This is extremely impressive, excellent driving skills by Reuben going up very slowly with just the small standard tires! This hill isn't easy to climb even if you try it with 35s or 37s and with lot of momentum. So biggest kudos to Reuben and the Grenadier! 😍
I see alot of comments here amazed at the tyre size. Guys, thats all we used 30 odd years ago. Its the 35s and the 37s that have destroyed most of the tracks you do realise? (Insert hate below)
Spot on mate I run 33s, yeah the bigger tyres look cool but they are what's tearing up the tracks plus the cops love defecting your 4wd if you have 35 or bigger even if your 4wd is engineered for bigger tyres and lift it becomes a cop magnet. Mine engineered for 5inch lift and 37s but I mostly run 33s and 3inch lift when cops have there blitz I just show them the paper work and often get asked why I don't have the bigger lift and tyres fitted, I just say don't need them on this trip and they just say your free to go without looking over the car a bit more. A few mates that go away with run the bigger tyres and lifts with engineering certs and the cops go over there car with a fine tooth combe and pin them for everything.
Problem is once you start the climb no one wants to call it quits. So rain hail you push the car. I tell you what though. I wasn’t smashing it using lots momentum like most. Great job
31" ? That's impressive. Would love to see one lifted with 34". Front lockers as standard? And the tank 300 also made it up using Chinese power. I agree with ASPW, its missing a cheap no thrills bareboned base model. toys for big boys rather than a workman's vehicle like the original landy
Early adopters always end up paying "top dollar" for things. Once Ineos have recouped some of their initial investment you can bet they will bring out a more budget version. A bit like how after Land Rover had sold enough Range Rover Classics to pay off the costs of R&D and setting up production lines, they were able to bring out the Discovery which used the same basic components, but sold at a lower price.
What sucks is they made it like the Land Rover in it's hard to fit bigger tires compared to a Jeep Wrangler or a full-size Bronco with factory 35s haha
This is standard with this generation, the children run amok, the parents don’t care who they annoy or bother, everyone is just expected to put up with the loud mouthed little snots. Fair enough this is hardly a tranquil camp but my point is it happens there too.
If the ineos came with 31inch tyres from the factory. He won't be able to fit tyres bigger 33s legally right? I mean that's a little too small for ineos. 35s would be the right size. In the States though if it made it we'll soon see 37s on ineos.
This is obviously why Ineos only ever showed the Grenadier driving over terrain a Hyundai Excel could traverse without any problems. This is with larger than stock tyres too isn't it?
I think you are thinking of the N57 engine. The IG does not use this engine, rather the B57 and B58 which are considered some of the best engines BMW has produced.

Agree. I also feel like 33s are probably the right fit for the grenadier - 285/70r17 seems to be a well liked size.
And with Nerf bars! Very gutsy! And with literally no momentum!
Well done to the driver happy to send his brand new Grenadier! Good to see how it performs in real world scenarios.
Awesome!! Finally a real Aussie test for the Grenadier!
Now put another 500kg in the car and it won't get anywhere.

the driver knows how to use it, very smooth.
The kids commentary in the background is hilarious
Now I want to see a g wagon g 63 do it
picks up stock suv from dealership and hits beer o'clock. im sold now lets see it lifted on 35s
I reckon if he did it again with all diff locks engaged and his skill he would nail it

Did he have any diffs on at all?
Nice work at the end he says but that is actually very tuff going

To me it seems the Grenadier has too small wheels stock and too little ground clearance.
@@navithefairy I agree I think it should have come standard with 33" , guess we can rejoice as it didn't come with 29" with 40 profile tyres

The children’s commentary in the background sounds like something out of a Pink Floyd album.

Would like to see a g wagon do this
I hate to say it but the tank 300 made it up there with less trouble at a third of the price
Tank was not stock standard.

cant believe some people thought this guy had skills. luck and $120,000 of equipment was all it took.
New is 133K :))
He made the commentary eat their words…
Pure driver skills. However, wheel spin contributes to track deterioration.

This is a completely standard Ineos literally drive from the show room to hit Beer o’clock Hill.
Nothing whatsoever to do with tyre diameter
Glad I cancelled my Grenadier order. BMW drive train had me worried with the cam chain issues in both Errol and diesels

😂😂😂… you don’t know what you’re talking…
The B58 is an amazing engine.
Education is essential before commenting
Rubbish driver that’s all , nothing wrong with that impressive truck .
No, not impressive at all
Calm down😂
