one. It's like the Beach Boys or California sound of days gone by. I still have my original Lunchbox with street tires. The last time I drove it was on a beach on St. Simon's Island 30 years ago. I picked another one with a terrible paint job at a swap meet 15 years ago for ten bucks. You have inspired me to do something with it. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
Yes! Get that thing up and running!! It will make you very happy you did!! I would like to get some on road tires for a couple of custom ones I plan on creating but they are never in stock and if they are the prices are just silly or a long boat ride over here. I do need to get some ordered as I do have one build in the works now which should be getting wrapped up soon. Get one of those trucks running and get out and put a smile on your face!!!
@@AddamsPlayground Thanks for the encouragement. The street tires I have are so old that I doubt if they are even made anymore. But, when I rehab my swap meet find I would like to find some.
They are the biggest smile makers I know of!! I never expected it to turn into one of my favorite platforms but it did and I have plans for more of them in the future!!! Thanks for checking it out!
So I bought a lunch box because of you Thank you and I went to go get a bearing kit from my local hobby shop for it and they gave me a tamiya falcon I'm amazed that it took all the bearings that the lunch box takes so now I have to go back and buy the bearing set AGAIN for the lunch box LOL
Tamiya has been reusing kit designs and shared parts across platforms forever so I am not surprised the bearing count is the same across the two. And did I read that right, they gave you a Falcon? or they gave you a Falcon bearing set? If they gave you a Falcon buggy then you have the bestest hobby shop in the world!
@@AddamsPlayground So the story of the falcon is a guy was at a garage sale and the lady gave him the falcon so then the guy came to the hobby shop and gave it to the owner of the hobby shop he had it for a couple of days and then he texted me we6re really good friends and said you can have this I wanted to pick it up Sunday but it was Father's Day and they're closed Monday It's just strange that a 40-year-old RC car would have the same bearing set as the lunch box but I think the lunch box is also been out for 40 years
Thanks! That was an excellent lineup of RCs to have between the two of you. I am sure nothing stupid was ever done with them at all!!! "just hold the board and I will jump it right over your head!"... not that anything like that ever happened around here.... LOL!!
That was great! The old radio is really cool, I imagine that would have been the ants pants back in the day👌. Nothing wrong with 1st last, I was surprised how well they actually handled your track👍. Thanks for sharing your video, very interesting as usual mate👍🦘🇦🇺
It did pretty well and with some better tires I may be able to move it up the board a little. I still have a few things I'd like to do to the modified one as well to see if it will help also! Thanks as always for checking in and glad you enjoyed it!!
Thanks! Yeah I prefer the slightly darker yellow also but the classic yellow is cool for what it is. I am happy I have one I won't mind scratching up so I can drive it more often. They always cheer me up while driving them around!!!
Thad, Blackfoot may be cool and iconic.... But Tamiya chose the HARDEST, worst Tires imaginable! 🙄 I do miss mine.... But I'd sell my soul for a KING Blackfoot!!! Tamiya fixed EVERYTHING! Then they stopped making it. 😒
The torque of the GT Tuned motor I guess is too much for it. I stick a couple drops of glue on them and all will be better. These are "new" tires and wheels, only a couple years old. I have had others do the same thing while some don't need it at all!
@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks my Blackfoot is the quick drive version 1/14?scale. Has pumpkin/lunchbox style wheels and tires on it. You’re correct though the regular Blackfoot tires are hard as a rock
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers Back in 85, we would (successfully), stretched Lunchbox Tires to the Blackfoot Wheels!! MUCH softer, and because they're 2" (inside diameter), no glue was needed!!
What's better than a Lunchbox? TWO LUNCHBOXES!! 😎🤣😊😊😊👍👍 A blast to run in pairs. I think I still have my ancient Futaba Magnum FM Radio! 😲 I wouldn't use it, but I've kept it for years. I've got a Lunchbox! Rolling, powered Chassis.... never got around to getting a body. ☹️😵💫😭 I did EVERYTHING to it, even Double Wishbone Suspension! No body. Awesome seeing them zipping around the grass. SAFEST place for a Lunchie!! Took me back to the mid 80's! Nurse just said it's bedtime... apparently I'm 3 years old! Well, I'm glad I got one last Video in! Thanks Addam!
