I love the difference between Bill and Bob. Bill’s style was much looser and organic while Bob kept things a little tighter. Their personalities were such an awesome contrast too with Bill’s fiery commentary and Bob’s soft intimacy. They both, however, felt what they did deep within the core of their spirit and it came out in every show, every painting, and every stroke of the brush. So happy to be able to watch them both again. They were a beloved part of my childhood.
I absolutely love this man. His growling as he attacks the canvas is awesome. He's also has a great sense of humour and very very funny. And not forgetting his actual art which is incredible aswell.
I wonder how involved he was in the war during his time serving with the German army before his capture. I think that it would be interesting to know more about that. I'm an artist but also love military history. Hmmmm.
Excellent oh great teacher, I informed you that you were a teacher of Bob Ross, really fantastic, as they paint naturally, Congratulations, thank you for your teachings.
Amazing man, Bill I just had to tell you that although I do not paint with oils when I came across his videos last year, I was completely in ore of his teaching and paintings. I work with acrylics and have learnt so much from him. When I subscribed to your channel it was the best thing I could have done. I hope you never stop showing Bill painting. I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful and safe New Year for you and your families, from us here in Australia 🤗
26:18 Cool ending. Bill: Weve come to a happy ending Bob: Old clock on the wall reminds me its about time to bring the show to a close. Appreciate the way Bill chants before the show.
Thank you for watching me, i love you. I got such joy watching Bill when i was a kid and the joy is still there now that im an old fart. Thank you for uploading these
Wish I'd had a chance to meet him, seems like he was a genuinely happy and humble person. That happiness and joy with life was like an aura around him and it jumped to the canvas when he painted. How many times did he say not to worry about what you thought were mistakes? Don't worry, they can work for you. Let the paint do the work... and it did. When he used the brush or knife it was always magnificent. Hell, I think he could've painted with a tire iron, tennis ball, whatever he wanted to use it would've been great :) First I thought he would've driven DaVinci crazy, but now I think they would've been best buds. Excuse me if I sound blasphemous, but he would've had fun with God making Creation. Just imagine... God says "You do it, go ahead." Bill "But I am not God, YOU are the mighty CREE-ATOR!" God laughs "It's O.K. Bill, I imbued you with artistic gifts. You'll have fun. YOU CAN DO IT!" Bill "Okay.... First we must have dark so ...now We make it dark, dark, dark (whisper whisper).... " Then Bill roars "Let there be LIGHT!" God applauds thunderously, laughing "Bill that's great!" Bill "Can we do it again?" God "Well, Bill, that's enough for now. But you're going to Earth and you'll make clouds, trees, mountains, rivers, creations that will bring joy and happiness to multitudes. You'll love it."
Maybe it's just the videos, but Bill's work always looks more muted/realistic compared to Bob's more saturated look. I much prefer Bill's work, but I love both personalities.
You're a amazing artist, every picture of you is perfect. I don't know what to say, I love all of your pictures. But is it true, that you were jealous about bob Ross?
Jayjay Ok I don’t want to discuss it in this forum. That was a long time ago and a lot of people have learned to paint thanks to both Bill Alexander and Bob Ross
Trucker Daddy - AKA John in Québec This show along with others came from our archives. Alexander Art produced over 200 shows of Bill’s between the years 1986-1994. We have a monthly membership at Alexanderart.com where our members have access to all of Bill’s shows along with a couple hundred others that we produced featuring other artists.
Frances Macdonald. Nothing wrong with preferring one over the other... It's just a matter of style and personally, I see it as a win win, can't go wrong either way.
Peter Picciolini I really have to respectfully disagree...as a child comeing home from school, mom in the kitchen cooking dinner and us kids watching Bill was hypnotizing.I remember when he retired and passed the brush to Bob Ross. He said"I pass this mighty brush to a mighty man" and Bob stepped into his footsteps.Bob Ross was very good, but not as good as Bill... just my opinion.
Seriously? Dick hard paint?? Time. 21.18. I thought it was something wrong with my ears, but the word-generator proves my ears right. I hate it when my paint gets dick hard. I was cleaning my brush for hours today. Will try this painting tonight!

But is it true, that you were jealous about bob Ross?
Jayjay Ok Bill had nothing to be jealous about with Bob Ross. He wa hurt by Bob but wasn’t jealous.
@@AAlexanderArt
Is it because Bob Ross copied him?
Jayjay Ok I don’t want to discuss it in this forum. That was a long time ago and a lot of people have learned to paint thanks to both Bill Alexander and Bob Ross
Bob didn't copy him, he learned from him and no, Bill wasn't jealous, more disappointed
Gosh! Thanks!
If your wife makes you mad, you paint a picture of her with a long nose!
Thanks for this.

Super Super Super!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You realize he's german and said: "Let's get a little bit of the prussian blue."
When it comes to considering Alexander and Bob Ross, surely that student became the master.

Witch one Bills Alexandra vs Bob Ross witch one comment

Didn't he train bob ross
Yes, he's the one that taught Bob Ross most of the techniques he's famous for lol
Seriously? Dick hard paint?? Time. 21.18. I thought it was something wrong with my ears, but the word-generator proves my ears right. I hate it when my paint gets dick hard. I was cleaning my brush for hours today. Will try this painting tonight!
I'm stick with Bob Ross, I like to understand what they saying
Youssef Dirani it’s a good thing Bob Ross understood what Bill was saying or you’d never have known Bob Ross. Hehe
@@moonbubbles3046 that's why Ross decided to do his own show.... Couldn't understand a single word this dude was saying
Youssef Dirani lol no.
This is the guy that Bob learned from.
Youssef Dirani Please understand, English is not his native language, but I will, I will, I will bet you can't speak German fluently.
