I had to work on child's birthday after having a party planned
if u got an email I can forward pictures of inside Jennifer Sotos house. I wrote Jennifer a letter she will probably receive it tomorrow don't know if she will reply.

12th birthday, evidence of SA, 13th birthday no doubt more SA and this time murder. Where was Jen last year when this was happening? Lets just say for the sake of argument she was wilfully ignorant and convinced herself nothing was going on. Why, when her daughter has gone missing was alarm bells not going off everywhere when he told her what she should say? She knew and covered for him, that makes her complicit.

Stephan was already through her stuff away half an hour prior and she was seen dead in the car at 819am. Mom is either involved or is choosing her boyfriend over her daughter. Mom is a POS either way
Stephen was at her birthday party? Ew. Not only her Mother failed her but her father failed her as well. If he would have been an involved parent and co-parented Madeline then a predator wouldn't have gotten close. The father is as much to blame as Madeline's mother. He should have watched Madeline during summer breaks so she wouldn't be left with a predator. He abandoned Madeline for a new family.
I’m not understanding how this woman isn’t locked up too if they found all this evidence of her child being horribly abused by this sicko while in her care since she was a lil girl what mother wouldn’t suspect or know something isn’t right either her child unless she just turned a blind eye because she didn’t give a damn this is one of the worse cases I’ve ever heard of.

My thoughts are that Madeline had been sexually abused by Stephen for as long as he was in that family...and Madeline reached an age where she had the courage to tell Stephen she was going to report him to authorities if he didn't STOP....so he killed her. I believe she had told her mother about the abuse and her mother DID NOTHING...but her mother KNEW exactly what was going on.
This is exactly what I think... or that she got pregnant and he had to get rid of her. Either way the mom knew. This poor girl. I have kids and cannot fathom this happening in our home without me knowing

Perhaps why they are not releasing any information as they’re waiting for any/all autopsy and toxicology results. Plus, they’re not going to divulge information until they have completed the interviewing of those that had been at the birthday party.
I also believe she went to her mother when it first happened and she did nothing so what was she to do when the person that is supposed to protect you doesn't. Many children have mothers that don't care.

It's heartbreaking to hear about Maddie's struggles and the lack of protection she faced. It's a valid question why more wasn't done to ensure her safety. Hopefully, lessons can be learned from this tragedy to prevent similar situations in the future. 🙏

One of the most revolting scenes was when news people were interviewing them, afterward Jen was caressing and holding him, rubbing his neck and shoulders! My thought at the time was why is she comforting him!! Shouldn’t it be her being comforted? It was then I was convinced she knew!

He told her that story and why she said we and then changed it to him dropping her off. She surely was not alive early bc he had to put her in the car in the dark. He left to drop off the school stuff. I wonder if Jenn took any meds and out of it. And, wonder if he gave Maddy drugs too. Was she pregnant. He liked little girls and she was older now. Did Jenn have suspicions about him and the grandmother too. Everyone, once again, fails a child. If you see or hear something ....please say something. Be a hero.

Exactly. I have a child. I "hug or kiss" him goodnight. I call it "putting my baby to bed". He is 14, 6'2 and in high school. Moms kiss and hug their baby; no matter the age, maturity or size.

There is something deeply disturbing and attached to that app the creep was on at midnight, the night of her birthday party. I mentioned this on another site, but was this creep into snuff films ? What else was he into? Did he kill Madeline in the early morning hours after abusing her again because she protested? The mother knows MORE. The pictures of her on the lawn in the blue dress are heartbreaking. She had an abusive childhood that ended after a birthday PARTY. It's so tragic.
All signs of sexual abuse, she’s too mature, her body is too developed, mannerism, she increased weight dramatically within 1-2 years between 11-13, bags, circles, she looks stressed and tired at 13.
When she wears glasses she looks like an adult. You can definitely see the progression of the stress in her photos. RIP Maddie 💜

I’m 37 years old and my parents and I still talk like this! It’s called unconditional love. I’m sorry if you’ve missed that part of parenting, but to me, it has been essential in how I now currently raise my children. Always show your children love. And it seems to me, like this poor girl was left completely alone.

According to the Grandmother's interview he was not supposed to be there. She said he was not living with then anymore and didn't know why he showed up. My question is, why did the grandmother let him stay?

The funeral was a few days after the murder.
Medical report is taking longer than usual, Osceola county shares a M.E with Orange County (Orlando) so the turn around time is 3-4 weeks which sucks.
Apparently he mother never bothered going to the funeral and chose to have her burnt to ashes

We didn't know Maddie in life,but we are all here to honor and protect her and ensure she gets justice.

This is one of the sickest & saddest cases of abuse & murder of a child that I’ve ever heard, no one seemed to care to heed any sighns or anything they all dropped the ball on that I can only pray the legal system doesn’t do the same give this child justice so her young soul can at least rest in peace.
Reminds me of the chyenne kircher case. Apparently the stepdad ended her bc she was alluding to telling ppl it was falling “in love” . Both girls were groomed for YEARS. And those monsters probably thought the only way to end it, was to end it

Thanks to everyone reporting on this. It makes me feel safer that the whole country is helping in these cases. It’s a way to fight back and also to show the judicial system to not back down and let these people get away with evil.

