The thing I like most out of this discussion is that it appears the coaching brains are thinking scheme fit and versatility, rather than the old regimes apparent approach of "warm body" choices (by comparison) for the most part.
Williams definitely giving me Max Unger vibes. Great tape excited to see how the OL turns out with Lucas healthy looks like Hawks will have the best line they’ve had in a long time
The fact that the hawks are devoted to using players to their strengths and keeping the other team guessing, combined with some very good players is a recipe for success I see them, winning the West.spliting with sf. Beating the rams twice. With a ,13 and,4 record. At least a conference title appearance. Their coaching staff may not have been in the NFL yet. However the NFL has not prepared against them
Im ready for Geno Smith and this offense to be lethal this year. I hope McDonald will finally get our defense to play like a NFL defense. Our defense has been a joke for several years. If we get our defense right, the Seahawks can be a very dangerous team.
@@clintonalford7357 a perfect example is last season I’ve said this before numerous times when talking to my friends who are also Seahawks fans if our defense was at minimum AVERAGE last season we would’ve made the playoffs 100%
If the offensive line can stay healthy and play well, there’s zero reasons to believe that Seattle could drop 30 vs any team in the NFL! I’ve heard a lot of people saying that the Ravens defense was really good before Coach Mac was the defensive coordinator…Before Mac was their DC, the Ravens finished the season ranked 25th in the league defensively. In his 1st season as the DC he took them from 25th to 9th overall in his first year!! If Mac can turn this unit into a top 10-15 defense, with all of our offensive firepower, then everyone should be scared AF to play the Seahawks❗️If as a team, Seattle can stay healthy? Then there’s no reason to doubt that they’re a playoff contending team…#GoHawks
Is CW going to be as mobile after 2 ACL injury recoveries? Olu is going to start, but if he struggles at all, they will eventually bring in the more athletic center, whether Sundel or Williams, whoever is ready to go.
Olu is too slow for Grubb's system. He needs agile linemen who can move well in space and Olu had some of the slowest testing numbers for O-linemen at the combine. Connor Williams is FAST
He struggled as a guard but was the number 2 rated center, his position in college…so no to guard, he will play at center And he only wants to play center, is only 27, so will be a long term answer at center Plus Olu our center is a mauler and we need a different style center like connor. Then Olu is quality backup
Terrible way to look at it. You want the best player playing right? Draft is about projection. 5th rounders fail more than succeed. He won the awards but was like the 6th or 7th C drafted. Different coaching staff now. Different blocking scheme. And guys like Williams usually aren’t available so cheap and this time of year. Would be a mistake not to explore it.
@@PNW_STEFF my point is not being sold on a player as a rookie because he couldn’t beat out a vet is narrow minded…..hard to overcome the experience of a vet in your first year….and I know it happens regularly, just not this time….

I thought the show was great and have subscribed. Dan goes into more detail about the the Seahawks thinking on Williams than I have seen anywhere else. I also liked his commentary on Sundell. If Cross can't get his act together this year, Sundell might be a quality option.

If Connor Williams does sign hopefully they have a competition between the two and best man win..... Let's go!!!! Go Hawks 🏈 💙 💚
The way Williams knees have been, you might need 2 centers this year if you sign him.

Keep it up Dan!
I definitely think if olu can get faster he can be that guy but I think olu might be a good choice

He’s also injured with no known return timeline…maybe Nick Harris is the short term answer….
Huskies o line were pulling machines
I wish they would put Connor if he signs to left guard instead of center... but we'll just have to wait and see!!! Go Hawks 🏈 💙 💚
they might but like you said we’ll have to see because he can play both guard and center
He didn’t play nearly as well at LG. C is his best position.
I believe that I read somewhere (I can look it up) he is looking to sign as a Center not LG.
He struggled as a guard but was the number 2 rated center, his position in college…so no to guard, he will play at center

If Williams & Sundell make the team, then Olu and Harris may be expendable or candidates for the practice squad.
Olu will get it done at center
He should have been the starter all last year
Not sure how mobile the new left guard is????
The oline needs leadership. Tomlinson and Williams can fill that void. Especially if Haynes becomes the starter
Great video!!
Thanks Sanjit!!
More interior line competition the better
fans think Olu is some all pro C...
As I’ve said, I think he has solid starter upside. He may just not be the ideal fit for what they want to do.
So we drafted the best center in all of college 2 years ago and we're not going to use him now?! it's just like really?!! this is ridiculous!

That was by design, Olu was awarded the best offensive lineman in all of college lol
