The privacy of one's computer content has always been important to me. Over the years, with the advancement of the computer and program applications, I have been slowly relearning the digital world. Thanks for the 6 points on one drive. 👍

I am hoping somebody hears this and both Microsoft and Google listen.

On OneDrive one cannot natively choose specific folders to backup and sync on PC other than Documents, Desktop and Pictures. Also, under OneDrive settings on Desktop there are two settings - “Manage backup” and “Choose Folders”. The latter is confusing and I am not sure exactly what it does.
Google Drive is better in most aspects but I have the following gripes: 1) On the PC under Windows Explorer when the Google Drive folder is clicked it just shows up the “My Drive” and “Other Computers” folder. It does not show which folders on that PC are being backed up and synced. For that one has to go to the Google Drive icon in system tray and open “Preferences”. Even there one cannot know the path of these folders unless you hover the mask over the folders appearing (under Google Drive>Preferences>My laptop). 2) Secondly if one un-syncs the PC folders on the PC, one cannot know from another device or the web under Google Drive>Computers whether these folders are in sync or whether sync has been stopped. For that, one has to go the respective PC and check under Google Drive icon in system tray under Preferences>My Laptop to confirm. This is because if sync is stopped on PC, the folders do not automatically get removed from Google Drive and there is nothing to indicate such details in Google Drive>Computers on another device or web.

Another great video. I've begun using OneDrive and I really like it. I learned about Versioning from your tutorial - it saved my bacon a couple of times already - an invaluable tool. A question - I've always used a PC running Microsoft, and up until a month or so ago I had an Android phone. I recently got a new iPhone, and I've never used one before. On my PC, many years' worth of my photos are saved to OneDrive, and I'd like to save my iPhone photos there too, but of course they are in iCloud. In researching this, I'm told that I need to download iCloud for Windows, and then I can sync my files from iCloud to One Drive. Is this correct, and will iCloud try to override One Drive, which I do not want to happen? I've seen a lot of instructions online, but I would like your advice, if possible, as I can't seem to get an answer to this question.

I watched this video when you released it. I had no clue about versioning. Today I messed up a few cells and needed to figure out the original entry. I remembered that you mentioned versioning in this video. I reviewed the video segment covering versioning and your instruction let me restore the most recent previous version and all was good. You saves my a**. Thanks for the help!! Im sure I will use versioning a lot!

Thank you, Richard. I'm so happy it worked. I save my files to OneDrive and only OneDrive. The only exception I make is sharing files to a Teams Channel. This files are saved in SharePoint, which has versioning also.
