That's what this world has come too, people just don't like hearing the truth. Especially if what being said is actually true.
Facts
Rob let's not forget how you was let go for that comment about RG3😂
9:41 he’s a liar!
Cornball brother😂😂😂 the whole studio knew as soon as rob said it
Bro when he said it. I was like bro you got Fired from ESPN.
Cornball brotha will forever be a classic lol
Harry Carey would not last a week now
He was great
What about Harry Doyle? 😂😂😂Maybe an inning
True, and if you remember, Chip Caray and Steve Stone were pushed out of the Cubs' booth for being critical of the way that the Cubs had been playing back in 04.
You mean the owner is an over sensitive trust fund kid who can’t stand any type of constructive criticism..? What a shock.
Plus he has a "little man" complex--(Angelos is a pint sized runt!!)
They set him up for the downfall like willy lump lump😂
They definitely set him up,, don't know if it was like willy lump lump.... whoever that is. Who is willy lump lump?
@@rtdsbg1😂😂😂😂
All he said was that they struggled at the Trop. A good nugget to show that they are now winning against the team that has stomped them in the past.
Don't forget that this is a team that worked REALLY hard to get the most losses ever in a season. It wasn't just TB Rays owning the O's, it was the AL East, the American League and the National League. They were terrible.
The guy literally read factual stats off a screen.
I like my sports commentators that put facts over feelings but are comical at the same time.
11:10 this part was really interesting, bc def a lot of people, myself included, think this to the point where thats just accepted as fact, but its really refreshing to kno everything genuine.
This is insane. I wouldn't want to work for an owner that terrible. He's doing his job.
I live in Maryland, he is hated universally here across the board. A spoiled trust fund punk ass smug sob
Odd couple is my favorite radio show - keepin it real
What he said didn't make them feel warm and fuzzy 😞
Y’all wouldn’t be talking about the orioles if this didn’t happen lol. Come on now
Didnt say anything about the team just some fact an announcer made. Its the only time they talk baseball is negative
They have talked about Shohei a bunch.
At least they’re talking about it, no other show is gonna talk about baseball
@@universe-ie2mkthat’s just a straight up lie lol.
@@universe-ie2mk this is incorrect & indicates you don't listen to the show regularly. Rob is passionate about baseball & makes it a habit to talk about the sport as much as possible given it's popularity - both positive & negative.
There's absolutely no way Rob would allow them to only speak negatively of baseball. He's one of the few mainstream commentators that discusses Baseball on non-Baseball podcasts/shows.
Lol I like how Rob skip the part where he got fired from ESPN for his comments on RG3😂
Of course they’re going to say everything we say is true on the air. Why would they say otherwise? Nick Wright and Skip Bayless troll on TV and play characters for ratings
Two or more things can be true:
1. Suspending him is a very bad thing
2. If you work for a company, everyone knows you don’t bad-mouth your company. It’s rarely worth it.
3. There is no way the producers didn’t know that they were going to discuss this, with graphics and notes etc The fact that you choose to punish only him, that sounds strange.
I didn't take that as badmouthing the team. How I interpret the statement is praising the Rays who have been a powerhouse lately as well as stating the facts.
Furthermore, going in depth can help the fan who doesn't follow the team about potential tiebreaker at the end of the season.
All in all that was a soft move
If they had fired him he'd probably be suing them. Its complete bullshit.
Baseball in general is so sensitive it's ridiculous
I think his name was Glenn keiper? He went to the" hard R" league hall of fame
Chris said " NIGGA " on FSN I think.... I seen the clip on Facebook 😂I swear... maybe he be slippin
Orioles management is bad. This is not surprising
Say you're butthurt without saying you're butthurt Orioles
32-50? that's awful
9:41 did the “cornball brother” incident not exist?
