I'd be here forever if I acurately stated how much Burton's music has meant to me. Over and over again do I listen to his songs. Thanks, Burton for sharing your music with all of us.
So correct to honour Burton in the town that started everything for him and Randy. One of the greatest vocals of all time, don’t forget he wrote most of the music as well.
I'm glad they are not in. I wouldn't want them having to choose between pleasing their fans and demeaning themselves by accepting induction. The RRHF is a travesty to the industry. It's time for fans to reject it outright so that the musicians can follow suit. Many of their colleagues have already rejected the HOF. How can Jethro Tull not be in the HOF for all they have done for progressive and brilliant music? How could Deep Purple, pioneers of hard rock have to wait 32 years to get in (four years after the passing of their founder and brilliant keyboard player, John Lord). And I could go on with a hundred more examples. It is a completely flawed operation only interested in the money and not the integrity. But in terms of a hypothetical fair and integrous HOF, one could make a considerable case for inducting the Guess Who.
@@joeblog2672 I don't argue with a thing you say. I have had numerous Canadians suggest the band doesn't want anything to do with the HOF for various reasons.
Burt, you may not read this but happy birthday and many happy returns from a 68 year old fan in the USA. Thanks for the music, - and for your attitude towards our great country.
First heard No Time as a young child on KB Buffalo radio. Then Laughing and I was hooked ever since. Burton is tremendous. Happy birthday and at least 40 more!

My friend (RIP) and his nephew drank with Burton in 2004 at the Pony Coral in Fort Richmond Apparently he got up and started to sing "American Woman" there was only 30 - 35 people but they still went nuts, singing along, big round of applause at the end. I wasn't there (wish I was) just heard the story after, they were also invited back to Burton's place to "party" but the owner of the establishment (Jimmy RIP) wouldn't allow it, he said "Burton is an extremely valued customer and we have to look out for his best interests" and they called him a cab he was pretty hammered from what I heard lol.
I don't blame him for having his birthday in Canada US didn't appreciate him that much to put him in the Hall of Fame like they did some of the other rock and rollers that weren't US citizens either they were from England maybe some other countries I don't know off the top of my head right now but because he was from Canada he didn't get included in anything I didn't even know about him till later years I'm 89 now and I'm glad I found him late in life now I like him better than anybody else happy birthday Burton.🌾💳😍😍
Happy birthday, Sir Burton Cummings . From New Mother Nature No Sugar Tonight These Eyes Albert Flasher America Women Charlamaine Stand Tall My Own Way To Rock Thank You
So underrated. Bachman takes credit for far too much. He has more talent than most musicians who have awards all over the place. This guy should be mega rich, mega famous and mega honoured. And kind to boot!
They are too good for the American rock and roll hall of fame. They are in the Canadian Rock and Roll hall of fame and us canadians/fans are okay with it,
I disagree. It may not have the power he had in his mid-twenties but the man sounds mighty fine! I was at both SOLD OUT December concerts and he got numerous standing ovations.
Such an amazingly humble man. One of God's gifts to music.
I'd be here forever if I acurately stated how much Burton's music has meant to me. Over and over again do I listen to his songs. Thanks, Burton for sharing your music with all of us.
That's a great honor for a great musician/composer legend of Rock and Roll.
I have spent hours and hours and hours listening to his music. 🎹🎼🎤 Truly a brilliant musician.
And lyricist/composer!
So correct to honour Burton in the town that started everything for him and Randy. One of the greatest vocals of all time, don’t forget he wrote most of the music as well.

The Guess Who still not in the R&R Hall of Fame. Unbelievable.
