I get that people like these to be unassuming drag race cars... but man they're so much better for track and handling. Respect though. Nothing wrong with just dumping money in it to go fast in a straight.
I ditched my f80 stage 2 M4 comp to get back into a fiesta, I'm about 320 wheel and it's the most enjoyable car I've ever owned. Can't wait to do the XDI pump and get to 360
Dang that's nuts I'm looking at getting a 435i and stage 2 it as I've got an st180 already but I want to keep both. Id rather have the BMW for motorway driving up and down the UK and keep my fiesta for track and b roads
This accurate AF lol. I’ve had my fiesta ST since 2013. 340whp for 5 years. I should have sold it 5 years ago but I don’t have to, and everytime I drive it, I fall in love again. I have 9sec turbo fox mustang and the fiesta is way more fun.
With the rap that eco boost gets it blows my mind that you can wring this sort of horsepower out of it reliably. That things head gasket is made from a piece of Superman's cape.
MMMmmmm!!! Back in the day (Year 2000 give or take) I had a Focus SVT with cams, HKS cat back, zex wet 75 shot, enkei wheels, tein coilovers, and some more I forget.. Dang what a fun car.. Now I'm 43😊
Mine isn’t as crazy but I focused more on suspension and handling but I’m FBO and e40. These cars really shine on a backroad or track. At some point I’ll probably go bigger turbo but I’ll do built trans first. They really are a fun car to own!
@@Ejiokpa16 I agree! Hey why are you planning to build the trans? I've seen these with 400WHP and the transmission didn't break. What kind of power are you looking for that you need a built transmission?
@@georgevigil7001 I just want an LSD for cornering and being able to put the power down and better synchros to handle more power. I’m having the 4th gear input shaft bearing whine. I might as well get a built trans before more power is added.
The motor mounts are so bad in these. First thing I changed out on mine as soon as I started adding power. Not sure what ford was thinking on that one lol. Cool car and crazy build! I moved back over to F56 mini platform but still miss the Fiesta from time to time. Just was way too lacking on creature comforts and tech.
I don't think I'll EVER sell my FiST even if it lacks the creature comforts. I agree on the Motor Mounts. I replaced the RMM when I upgraded the Turbo. I'm actually planning to buy a GLA 45 AMG for creature comforts and keep the FiST as my FUN car!
@@georgevigil7001 No doubt! Out of all of the cars I've owned the Fiesta ST was by far the best performance to dollar value. If they had sold the Mk8's in the states I would probably had bought one. Seems like they stepped the game up with comfort with those.
Man, his build is fuggen legit!! Have to install my single port auxiliary fuel and hopefully the tuner I am messing with puts my Fiesta ST at 370 whp. 🤞 Has he ever run his FiST in the quarter mile?
I may misunderstand your question? But the rev limiter is the maximum RPM’s the engine can rev to, so it’ll stop once it hits that limiter. Also it’s not particularly great for the engine to rev it all the way up to the limiter very often, and especially if you hold the revs that high for more than a couple seconds!
@@MaxHPower I was just wondering why people bang up against the rev limiter. I don't get anywhere near that unless I miss a shift. Actually, I rarely go past 6000 rpm.
@@pctshooter too much power, the tyres just aren't hooking up, like Ashton said it barely hooks on 3rd gear. The wheels are spinning faster than the car is actually going so you can still gain speed while hitting the rev limiter. At your own risk if you want to feel something similar you can try turning off Traction Control if you have it and going full throttle from a stop on a rainy day.
It was for two reasons: One, weight savings on my front drive wheels for better rotational acceleration (less unsprung weight). And Two, for cosmetic appeal and fitment. I wanted a meatier look + couldn't fit a 225 tire without rubbing on a 17 inch wheel, so going to a 16 inch allowed me to fit the 225 tire on without any rubbing. But I can't go any wider. The car power wise is totally maxed out on 200 treadwear street tires, so some stickier tires are on the horizon.
I love the build i did the same with mine pulsar turbo modified the ebay bp header with a ewg custom 3 inch exhaust forged pistons and rods and sleeved block i was just tired of seeing the same things over and over
I'm putting down about 370whp on E50 and S280. Much simpler setup. 30+ Injectors and HPFP Catless exhaust. HKS SSQ Black Edition BOV sounds very aggressive with the Whoosh short ram intake. I Will probably go to a high flow cat since fumes get a bit annoying at lights plus less drone, it isn't horrible with the Thermal Resonated exh. I need to get a catch can too. Running about 29psi on E50 and 25psi on 93 which is what I run in winter. No traction in the cold and better gas mileage is why.
160hp and its turbo? Da fuq , my 08 civic si is 200hp stock, and has had no problems except a starter and cv axles at 208k mi, same clutch for 108k mi.
Having owned a fist with roughly same power. I too thought it was fast till I actually got a fast car. Save your money man, sell and get something better
Then what would you recommend as a cheaper and faster alternative? A stage 3 fiesta is now more affordable to attain than any civic si with 300hp. Used hondas became overpriced
I love this, everything he's done is functional
Thanks for watching! For sure, he did an amazing job with the build!!
The actually fast fiesta 🥲 absolutely wild setup. Awesome
What are you talking about, all Fiestas are fast! 🤣
I like how he wanted to be different than everyone else. Exactly how I think about builds too, great work
He achieved his goal for sure!
Yup. He did it his way, and it's impressive. Made a custom intercooler sprayer. Very cool.
Most underrated car UA-camr
Thanks so much! I appreciate you!!🙏🫡

Why did you sell it?!!!
