Hahaha your face on the first one. You rarely make a face but when you do, it's not to be missed! Evidently it wasn't anything like what you expected. Ann Reardon is great. I don't make cakes and sweets but I really enjoy her videos on debunking and explanations on the effects and reactions of things. So cool ! You can get all those here in New Zealand too! And fairy bread is indeed on white bread, with a light coating of butter topped with sprinkles. Also to add, the kiwi bird is a New Zealand native bird and is only here in New Zealand :) the other animals are Australian :)
I’ve missed these kinds of videos. I found you because of this series forever ago and have been enjoying your content since. Would love to see these make a comeback every now and again! ☺️
In Australia, we pretty much use biscuits and cookies interchangeably (there's enough US influence to make cookies normal as well, like the Cookie Monster). But I think what you call biscuits (that you have with gravy) is more of a scone for us (scone with jam and cream).
In the UK cookie is reserved for the often soft and chewy chocolate or choc chip cookie, everything else is a biscuit or named specifically e.g. shortbread but you may still hear that called a shortbread biscuit. US biscuits are delicious, I would refer to those as savoury buttermilk scones.
@@analiseelizabeth6283 Not everyone in the US has biscuits with sausage gravy. I grew up in the northeast and never had it until I was almost 40 years old.

I like musk sticks, but I always preferred the fruit-flavoured sticks instead. We have Twix here too, not really anything like a boost, but I appreciate you trying 😂 does anyone remember Furry Friends having pictures on them ages ago or is that just me? Now fairy bread, is my absolute favourite. It should honestly be a food group. I think I enjoy eating it more than any kid I’ve ever met. Works great with wholemeal bread too, but the best kind is super soft white bread (wonder bread or tip top here in Australia), real butter and sprinkles. I prefer the long cupcake sprinkles because hundreds &thousands are too hard for my adult teeth now 😂
I’m 33 and don’t remember pics on furry friends only the wrapping having it. I remember it always having Cadbury written on it. I now buy them for my toddler daughter along with kinder surprise and freddos as a special thing
In the Netherlands they eat something similar called Hagelslag, it comes in a large variety of flavours and is much softer than regular sprinkles, so kinder on the teeth when chewing.
Hi Emmy. I’m a new subscriber, and I absolutely love your content. As an Aussie, I can tell you that fairy bread is amazing. I've actually never even thought about it before to be honest but if I think about it they maybe rose flavoured because the first time I tried traditional Turkish Delight it did remind me of musk sticks. The musk sticks you can find now aren't as strongly flavoured as they were as a kid but are still the best.

Hooray, I'm so glad to see one of these videos from you again! These world tasting videos seemed to go by the wayside for you Emmy, any particular reason?
I discovered Ann a little over a year ago after watching one of her debunking videos (which everyone should be watching instead of 5 minute crafts and similar channels since they’ll all awful and potentially dangerous), and subbed about halfway through whichever one I watched first. She’s the best, and the fact that she sent Emmy a snack package makes her even better in my book. :)
Eep I’m so happy Ann nailed it with all the treats! Hundreds and thousands biscuits were a lunch box treat for me. I love them! And yes fairy bread is made with butter. I’m very un-Australian in that I don’t like fairy bread 😅

I had ordered Arnott's Shapes Pizza Flavor from Amazon back in 2018. I remember not really caring for them, thus never reordered. Amazon has several flavors, and Timtams too. Gonna order some Timtams! Doing some geneology on my family name, we have some distant relatives in Australia. Seems at least five Revells got shipped from England to the penal colonies in Oz back in the 1800s. Luckily two Revell brothers were fleeter of foot, and came to the American colonies. They begat our family line! 😎

My Son took me to Australia when I turned 50 (I’m 65 now). I have lived in many foreign countries & visiting Australia was my favorite country outside of the USA.
Ok Emmy, as an Australian here are some things you asked, fairy bread is not toasted and yes butter and sprinkles(100's and 1000's in Australia), shapes biscuits are the same shape as the front picture in white on the box, Tim Tam slam can be hot or cold(I prefer cold), musk sticks go hard really quickly, air tight container is a good idea 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘
I just found this! Eucalyptus drops are my favourite. They used to sell them at the school canteen (tuckshop) and they were always a bestseller. My daughter currently lives in London and I will occasionally send a little care package over with her favourite chips and some eucalyptus lollies.

