One of the worst seasons, yet the best season finale. The duality of man.

@@CJ-bk9vt late as fook, but I do agree the last scene of the season 1 finale with the Kathrine reveal is probably the best in the series, if the the last episode of season 2 was the sacrifice I would agree, but the actual finale is Damon with his Werewolf bite and Stefan which is considerably weaker. The season 5 finale is the sweet spot, great overall episode and a string of fantastic closing scenes, especially the last one with Damon and Bonnie going into the the white ending screen, sensational.
No matter how bad the season is, Vampire diaries always has great finales.

You guys are overthinking it all of them are still vampires, the only Tyler wasn’t a hybrid anymore was not because he died it was because he went over the town boarder, so he was stripped layer by layer of his powers just like Sloan

What Damon says to Elena “You are by far the greatest thing that ever happened to me in my 173 years on this earth. The fact that I get to die knowing that I was loved not just by anyone, by you, Elena Gilbert, is the epitome of a fulfilled life” reminds me of when Book Damon said "Will you remember? For me? Just that…I loved once-just once, really, in my whole life. Can you remember that I loved you? That makes my life…worth…something" I love them 😭. This is one of my favorite season finales and it leads into my favorite season. Damon didn’t care about the town when he first arrived and now he died to save it.

No, guys they would be back in the state they died. So all vampires and an Original Alaric. Tyler literally died as just a werewolf so that's why his case is different. Damon and Elena died before they were fully turned back to human state so they are fine.
He isn't even a werewolf anymore, just someone with the werewolf gene...

After this finale, with waiting a whole year honestly and the screen going white instead of black- it felt VERY final with Bamons death
I know it's supposed to be romantic that elena went with damon but I think it's stupid, one more person dead, one more person Bonnie has to bring back, one more person closer to her death 🙂 I hate how they use stupidity as romance.
I do like that Ian has commented that he now when he is older really hate the Delena relationship and that it was toxic for both Damon and Elena
@@DarthKay093 delena has always been and will always be toxic, I just hate that they know it's toxic and the writers are romanticising it which is very problematic since the target demographic of this show is pre-teens and teens.
@@nora_1995 + I hate how that toxicity is still present and still going on in real life towards Ian’s & Nina’s partners / families. Like I saw so much hate on Nikki when she and Ian announced she is with child.

I used to be a part of this fandom for over 10 years but then I started hating TVD partly because of delena/elena/damon and partly because of the fans. The way fans become so obsessed that they just never see reason. Calling leah ugly, untalented, washed up?? How is that sane?
@@nora_1995 like that is not normal behaviour. The fans especially for toxic relationships aka Delena/Klaroline are so creepy that they don’t seem to understand difference between fiction and reality.

Why is Kyle hung on the Stelena/Delena storyline?? TVD is not about the love triangle, it's about the love of the brothers, maybe if you learn that, you will learn to like Stefan more!

Yeah and that's so annoying😫 It's okay to ship delena but why hate on Stefan and be so mean. Stefan is literally the main protagonist of the show. It begins with him and continues to the very last episode. This is his story. And a story of two brothers.
In my opinion the writers wanted to keep the delena stelena all the time which for a normal viewer it can be perceived like they are always toying with the idea elena changing the brother. Which they actually did have this idea, to make the change again but for obvious reasons they couldn’t change it. But next season they finally make it clear , Stefan without the triangle is a much better character and actual protagonist and it suits him. But if we see it as a justice then when stelena was together delena had scenes so it’s fair to give scenes and moments for stelena too when delena is. But it’s just disgusting in a logical way after elena changing the brothers to keep doing that and just degrading her character and the situation.
@@user-bk9bs3oc8c Yeah right but Stefan has been one of the best characters since S1 with Elena or without elena, doesn't matter! But yes the writers wanted to have that space to shift things again therefore stefan was seen as a hopeless romantic sometimes. But let's not forget how much he loved her, more than his craving for blood as Klaus said. I'm not against stelena moments, I find them beautiful specially because of stefan and how he handled so much pain and heartbreak.

