Eye stretches is my daily warm up, it surprises how often I lose my thumb even when patched. You would think this would all be so simple, but it’s not. I do not usually see double vision because I am really good at occlusion. I really have to concentrate to make sure both eyes are turned on. My therapist took me off the Brock string. He felt I wasn’t quite ready for it. I am working on watching my eyes in a mirror with polarized lenses, I am able to see both eyes up close but as I move the mirror back I will often lose an eye or gain an eye. Yea, I just love what I look like with three eyes. I am trying to read charts with red and green glasses. It is very difficult to read all the letters across the chart. I can get two or three but when I track to read the rest of the line, I lose the binocularity. Yesterday, I did find that it I angle the chart just right I can see feint letters with my weaker eye. That was a moment for cheering. I am still watching 3-d videos and I can see 3-d on them. Melissa thanks for being a sounding board. Even my husband (great man and helpful) doesn’t always understand how difficult this can be. The lack of personal experience with this makes our explanations difficult to understand. I like that you just know.
Husbands are the sweetest and just don't get the struggles of strabismus....unless they are the one who has it. I have done all of those activities as well. I've been really working on increasing divergence ranges and it is proving frustrating! I just want perfect vision, is it too much to ask??? Remember to look soft, open the peripheral and just let it happen. Don't forget luster, it can be so powerful.
I am 16 and have strabismus i have has since i would say i was in 7th but it wasnt that noticeable but now it is it happens on both the eyes i can change i dont really understand what it is when i went to the doctor he recommended eye exercises or surgery but when i am going to my parents about this they drops this topic idk why i am really scared my eye prescription rose to 4.5 yesterday Can you please help me out i really wanna get surgery done as i am really done with exercises and ita not working
If it just started in 7th grade I would really encourage you to try vision therapy first! I think it could work so well for you. I can help you find an office, just fill out the form at strabismussolutions.com/findvt/