The taste testing videos ?? I used to bing watch hers !!! She inspired me to have my own channel and do taste testing videos !!! I hope she starts doing them again !!!
Well, seeing as you asked lol, in New Zealand we say "ar-nits". And you're saying jaffas wrong, but I can't explain how we say it haha You gotta have tim tams with a hot drink, it melts the biscuits and makes them deliciously gooey! Yes of course the butter holds the sprinkles on, and it has to be real butter, not margarine, and white bread, crusts removed, and cut into triangles lol one of my favorite party foods. The Kiwi is New Zealand's national bird. And that is a "kiwi", not the fruit 😆 the fruit is a "kiwifruit".
It’s Arr-nets here in Aus! Different accent and vowels. She’s saying Jaffa correctly just with her accent it’s more heavy sounding, kinda like saying the name Jafar from Aladdin! I also agree with the kiwi vs kiwi fruit thing! Many overseas call it the kiwi bird which is kinda like saying koala bear! Also pavlova is Australian as you guys take the cake with the lamington!
It's kinda funny seeing these phonetic spellings because to a typical American "Ar-nits" would sound like them saying how you'd pronounce "arr-KNITS" (think a heavy 'r' sound, like a pirate would make) and "Arr-nets" would be pronounced similarly, except with emphasis on NETS. Phonetic spelling of Arnott's for an American would be more like "AH-ntz" but to get the distinction between a typical New Zealand accent and a typical Australian accent on the last vowel would require something a little more heavy-duty than what a keyboard can represent (and a lot more knowledge of linguistics too.)
Fairy bread is cheap white bread (think wonderbread), margarine (if you're sticking to the 90's original recipe) and then cheap coles sprinkles. It's weird how good it tastes.
AMEN !!!! We should do a campaign for EMMY to bring back the snack taste testing videos back !!!! She really inspired me to make my own channel and do taste testing videos !!!
You me and a few thousand of her fans both !!! We all miss her Emmy Eats videos !!! I was inspired by her taste testing videos to make my own channel and do my own taste testing videos just like hers lol. I hope she brings this series back !!!
fun fact: UK/AU chocolate is made with a different process than US chocolate. it tastes sweeter even when made with the same ratio of sugar, milk, cocoa, etc. I've seen an English girl gagging at the "bitter" taste of a regular milk chocolate Hershey bar, and many Americans make faces at the sweetness of standard Cadbury bars. it's just up to what you're used to, I suppose!
lmao. goes on about how the timtams are very fancy, seasonal release and then starts on about doing a "tim tam slam" !!!! typical ozzie, all class!! lol
The flowers on the post box are called callistemon, or bottle brushes. Endemic to Australia, very hardy, and wonderful for native animals for food and habitat.
I miss her snack tasting videos !!!! She inspired me to make my own channel and do snack and foo taste testing videos !! I hope she keeps doing these videos !!!
You could cook the rice in Red Wine, and then add Olive Oil to cool it. This will help to digest slower if it is white rice. If it is brown rice you could cook it in mustard to help break it down, and infuse it with Turmeric. Diabetes in Japan is caused by white rice breaking down to quickly.

I love when 2 wholesome channels get in touch with each other. A collab of Anne and Emmy would be soooooo amazing!
I cannot believe you ate the whole of Australia :0 a remarkable achievement!!
Love your croissant plushie profile pic! It's adorable!
@@mrs.antihero thank you!!
not me crying because emmy and ann are my two fave cooking channels on youtube
Musk sticks are so nostalgic for me. I use to go crazy for them as a kid. I still love them to this day.
Do they taste like rose / rose water ? id love to try them in one of my taste testing videos !!!
I've actually never even thought about it before to be honest but if I think about it they maybe rose flavoured because the first time I tried traditional Turkish Delight it did remind me of musk sticks. The musk sticks you can find now aren't as strongly flavoured as they were as a kid but are still the best.
@@Yunalezcarh Oh yummy :) I wish we had them here so I could try them in my taste testing videos !!! Ive already tried TIM TAM cookies on my channel and they R delicious !!!
We tend to more so eat eucalyptus drops when we have a sore throat, but some people enjoy them when not anyways. They’re not cough ones but they can be used like that because eucalyptus has a soothing affect like honey
Ann and Emmy! My favorites! This makes me so happy!
OMG an "Emmy eats". It was this format that brought me to this channel and I missed it a lot!
me too sister !!! I miss her taste testing videos !! Im addicted to those !!! LOL She inspired me to make my own channel and do taste testing videos like the ones she does.
I love Ann Reardon and this cross over makes me very happy
I think you're right but I have so many of That 😎😂
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I love when I’m subscribed to people that collab with Anne, love both of you! I love the Mango and cream timtams! In Australia we say Arnets, I must say I slam with hot milk too!
We call most biscuits, but we also called cookies cookies (the round ones with chocolate chips or whatever)
As someone who loves musk sticks your reaction to them was priceless!
I wish I could try musk sticks in my taste testing videos. Does it taste like rose and rosewater ?
@@FoodTastertv more like a weird perfume.
I've missed these videos , excited you brought it back for a video