Thanks for watching and listen to the nurses!! The Lunch Box always makes me smile so it has become one of my absolute favorite kits. I do have another custom one in the works and that should be wrapped up soon I hope so you all can see it.
Back in 2008 I had the lunchbox and the midnight pumpkin. Such fun Rc's, plain and simple. Of course a set of ball bearings and a few upgrades on both made a huge difference. Regrettably I sold them both! Anyway, awesome pair you have there. Of course with the rest of your beautiful tamiya collection. 👍
Thank you! I hate selling things for just that reason! I always wish I had them back! I really developed a big love for these lunchies and will probably end up with more of them as I still have tons of ideas for others!! I have a pumpkin project for this winter I am excited about and I hope it turns out as good as I imagine it! Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!
Thanks! These are just plain fun to both build and run!! It is a kit I can go out and run on a bad day for a nice pick-me-up session!! Always brings a smile to my face!! You will have a great time with one and they are fun to customize!!
Good run and the slow timing is to be expected.😂 Maybe glueing the rear tyres will help. Having lower shocks at the front helps to keep it planted too. I know mine drives a lot less like a lunchbox after I made those changes.. not sure if that’s a good thing tho..🤣
Yeah, I will be adding a few drops of glue to the tires to keep them from spinning. The wheel.in them! I wondered why it seemed to stop wanting to wheelie so much. The oil shocks do take some of the wheelie fun away but makes up for it in the stability area. I have some more things I want to do to it and see what those changes make so it'll be back eventually with some more additions!!
Both of them are very nice looking the upgrade one you can have more fun with the oldschool ones I'm with you on keeping it nice looking job well done addam 👍👍👍😎
Yes! I love the old-school one just for the nostalgia and memories of all of it. I also enjoy the fact I can take the other out and knock it around some without freaking out when it tumbles here and there. I really love driving these and watching bobble around!
Yeah, it has been requested a few times!! I think with some better tires it has a better shot of getting a better time. I have some other tweaks and things to try to make it even better!
Hi there Addam, what a lovely looking pair (oh err!) 😎😄. A beauty display of the retro vs the re-release. Just looking at them bouncing away in the back garden, looking that they are getting up to mischief. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😁
Yes! These are some of my absolute favorites to drive. Just the happy bumbling and bobbling they do while running always puts a smile on my face! They are like the therapy dogs of my collection!! Thanks as always for checking in and take care my friend!!
Hitec has always made great stuff!... It was cool to see a Lunchbox making laps... once you've made it through the whole collection or are done timing laps, it would be sweet to see a small jump added on the straight after the hill... like 2/3 of the way to the banked corner.... it would be a good test of suspension, and how the cars settle back down and regain control... Now I need THREE Lunchbox trucks!!!!! A black one, and 2 yellows to habe both colors and one modified yellow one...lol Also feel a need for 2 pumpkins...a metallic one and a runner to modify and use lots.....lol You do great in replying, thanks for your content and dedication to the viewers.... Feel free to reply to me only when I've asked a question or something like that.... I try to comment as often as possible on channels I really like, so the algorithm sees more interactions... Cheers !
Thanks! I have a black edition body and wheels I can swap out quickly for another shelf queen one. Well it is gun metal colored as I wanted it something other than black. I have another custom one in the works as well that should be done soon. There is never too many of them I don't think! I would love to have some of the limited edition ones like the gold and red ones but they are pricey!! I'll continue to do the custom ones until I run out of cool vans to recreate our space to put them!!!
Hhmmm... the oil filled shocks makes the lunchbox a lot more planted! I think I like it more with the mental bouncy pogo sticks. Just something about the way a lunchbox looks when it is hopping all over the place like a washing machine on spin cycle that just had a lump of concrete chucked into it. What I don't like is the open differential. I just locked the diff in my lunchbox using air-dry epoxy putty. It now weighs a ton...so I will have to see how it goes!
