Chris, what is the best way to save a backup of your One Drive to your local machine or external hard drives? Im in public safety and need to access files with no internet. Thanks
@@ChrisMenardTraining Thanks, which i don't understand why. It's been days on my new install. Maybe files don't download until asked? The same files show up on both old and new mac, so I suppose they are there and safe.
@Vicki no you cannot remove the icons as this is a key indicator on the health of your files and their connection in their cloud storage locations (your OneDrive), You CAN hide the status column in the File Explorer view by right clicking on the column row and unchecking "status" option.
Do you know how to reinstall the sync icons (Desktop, Documents, Pictures) for OneDrive on Windows? I deleted them by mistake. I have uninstalled OneDrive and reinstalled but they are still gone. ☹

This has been SO helpful. Im needing to free up space in my hard drive and i cant believe it is so easy to convert to cloud storage.

I'm on a mac. What's the grey cloud? This video just made more confusion. You need to define your platform.
I don't have a mac to test, but the gray icon means you're not signed in, or OneDrive setup hasn't been completed.
