@walidn9977 Yep thats because its usually exception to the rule and not the rule itself. It shouldn't be the norm, the norm is fulfil all rights but in some circumstances you might need to live separately due to college situation or university... so then if both husband and wife agree to forgo the right of for example 'living together' it would be allowed

This marriage did exist during the Prophet ﷺ time. Infact his spouse gave up her right which is misyar Sayyida A’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) relates that Sawda bint Zam’a (may Allah be pleased with her) gave up her [right of spending the] day [with the Messenger of Allah] to A’isha, and so the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) used to give A’isha both her day and the day of Sawda (Allah be pleased with both).” (Sahih al-Bukhari, no: 4914)
Any evidence that the prophet pbuh preached this to his ummah as a general ruling? And marriage concept? Because for example he had 9 wives while we are allowed max 4. Or acc to your books he allowed adult breastfeeding for salim, is it now allowed for everyone? With mutah he definitely did preach to his companions and hasnt been banned until umar enforced a ban on it.
MISYAR is just another name of ZOROASTRIAN Avestan """""""""""""PADIXSAYIHA"""""""""" marriage aka MUTTA aka SIGHEH. It is mainly used by ZOROASTRIAN SHIA Mullahs to do prostitution SEX with widowed and poor women of MEN who died in WAR. This marriage is temporary, for a mutually agreed period, and could thus function as a form of companionate marriage
Intriguing marriage concept. I suppose this allows men to marry additional women out of generosity. If there was an older woman who you may not otherwise marry but she proposes this then if you don't have to provide her all her rights, you could consider it. This could be very helpful for society if not abused.
It can also help young people who are still studying and cant provide the 'right of accommodation' so they can agree to forgo the right temporarily and marry

What if you marry a man as a second wife and you agree that you want fair treatment and equal rights to the first wife but he gives you a misyar marriage instead and it’s not what you want and then He makes excuses and gaslights you and keeps making promises and breaking them? What if the marriage you wanted and agreed to was not supposed to be a misyar marriage but he gives you that and knows you don’t want that and when he gets questioned he makes excuses? What if the husband doesn’t even tell his family or friends about the second marriage what does that mean? Surely that can’t be a fair or halal marriage right?
Misyar can only take place if *mutually agreed* since they are foregoing their rights. In a case of not providing rights or using trickery, that can be ground for divorce (confirm with an islamic scholar).
In regards to not telling family and friends, then scholars say this: 👇 Doing a secret marriage may seem attractive to the parties involved; however, this creates a great amount of problems in the family circle. It causes great pain and grief to the parents, and it amounts to disobedience on the part of the children, which is a great sin. Parents who have sacrificed and worked hard for the comfort of their kids, and have given everything to them, cannot deal with this conduct of their children. This behavior is totally opposing to the blessed teachings of Islam which seek to bring about happiness, joy, comfort and obedience to one’s parents. When children go against their parents in order to fulfill their lust and passions, they become the instruments for destroying the family ties. In these cases, it is often seen that the mother or father becomes so angry and grieved, that they do not want to see the daughter or the son. Some immediately break off their ties with their children and others disown the son or daughter. Secret marriages which have found its way among Muslims, are nothing less than the typical ‘runaway’ relationship. These marriages are void of the duas of the parents and their happiness, and instead, have become a means of destroying the relationship which existed between the parents and children.