Yeah, it is a lot smoother and in some way too smooth. Like you said the traditional bouncing and bobbling along has been tamed but it is a ton more stable. Do not worry there will be bouncy stock ones seen. I have been working on another custom one over the last few weeks and it should be done fairly soon! The major painting is complete and I just need to wrap up a bunch of little stuff to get it done. The diffs in these are very loose and spinny. I should pull it open and put in some stickier grease to slow it down and get better traction as it did unload multiple times out running it last.
Yeah it is far from a race car but it is one of the most fun kits to drive! I can have an awful day and driving one of these will still bring a smile to my face!! It may not hold the last place for too long. I have some other trucks I plan on taking out for lap times and I know one of them is going to be slower than this one!!
Nice boxes! I kind of like the brighter yellow version better, Funny I had that same radio in the FM version. lunch boxes are so much fun, need more speed do ya LOL!! for the tires you can use shoe goo put to small dabs in the wheel bead across from each other it should hold it from spinning the tires on the wheels but you can also always remove them if needed.
Thanks! I just love watching them run around. Never a bad day running them! The shoe-goo trick is a good idea to make them stick but be removable later! I usually just use a drop or two of thick super glue to put a couple spots that way it is not glued all the way around like race tires. Thanks for the cool tip!!!
@@AddamsPlayground Hi I do that also but I actually used the goo glue to put on my clod tires and it's been like for ever and still working so 2 little dabs should work great for the slipping tires on wheels syndrome! 😁
So in my current situation of commuting to Richmond Mon-Fri, I’ve just got to tell you thank you for keeping company this morning lol. Moving on to the video, it did look like you were getting some walk on the upgraded one when hitting some of the corners but it’s like you said, monster truck isn’t exactly meant to be a race car. I would how ever like to see a lunch box body on something like the Arrma Kraton chassis. I feel like that would be a cool design
Thanks and glad I could make the ride down a bit better!! I still have some tinkering on the upgrade one to iron out some issues and continue to make it better. I am also working on another custom one that will be getting finished up soon. I guess the closest thing would be the Kyosho mad van that could be "stunt" version. Sadly the hard body from the lunch box would not last very long. I know you can get lexan bodies for them but not an easy find unfortunately.
Nice LB video , I’ve not had one in years , well about 9/10 I think. I also like the muted chrome yellow paint as well has a bit more depth to it. Cool as ever those oil cva’s definitely improved the ride
Thanks! You need another one! 9 or 10 years is too long!! 😂 The shock did really smooth it out a lot which is both good and bad. It is much less tippy and bouncy but it is also less tippy and bouncy which is a little bit of the charm of them!!
Ha ha ha, Addam, I figured you'd be getting one more (or just more) Lunchie(s)! Yeah, you're really good at replying to your comments, I always enjoy reading your replies. Not surprising where this one made it on the leaderboard, it's kind of a clumsy old relic! But with charm! I keep thinking I should get mine built soon, but there just is so much other stuff before it, including real life stuff, ha ha... Next year, sometime... Be happy, be healthy, be safe, buddy!
Yeah the real life stuff keeps getting in my way too! It just seems like there is never enough time! I wish I had back some of those teenage "I'm bored..." time back so I could get some stuff done!! I do love my lunches and actually have another custom one in the works. It is nearing the end so you guys should see it fairly soon!!
Hi Addam, good comparison and run. I like both Boxes👍. Good there were no mishaps 🤩 Maybe cutting down the sides of the bumper might help. You still got a bumper and thw wheels shouldn't need protection (says the one who had already ruined two steerings🤣).
I may trim it slightly. I think adding a few mm mor to the bump stop will help get rid of it. It had more than enough travel, way more than stock so the 4mm difference should be fine but trimming that bumper end down a touch would also help. I am fine with a tiny bit of rubbing but it is bad enough now it will eventually cause damage. I have those chrome paint markers so any trimming can be hidden with those! Thanks for the tip!!
You can but some of the charm of these are the wheelies so it is more of trying to control how fast it pulls the front end up so the extra weight in the front serves to slow it down from throwing itself backwards so fast. It also helps out a ton with the steering both on power and off. With the faster motors the front end gets very light and loses a lot of on power steering. Off power it really allows for the front end to nose down and turn faster. It is just trying to balance things out a little. Thanks for watching and for checking in!
