Thoughts on the Chimera intake?
I got mineninstalled at it ran good at first, did a final long ride and the bike started smoking from the exhaust, i got a 80 dollar exhaust on my 2022, but after the intake its smoking at stop lights in just idle, i rev it and it blows out alot of smoke 💨 but its fine while riding.
@geovanni580ga woah wait a minute man. Wdym smoke? I'm fixing to do the exact same thing on my grom did you also get it tuned for it?
Noticing the washers are silver, on the yellow groms. The blue groms they are white. The washers on the fairings/plastics. Neat

Grom/type R twins. I just subscribed. I haven’t had my grom for long but I’m having fun with it. Make sure you go back to dhm for tune/flashing. I believe he’s still working on the 2022 stuff, but he did wonders for my 2020.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2022 Black Grom that I just installed an exhaust on and about to do the Chimera Intake and the Power commander as well. Also saw some of the signs in the background....WAR EAGLE!

How did it run after the mods
@@roberthelvick4939 Much better. It doesn’t just die in 5th gear anymore. I was hitting right at 60mph on straight roads now it getting up around 65-67.
@@k_dubz I have a tyga exhaust coming for mine and also the chimera intake.. is it necessary to get a programmer to power commander or will it run ok without one?
@@roberthelvick4939 I would suggest going with a power commander 5 or something similar. Without it you could run too rich or too lean and ruin your valves.
Do you find that the chimera runs well with the stock exhaust? Are you having any lean condition issues?
It seemed to run fine with stock exhaust but now I have exhaust, intake and a DHM tune.
@@TTorres1183 gotcha! Thanks for the reply! I’ve got the chimera intake, I’m waiting on an exhaust to get here. For some reason it’s taking FOREVER…😑😑😑 and I purchased an auto tuner for when the PCV for the 2022s comes out and I’m just itching to put the intake in now but don’t want to be impatient and do damage to the head. 🤷♂️ idk maybe I’m being paranoid.

IMHO the MNNTHBX Intake is way better!.....plus hidden behind the plastics it looks like a cleaner install!

You should have went with Man in the box it’s got a cleaner look intake! I’ve seen a review on it with that one and the man in the box wins hands-down