MLB should be lucky anyone is even watching Baltimore baseball
Long time viewer... Chris pointed it out directly that teams want and expect softer commentary with their
"on air" employees and still with story telling that has integrity. You can be an employee with ethics and still uplift the fans
with an organization that has been snake bit since their last championship against the 1983 Phillies... The region isn't a shake it off area like Chicago... And the Cubs or Boston's historical losing means nothing to us... The fans want an to create an expectation of great execution and winning before broadcasters sober us up, from our roses and shrooms after any regular season
weekend series. National guys attack all teams pointing out weaknesses; our local guys should give fans a respite... The team hasn't had a culture change with winning in nearly 25 years. Yes, all Orioles employees owe the fans a little spin...There is no area in society that has more negative talk than politics and sports... This is an example of the media mostly acting like Q dawgs to a fellow Q dawg...
It sounds like Broussard didn't research the topic again.....
Cornball brother
I was just thinking about that.
Rob G and Jason McIntyre should not talk ever
Dude that said the N-word had me crying 😂
Gen Z the most sensitive generation ever 😂😂
The decision to suspend him was decided by their 94 yo owner from the silent generation. Either he’s obnoxiously thin skinned or something happened off mic they’re hiding from the public.
@@chicagodude8888incorrect, the decision came down from the 94-year old owner’s son John who is the one running the team and been making a mockery of the city of Baltimore and it’s fans for years.
@@chicagodude8888nah it's John angelos the son.
@@SG-md9st My bad. He’s not gen z though. Still defies logic suspending a gut reading a caption. there had to be an off mic incident they’re hiding from the public.
Millennials started it😑
Damn bro, this country today is sofffttttt asfffff
“The Mets announcer” has a name: Gary Cohen. Put some respect on the man. The Mets may stink, but Gary’s the best play-by-play guy in the game.
Chris B has said Nigga on air before FOH! Don’t act like we don’t recall
Who cares?
Big difference let’s not be stupid
Jon Miller went off on a HORRIBLE baserunning play. It was Little League quality. Jon Miller now calls SF Giants games. Fast forward to now, and the younger Angelos proves that the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. The Angelos family really REALLY needs to work on not being a thin skinned swine.
Yankees need to fire the whole organization
This country had turned into a circus everyday another crazy story
I have no issue with the suspension. They write his checks. He should be selective on what facts he shares to not make his team look bad. He is not employed by a neutral party he is employed by the team.
Dude this came from producers, not him directly. There were GRAPHICS. And besides that, he simply stated pure statistical fact. What is wrong with that? Commentators shouldn't be shills, and the fact that so many of his peers called the Orioles out, is very telling.
The pussycat life of softness . Let's get back to helping the team.
There's nothing wrong with good criticism. Only way to learn and evolve from old mistakes. Guys gotta accept this because the truth shall be told . Sorry not sorry.
If you not performing well it's not rocket 🥼🚀
We live in a soft a$$ generation nowadays....it's sad but doesn't surprise me
Rob you got fired for falling rg3 a cornball brotha and marrying a republican lol. And Chris I know ESPN said something to you when you made that gay comment back with Jason collins
I think it was more about him being critical of him being with a white woman and at same time having braids
Owners own the company, they can do with it what they want. Do I really have to explain this to capitalists?
They certainly can do with it what they want--no matter how petty or stupid. (And fans can react accordingly!!)
@@nyterpfan No doubt Orioles fans will stop going to games in their most successful season in...
{shrugs}
I think this owner and owners in general are tyrannical fools...
This guy is just acting to type.
@@blogintonblakley2708 Fans will still attend games because they love the players and how great they've performed this season. BUT, they'll ALSO regard Angelos as a COMPLETE spoiled brat buttwipe--and will not be shy about expressing it!!
Bums get a lil success and thats how they get
This is bs
One more example of CANCEL CULTURE. The Orioles better have another reason of why they suspended him. What a JOKE.
It could of have been some behind the scene incident that had occurred and they took this incident as the last straw and suspended the guy.
@@therealdarrell282 True. Some folks have been saying that. But the Orioles better hurry up and state as such because they are getting hammered by everybody.
That has nothing to do with “cancel culture.” This was just a team being upset because the local guy wasn’t 100% favorable to the team.