Yeah, it was something I didn't even think about as all of the others are stock and don't need the tires glued. I will put a few drops on there and fix that before the next run. Possibly why it wasn't pulling consistent wheelies. I knew the shocks.and the weight up front would keep it from doing them too bad but I am sure the wheel slipping was part too. Still was a blast to bounce around out there !!!
They really are a ton of fun and my favorite "blow off some steam and get in a better mood" trucks to run around!! They always make me smile. They are easy to build and really tough!
Good stuff Addam!!! Other than the oil dampers & electrics, can you tell the difference? Yeah man, glue those tires (use 12, 3, 6, & 9 if you feel the need to change them, they'll stick good enough yet easier to remove if need be). Awesome run dude!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
The oil shocks make it drive a lot smoother for sure and the newer electronics are much faster to react. In this truck it is not critical as it is not the most agile thing to start with but I could tell the delay in the old stuff. The GT Tuned motor does get it more pep and speed. I think the shocks and the couple ounces of weight in the front really tamed the wheelie action a ton and made it easier to turn as well. I have another set of shocks I am going to try out soon and I hope they are good as they are perfect for the truck.
Man you have a rad track, I had the same problem with the wheel spinning in the tires on my midnight pumpkin had to glue them, make quite a bit of difference
Thanks! The track was (is) a lot of work but it was really worth it. Before it was just running around in the yard which is fine but sometimes you just need that race car driver feel only a track can give! I normally don't glue them but most of them are bone stock so they really don't need it. This one has enough umph to it that I will need to. Stave Shen suggested shoe-goo in a couple spots and it will hold but allow you to replace the tires. I may try it and see how it works as it seems like a great tip!
@@AddamsPlayground that Shoe Goo thing is a good idea, my midnight pumpkin spun them stock with the stock motor and everything, do you have any videos on how you built your track I always like to watch those to get more ideas for my track. I'm kind of to the point where I need a machine for mine like a backhoe or something.
@@SteadfastRC There were a couple update videos but nothing in depth like a ho to video. I more or less drew it out on paper and then laid it out on the ground and made a few tweaks and just went to work. I used two big logs to take up a large portion of the two banks corners and then used old junk cinder blocks and salvaged fence boards to build up the big jump. The infield is indoor outdoor turf carpet left over from my daughters wedding reception. I did use my tractor for some dirt moving but it could all be done with a shovel and wheel barrow!. That is how I built my last one!!! I did use fill dirt for my first track at our old house and unless you are using machinery avoid that, it is miserable to work with! This time I ordered screened topsoil and it was so, so very much easier to work with and get set up.
Thanks! I really love the retro one with all the old school stuff in it but also glad I have the other to run hard and not worry about it! Thanks for checking it out!!
Thanks Keith! Never intended to have more than one but it just worked out the last way! I am happy that the retro one will stay all nice and pretty and the other can get run and tumbled around without worry. I'll be doing more mods to it and seeing how they help it.
There are some aftermarket companies making ones that will fit, you can find them on eBay a lot. You can also run the GW-01 chevron spike tires on them. The part number for them is 54603. I haven't swapped any of mine just because I like the classic chevron tire. I do like the Potenza slicks you can find on eBay but they are generally kind of pricey so I have not gotten any yet. Just search eBay for 'Tamiya Lunch Box Tires" and you should find a few different varieties of tires that work for them.
I remember those old Lynx radios! I've been meaning to ask you if you placed the pre-order on the new Gray Edition Clod?? I've always wanted a clod buster ever since they first showed up at the hobby shops forever ago, so when I saw the new Gray Clod, I knew it was finally time to build one, lol. Absolutely love the new color combo! Pro Tip: Tower lets you use their coupon codes for Tamiya pre-orders!
The old lynx has been in a few kits over the years! I thought it was retired but this build called for the use of it once again. It still works as good today as it did more than 20 years ago! I did pre-order the Clod. I was on the fence about it for a while but when I found out it was a North America only release I went ahead and got one on.order. I am hoping the estimated time for them is correct and it doesn't get pushed back months and months like some of their other releases have. We will have to wait and see!!
