- This is EGO's all new 15" telescopic string trimmer with autoload. this thing is a BEAST! the brushless motor delivers a ton of power to plow down any thing short, tall, thin or thick. variable speed trigger, along with high and low speed settings help with the control for detail areas. all in all, this string trimmer is amazing!
Just bought this model. Looking forward to it. Wanted the telescoping, and power load. Dont want the Line IQ on the new models.

@@thecarplumbtrician I bought the other non-telescope and no power head, what a pain to feed the string through all the time! Plus , this one is actually a gift for my Wife, because she always wants to trim but the other one doesn’t fit her! She’s 5’3” 🤔 I already told her about and she is all excited 😆 Thanks 😊 again for the vid!! I’ll let you now how it goes😀 By the way we have the mower and blower and not stopping there 😀

Yes, all of the new batteries have the fuel guage with 5 bar intervals
St1511t is the newer model, not sure of what they did but yes you will be getting the new batteries!

Up to how many feet high weeds can this trimmer handle?
How long does the 5 ah battery last in thick stuff? I am thinking about buying this for doing my 8.5 acre lawn with 2 ponds lets just say there is a ton of trimming required. I would hate to run out of charge during a trim session.
You'd make it! I can do my full 7.5acre lot with plenty left over! We have a ton of flower beds
@@thecarplumbtrician to be honest I use it like a mower for certain areas and my weeds get really thick down by the pond. I am lucky if I get 25 min of high on 1-2.5 ah battery.
@@jonperez8513 I've only ran 5.0 or 7.5 in mine since getting it, I have a bunch of steep hills that I do the same thing with it! Do you have any bigger batteries for it?
@@thecarplumbtrician sadly I am not that far invested into the ecosystem. Not that I don't appreciate the level of quiet, the ease of use, the power, the reliability as I have already put it to serious use and I don't want to back out now. My request for you is and I know it's ridiculous. Could you run it wide open with the 5 ah battery? Not that I can't afford the 5 ah battery or the 7.5 ah battery I just want to know how much it will cost to make it usable for my application which could also apply to many contractors wanting to invest. This also may attract other contractors to your channel :)

I like it fully extended. I'm 5'11" and it just helps with reaching without bending over. Your back will thank you haha
How long does the battery last ?
I do about an hour worth of trimming and always have battery left
What the rpm on this?
It's variable speed with a hi/lo setting but I believe max rpm is about 5800rpm

But seriously I have the 511T and one false move and theres a bare spot even on low setting
Your right it does take some pretty steady control. I keep the guard on because I have a tendency over bumping the line feeder pretty often, and I'd end up have 3' of line whipping around hahaha