If the mother had to work that night, why didn't they celebrate Madeline's birthday on a day when the mother could attend? It's possible that the mother could have been mad or upset about something or maybe the mother and daughter weren't getting along for some reason on the day of the birthday party. The mother didn't seem like a straight shooter during her interview.

Grandma also said in her interview that Madeline was scared of the dark and didn't like sleeping alone that's why they didn't think she would run away
And yet at 13 Madeline allegedly said she wanted to go live in the woods. Anxious child, scared of the dark, that doesn't make any sense.

I've had to work my kid's birthdays, but never their 13ths. That's a huge milestone. No doubt in my mind that Jennifer knew what was going on. Abuse that severe; there had to be red flags every single day.

She worked the night shift at Disney in the Travel Reservations Calls Dept. The Thursday before was her real birthday and they had a small family party at home. Sunday’s party was hosted by the grandmother at her house.
Madeline looking like her mother doesn't have anything to do with the abuse she suffered. Sterns commented in his Reddit account that dating in his 30's was a nightmare because older women have bad skin or something like that. He targeted Madeline's mother because she had a child, he was always after a "stepdaughter". Another thing, maybe the wife of the guy here doesn't miss birthdays because her job schedule is more flexible. Most bad paying jobs have 0 flexibility.

I have seven children and I have had to work on birthdays, but never the big milestone ones. 13 is a huge birthday. I can't imagine missing that one. I'm not buying her crap. She lied that whole interview. I think she knew everything. I wouldn't be surprised if we found out Jennifer killed Maddie to keep her from talking because her mother knew so much.

When did that party end and why was Sterns even there? He wasn't Madeline's dad, or a relative, just an on off boyfriend of the Mother. What is he doing going to a young girl's birthday when him and the mother weren't together? He was definitely there. The Grandmother is dodgy too. First she said Jen had a late night, was tired and he was going to take Madeline to school. Then she said they had split up and she didn't know why he was there. Why didn't Madeline not just stay over at her house after the party? Her business was close to the school and the party was at her home. It makes no sense. She knows more than she's saying.
Grandma definitely seems smarter than the mom. I think she noticed things.
How did sterns even know the party was on and who invited him ? Exactly why was he even there . I think Maddie was supposed to be staying the night at Yolanda’s she had her back pack and lap top with her but he rocked up and later on offered to take her home can’t understand why Yolanda let her go with Sterns I also think that Jen and her mother don’t get on and it’s why Jen didn’t get the day off she didn’t want to be there, also the lack of communication between Yolanda and Jen why didn’t she contact her to let her know that she wasn’t staying the night with her anymore that Sterns took her home ? So many unanswered questions

Not saying that is what happened but the grandmother lied, not something your would get mixed up and sadly things like that do happen so how can it be ruled out?

Followed by the overwhelming feelings she must have experienced, at the very thought of the insurmountable task she was faced with in her determination to gain back control of her bodily autonomy that's been stolen from her without her permission for as long as she can possibly remember.

I agree with you completely! The first time I saw her birthday picture I said, that’s too provocative for a 13 year old. Heartbreaking! Poor sweet child, she was living in hell.

The interview with Madeline's mother disturbed me from the beginning. I've seen many videos of parents whose children had gone missing, but none of them reacted the way this woman did. It was odd to say the least. I also have to say that it seemed rehearsed and that perhaps Stephan had told her what to say. Maybe that's why she was always looking upward like she was trying to remember what he told her to say.
If the daughter had issues “sleeping alone”, then those issues-if true-should have been addressed from a professional level. Plus, those issue should have been addressed years ago. The solution to her issues wasn’t to have random boyfriends sleeping with her at night. That’s borderline criminal negligence, IMO.

I too believe he actually did have a flat tire bc that small tire would've attracted road patrol - that's why he dumped her body pronto over the road . Who else would dump her in that spot right next to a gate that would be opened probably daily by the owners who would smell her decaying body .
Everyone is making several assumptions:
(1) That Stephan was the killer. I think we need to keep an open mind and consider that Jen could have been the killer, accidentally or intentionally.
(2) That Stephan killed Maddie at her own home. It is possible she never made it home after the birthday party, which is why she is seen in the car at 8:19 am with Stephan heading back to the home.
That second part has been my theory too. He had is way with her in the car somewhere. She may have fought back and threatened to tell someone. He panicked, killed her. Had to come up with a plan. I don't think she made it home alive. The police never mentioned anything about seeing her walk out of the house that morning only seeing him return with her dead in the car. And when a reporter asked where she was killed, he just gave a vague answer and said, in Kissimmee.
Camera showed her deceased body in his car with him driving!!!
The mom has an alibi. She was at work.

In order for them to produce a Probable Cause Affidavit, they work tirelessly making 100% sure that they gather iron clad evidence that will absolutely have a water tight case and conviction. It is a very tedious job because they have only one chance to give the jury enough evidence to convict the person.

My theory - the abuse was escalating. He had access to maddie overnight and took advantage of it. Choked her during the abuse and killed her on accident