Hopefully my kyosho Beatles being sent to you tomorrow. Please let me know when it gets to you and if it was in good shape the box was already a bit beat up and please send back that same box.
1:42 I still have the exact same radio lol I actually won a few races with that thing, lol I still have a bunch of my old racing stuff, mostly 1/10, I forget what RTR RC that radio came with 🤔
I know Hitec was a big contender back in the day and they had some great stuff for more affordable prices. I got this many moons ago when I bought my original Traxxas Stampede kit and I needed a radio for it and this one was the best I could afford. I never had any troubles out of it and that why I did not mind hooking it up to the Lunchie as I trust it. I am sure they made the radios for a few different RTRs but I couldn't tell you either.
@@AddamsPlayground Ok thanks, I'm thinking it came with one of the Team Associated trucks back in the day but I could be mistaken 🤔 Definitely a decent remote for the time, I don't remember having any troubles out of it either, I remember it was great for dirt oval cause you could adjust the steering rates to where most remotes at the time couldn't, as far as I know it still works, I just haven't tried turning it on in 25 + years lol
Hey, terrific showdown! I am learning a ton about the LBs here! I have a few of your suggested upgrades for mine ( to mount eventually) Question: Is that a welsh dragon on you ballcap? Cheers!
Thanks! These are such fun trucks either stock or upgraded! The shocks made a difference in it for sure but do put some rubber stops on the fronts as that tire catching the bumper will eventually cause problems. I think about 12mm should be enough, I have about 8 and it is still catching. Some slight rubbing should be fine but what I heard was lugs grabbing the bumper so I need to restrict mine a little more. It is a Welsh dragon on my hat. Hey Addam, great video as always. Take a look at the monster spike tyres from Tamiya. Some spikes might help with the traction on the track along with glue of course! Wait until you see my upgraded CW-01 chassis 😁 How did you find that mechanical speed controller on the brake?
Yeah the monster beetle tires would work better for track use and are a bit softer over all. They are a touch taller too so overall speed would go up too. I have a few more things to add to it. I got a different set of shocks to try out and see how they perform. Bone stock or fully modified these will always be trucks that just make me smile and enjoy them for the goofiness they are and I love them. I do have another custom one coming very soon! Almost done building it!
The braking in the MSC is ok, you just have to kind of tap them or apply just a little so it doesn't go into full reverse tire spinning. The ESC does much, much better though. There is also the lag feel with the MSC, it is not terrible but noticeable!
Must be Lunchbox day. I opened ours tonight.. looking forward to building it..

Yeah the camera really makes them look similar in video but the still pics reflect the difference in the paint colors a lot better!
Great vid Addam like the slightly darker yellow lunchie.. exciting getting a new truck in the mail.. look forward to,finding out what it is 🤩👍🚴
Thanks! Yeah I prefer the slightly darker yellow also but the classic yellow is cool for what it is. I am happy I have one I won't mind scratching up so I can drive it more often. They always cheer me up while driving them around!!!
My qd Blackfoot that was new old stock was spinning wheels in the tires. I bought new tires and they gripped the wheels again.
@@AddamsPlayground Looking forward to it!!
Great fun run! Lunchboxes are awesome. I need to build one for one of my next ones I’m thinking.
Awesome to see the LB’s on the track!!
Yeah, it has been requested a few times!! I think with some better tires it has a better shot of getting a better time. I have some other tweaks and things to try to make it even better!
Luchboxes make me hungry!!!😅 nice run!☀️☀️☀️
LoL 😂😂 I have a small cafeteria over here! I have 5 of them now with another in progress! The new one is another custom one that will be out soon!!
A black one, and 2 yellows to habe both colors and one modified yellow one...lol
Also feel a need for 2 pumpkins...a metallic one and a runner to modify and use lots.....lol
You do great in replying, thanks for your content and dedication to the viewers....
Feel free to reply to me only when I've asked a question or something like that.... I try to comment as often as possible on channels I really like, so the algorithm sees more interactions...

Love the Lunchbox love.👊
Thanks!! I love watching them run around and it always makes me smile while running them!! Glad you enjoyed them also!!