It’s just that some characters are easier to like, the more easy going charismatic funny character was damon with all his faults and it’s why people like him more and the way Ian plays him. For me Stefan was a very good character since the beginning but because of the romance he didn’t have a lot of room as a character. Adding the traits like stoic and more boring I think are a factor to how the character was perceived and why damon was more popular. And when the delena happens in my opinon Stefan becomes a more positive, playful person who shines more in his own. Damon had that space from the beginning so with or without the romance he “shined”. But with Stefan it happens after the triangle when he is the protagonist. Maybe because of Paul too, who is a fantastic actor, but we know that he was also more like stefan as a person when he started and by this season he became so much more open and fun for everyone and that affected his performance too. Stefan is a brilliant character and the ones who say that he wasn’t the protagonist or something are just stupid. And delena happening is the most disgusting thing who degraded elena as a character a lot. Damon was already in this stage lol. Stefan is the better person, better brother, better everything. But it’s very logical that damon is more popular. The fans are terrible tho. And sorry for this being so long my god 😂
This might be my favorite season finale of the show. It’s so good, yet so heartbreaking. Can’t wait for you to start season 6! It’s one of my favorite seasons.

If you had watched season 1 of The Originals at the same time as TVD season 5, you'd see how this is all effecting them as well.

the border turned tyler to werewolf then human then he died. stefan died as a vampire. so does elena and damon. that's why they wanted to blow up the grill as fast as they could because the magic inside mystic falls was converting them to human and they wanted to die before that, as a vampire, which they did.
although i don't understand that if tyler is turned to human should he go to the other side or normal human hell/heaven? when human with werewolf genes before breaking their curse die, do they still go to the other side? so did tyler's dad go to the other side? This question confused me when I first watched this episode.
I love that you all have a full blown debrief after the reaction. Not sure if anyone else addressed this but the reason Tyler came back human was coz of the way he died. He was killed when he went over the town line and the magic was drained from him. Everyone else who died did so in the supernatural forms (Elena and Damon blew up, Stefan and Enzos hearts were ripped out, Alaric died as a vampire etc.)
Season 6 is absolutely the best! Just a heads up you'll meet the best villain and one of my favorite characters in the entire series
Elena trying to die too is stupid, if they would've think carefully they should know it's not easy for Bonnie to just bring them back, one person dead and that brings Bonnie one step closer to death

I promised myself that if Damon didn't come back, I would be done with this show. Stefan may have started out the hero of the story but in the past four years, Damon has made himself out to be the true hero of the story

I think the show would have been better of if instead of focusing on the Delena/Stelena stuff they focused on the brothers and made them both realize they love eachother more then they could ever love a romantic partner. Stefan/Damon brotherhood >> Delena/Stelena

You guys are funny. Aqeel reminded me of that meme that says “source: dude trust me” when you guys were talking about whether the show can go on without Damon. Something I didn’t like about this episode is how Caroline killed Luke to save Stefan but earlier in the season she was questioning Elena’s morality when Elena staked Jesse to save Damon
Yeah but I think the difference lies in the fact that they are actually trying to bring the dead ones back--it ensures Liv will help bring them back, Luke included
@@emma8309 But Caroline didn’t have a way of guaranteeing that Luke could be brought back or that the plan would work. There was a chance that he could stay dead and she didn’t hesitate to snap his neck bc Stefan was on the other side
@@Rose-qd7ud Well, because of Caroline the spell was performed by Liv and they were able to come back. That was very smart of her. There was no other option or time left. In case of jesse, Caroline liked that guy and saw a potential relationship with him and don't forget he was innocent. But liv and luke only cared about their coven and wanted doppelgangers to be dead.
why are the comments so pissed about y'all like damon more 😭 is just a preference over a Fictional character
I think most of the comments are about the double standard of praising Damon for doing something or for acting in a type of way and, on the flip side, hating on a character for pretty much everything aside form breathing or even for doing similar stuff that they like in other characters but somehow they don't like in others
It is still usually pointless or unhelpful to comment on it, and a lot of times it gets annoying for sure, but I think is just that... not just simply that they have a preference but the double standard of what they claim that preference is based on... But we all like what we like and we can even be inconsistent with it and not even have a good reason for it, it's all good, as long as we don't claim we are being objective when we are not.

@@Alewaxon it's only a "double standard" for those who don't understand reality or how the world works. No 2 people are equal. Whether you like that or not. It's for the same reason in trials, a tactic is to appeal to the jury. If someone is more likable or can connect with the jury, they can be "judged" different for a similar act. Bringing it back to this show, Damon can do the same thing thing Stefan and/or any other character, but his action won't be condemned because there's other factors that go into the judgement. His charm, his looks, his style/vibe, his reasoning, the way he does it, etc. That's why this "double standard" argument isn't that valid because it's ignoring 90% of what makes each person different. Whether you agree or disagree on 'how it should be". This is the reality of the world and isn't changing

Who cares if it's toxic or not. It's a TV show FFS. They can enjoy and dislike what they want. And guess what? That's the beauty of media/art. People can take and enjoy what they want from it.
Damon is more entertaining and his personality is overall enjoyable for the viewer. Its a preference
