The scene where Damon says goodbye to to elena makes me bawl my eyes out every time
When he refered to her as baby 😭
Are we gonna forget the reason Damon didn’t make it in time was because he stayed behind to help Liz , he didn’t even hesitate. It was his instinct. A true and pure heroic move and that’s why he is gone and no one knows about this and they will never know and let’s not forget the reason he was even on the other side was because he blew himself up so that he could bring his loved ones back and pretty much save the whole town from travelers a very selfless move indeed . He was the hero in this episode and there is no doubt about it
damon and liz is such an underrated friendship

If you think about it Damon and Julian just saved the whole Vampires including the Originals.
@@shade8569 yeah I though about the same thing, it might not be easy to kill the originals but they were still created by witch magic and without it , they’re pretty much dead just like any other vampires.they don’t have any advantage in this situation so I guess Damon with the help of others actually save the whole vampire race 🤔

It’s never gonna get any better than this, I peaked” he is such a softie with Elena despite coming onto the show as ‘the bad guy’. Nobody compares to Damon when it comes to speeches. Such a beautiful speech and Elena didn’t even hear it bc he’s a ghost but Damon is so sweet and romantic with Elena. He literally loves her so much, even when he got to Bonnie his concern was whether Elena had gone through or not 😭🥺
the fact that i get to die knowing i was loved, this line describes many things, he was never loved, not by his mother, not by his 1st true love(katherine), not really by his brother (i mean stef loves damon very much but the problem is he never get to know that), and finally he was loved "not just by anyone, by you, elena gilbert", that happiness in his words even he knew that he was going to die, just that satisfaction, relief, his hope full-filled , the girl, the love of his life loved him too and chose to bewith him❤️🥺
This episode literally made me love Lexi even more she is so selfless and I felt so bad for Stefan losing Damon and Lexi but I love how Caroline was there to comfort him.
I hate that I'm cynical enough to see that the writers just made that up as an excuse to keep her as a rarely recurring character. I'm pretty sure bringing back 1 more person wouldn't have killed Bonnie.
Damon literally swapped places with Stefan and we all know he would do it in a heart beat every time 😭 I cry whenever I see Damon say goodbye, the song in the background just triggers me 😭❤️
Damon sacrificed himself to save mystic falls and didn’t make it in time bc he was helping Liz so that alone shows how much he cares for her and how much he’s changed so far in this show, I love his development through the seasons. Bonnies talk with Grams was everything 🥺
Delena gives all the feels. Elena getting in the car with him and them holding hands before the explosion, she’s his ride or die. The way all three of my fav characters in this show were going through it in this episode (Damon, Elena, and Bonnie). The delena scene BROKE ME and then Damon and Bonnie both not making it broke my heart

My hearts bleeds for Sofie....Most of us here know how it all ends, but watching it again with her still hurts, as if I was watching for the first time. :( Damn this show for never failing to make us cry. These Delena moments kill me every single time.
I cried so hard when I watched this episode. That speech Damon gives to Elena is incredible and heartbreaking. I love that moment where Bonnie and Damon hold hands at the end. This is one of my favorite, if not my favorite finale of this show. You’re lucky you don’t have to wait months to see what happens next. Season 6 is my favorite season. The villain, the character development, the relationships, the character moments and storyline is all top notch.
Jeremy running and screaming "Bonnie" gets me because I know they all love her but she is too selfless and deserves much more for how often she saves everyone except herself. Loving the Bonnie and Damon ending holding hands and smiling as it goes white to cut screen.
By far the best, dramatic, most beautiful, exciting, yet cry my eyes out season finale of The Vampire Diaries ever! ❤❤

This season finale was soo sad, but soo good once again. The last about 10 minutes are just super easy to cry about for me.
I am happy though that at least we got Alaric back.
Caroline couldn't even kill Stefan's doppelganger, Tom, before just to save Stefan's life but now she just killed someone without hesitation just to bring him back alive. I love the development.

I was ugly crying when I watched this episode. It was so unexpected and heartbreaking.

I always have a love/hate relationship with Lexi
Because while she's a wonderful character and a good friend to Stefan and all
She - unintentionally - ruined Stefan's life and middled in his relationship with Damon
I know she meant well, but if she let Damon be withbhis brother and actually teach him how to embrace his blood lust and learn how to control it rather than fight it
Both Stefan and Damon would have been in a much better place now