What a fun vid! Great pair of Lunchies 👍🏻👍🏻. Maybe not the fastest as far as lap times, but sure looked like a blast out there!
Yeah it is far from a race car but it is one of the most fun kits to drive! I can have an awful day and driving one of these will still bring a smile to my face!! It may not hold the last place for too long. I have some other trucks I plan on taking out for lap times and I know one of them is going to be slower than this one!!
@@AddamsPlayground
That's the great thing about a hobby: the ability to escape from reality for a little while! 😆
Nice LB video , I’ve not had one in years , well
about 9/10 I think. I also like the muted chrome yellow paint as well has a bit more depth to it. Cool as ever those oil cva’s definitely improved the ride
Thanks! You need another one! 9 or 10 years is too long!! 😂 The shock did really smooth it out a lot which is both good and bad. It is much less tippy and bouncy but it is also less tippy and bouncy which is a little bit of the charm of them!!
they both look like good fun mate, one day I will get one to my collection too
They are the perfect bad day pick-me-up trucks to run around. They always make me smile when driving them!!

Thanks for sharing friend, watching here
Stay connected, well done job
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for watching!
Hi Addam, good comparison and run. I like both Boxes👍. Good there were no mishaps 🤩
Maybe cutting down the sides of the bumper might help.
@@AddamsPlayground Hi Addam trimming the rims sounds like a very interesting idea which I really like to see.
If I remember correctly. You can put the wheelie bar on upsidedown to keep it from popping wheelies.
Nice run and comparisons! I get the wheel spin too, I still need to glue them lol.👍😊
Still was a blast to bounce around out there !!!
cool rc's and information, nice runs on the track
Thanks Duke! Thanks as always for watching and checking in!!! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Fun overview. Now I can’t get that silly song out of my head - thanks. 😆
LoL sorry the ending got stuck in your head!! Thanks as always for watching!!! I'll try not to do that to you again!!
@@AddamsPlayground But good job not smacking around these vehicles. 👊🏼
@@All_RC_Fun the one is gonna get beat up over time but the retro one is going to stay a pretty, pretty princess!!
I have got to get me a Lunchbox.
I've wanted one since I was a kid is the 80's.
Awesome rig and awesome video❗✨😃👍
Thank you and thanks for stopping by and checking it out!!!

Great runs with the lunchboxes
Thanks! They are always a ton of fun to drive and I think once the tires are glued on the upgrade truck it'll be a lot more fun!
I have to add this to my wishlist.... Ciao! Nanni
You will be happy you got one. They are just great fun to watch bobbling around all over while driving! They never fail to put a smile on my face!
Those are so cool 👍🏻🍻
Thanks! I really love the retro one with all the old school stuff in it but also glad I have the other to run hard and not worry about it! Thanks for checking it out!!
Awesome mate 👌
Thank you! Appreciate you stopping by and checking it out!!
boxs out for the run ha ha cool having 2
Thanks Keith! Never intended to have more than one but it just worked out the last way! I am happy that the retro one will stay all nice and pretty and the other can get run and tumbled around without worry. I'll be doing more mods to it and seeing how they help it.
Went looking fir modified lunch boxes after watching this ved and amazed but no one changes the tires? Do they not make any replacement options?
There are some aftermarket companies making ones that will fit, you can find them on eBay a lot. You can also run the GW-01 chevron spike tires on them. The part number for them is 54603. I haven't swapped any of mine just because I like the classic chevron tire. I do like the Potenza slicks you can find on eBay but they are generally kind of pricey so I have not gotten any yet. Just search eBay for 'Tamiya Lunch Box Tires" and you should find a few different varieties of tires that work for them.
Some days try the yellow pearl it's a sweet looking color
I am sure the upgraded one will need a paint refresh after a few good tumbles and will have to try out something like that!!
It may be slower but it seems to handle the embankments better than your buggies.
@@AddamsPlayground Fingers crossed for October! 🤞🏻
I have a few of your suggested upgrades for mine ( to mount eventually)
Question: Is that a welsh dragon on you ballcap? Cheers!
I have a friend that owns a brewery in our town called the Red Dragon and they specialize in beers for that part of the world. I wish I still drank as they were some delicious beers!!