You need to give yourself a treat and try it with whipped cream rather than butter. 😉

You are not the only one that misses EMMY EATS snack tasting videos !!! She inspired me to make my own channel and do taste testing videos like hers LOL. I want her to bring this series back so bad !!!!
i love watching your videos while high bc you articulately describe food, it makes my brain happy
Yay! Back to the roots. I found your channel through these unboxing treats from different parts of the world videos. It's been years. And I am so grateful I found you. Love from Germany.💜
It seems like a lot of her fan base loved these snack tasting videos !!! I wish she would bring this series back again !!! I loved her taste testing videos too !!! She inspired me to make my own channel and do snack tasting videos .
wohoo another Emmy eats a Country Episode. Been a while since you made one. Watching it right now
I found her a few years back because of these vides and ever since then she has inspired me to make my own channel and do snack taste testing and food taste testing videos !! I wish she would make more videos like this !!!
Two of my favorite UA-camrs! I love you guys so much! Thank you for being you 💚
I’m so so jelly about the cookbook Ann sent you. I bet you’re going to make goodies from the book one day
that was so much fun to watch. Ann Reardon's cookbook is wonderful! anyone who hasn't seen her channel needs to check it out. she is a pleasure to watch and she has a lovely personality. I do love when she features her husband trying out some new food trend. He has great expressions!

My Son took me to Australia when I turned 50 (I’m 65 now). I have lived in many foreign countries & visiting Australia was my favorite country outside of the USA.
Did you ever have anyone send you food from Papua New Guinea? Pretty sure Jaffa’s are originally from NZ! ;)
There’s a NZ registered trademark for them but they were released into both Aus and NZ in 1931 😀
@@lmaree200886 lol 😂 Kiwis will always claim Jaffas as another product Australia stole from us! 😂
OMG THIS IS THE BEST COLLAB EVER 😍 I may or may not have squealed 💕
Hi Emmy! you should do a series where you try all the different recipes in Ann Reardon's cookbook and tasting them. it'll be so interesting and fun!
I just found this! Eucalyptus drops are my favourite. They used to sell them at the school canteen (tuckshop) and they were always a bestseller. My daughter currently lives in London and I will occasionally send a little care package over with her favourite chips and some eucalyptus lollies.
Boost bars are one of the few little treats I crave every few months *assuming the UK version is similar to the OZ version*

Well, seeing as you asked lol, in New Zealand we say "ar-nits". And you're saying jaffas wrong, but I can't explain how we say it haha
You gotta have tim tams with a hot drink, it melts the biscuits and makes them deliciously gooey!
Does it have to be butter to hold the sprinkles? Can't I use Vegemite instead 😋?
@@karmesindryade That's not funny
@@lmaree200886 I did not want to offend anyone. I really LOVE Vegemite 💖💖💖💖💖 And I like the combination of sweet and savoury. 😋
Fairy bread is the food of my childhood. White bread, butter and hundreds & thousands. You know you're in for a good time if these are served!
You timtam slam in whatever way makes you happy 😊
The benefit of using a hot drink is that it dissolves the inner chocolate and biscuit better
Fairy bread is cheap white bread (think wonderbread), margarine (if you're sticking to the 90's original recipe) and then cheap coles sprinkles.
It's weird how good it tastes.
Have you tried the coles brand 100 and 1000s biscuits? They’re amazing,
If you are sticking to the 90’s recipe, you are two decades too late.
Always prefer using salted butter.
Nestle makes a Caramac candy bar but it is only sold in Germany. I love it.

Musk is indeed very…perfume-y. Unique. Accidentally ordered some musk flavored sweets before and the flavor was very hard to get out of my mouth lol
I imagine that musk sticks taste like musky perfume and sugar.
Musk in perfume is from glands in a deer.

Or beaver
fun fact: UK/AU chocolate is made with a different process than US chocolate. it tastes sweeter even when made with the same ratio of sugar, milk, cocoa, etc. I've seen an English girl gagging at the "bitter" taste of a regular milk chocolate Hershey bar, and many Americans make faces at the sweetness of standard Cadbury bars. it's just up to what you're used to, I suppose!

Fairy bread is White bread, butter and hundreds and thousands (sprinkles). Used for birthdays snacks along with sausage rolls which was easy to fill the kids 😄
Its pronounced "R-nuts" in Australia. 😉
What a blast from the past with this video, absolutely loved it and the fact the treats were sent by Ann Reardon makes them even more sweeter!! 😍😍😍😍
Hi from Australia, Emmy. Yep a bottlebrush. My childhood backyard had one.
