Nice Video Jimmy, Nice size fluk too. Jim what is the model number of your 7' st. croix inshore rod. It looks like a good rod. I want to get the same one. Thanks brother!
Thanks for the comment!👍 The St Croix I'm using is the MIS70MHF. It's been working great for me so far this season, definitely a good buy. Tight lines out there!
nice outing day! would you be able to share the location if its isn't too private, i live in long island also but only location i know is captree. i want to try some different lotation too.
That’s one thing I hate and the reason I won’t subscribe There’s enough fish for everybody it’s not like he’ll give his location and 500 people will show up the next day 🙄🙄
Another great video dude! Question, how is Indian Island State Park for Porgy fishing? Just curious because that's the Peconic river waters. People fish there a lot, but they never leave report. Thanks and tight lines!
I've never personally fished there yet so i can't say how good it is from my own experience but I'm sure it's a sweet spot. The peconic bay has been loaded with porgy. Thanks for dropping in again, and always appreciate the comments👍
@@jamesschlickoutdoors like....ferry to fire island? Or smith point fire island? lol I drive onto the beach every weekend and go fishing. been fairly dry for me besides a few schoolies
@@BrianTemme i do fish both ends of F.I. but prob more the western side. It's been slow for me also down there, as we get closer to fall things should start picking up👍
@@jamesschlickoutdoors So when in the best time? July? Thank you I appreciate it. It's far so I don't want to waste a trip if I can maximize my chances.
I just keep them soaking in the liquid that comes in the bag when you buy them. I will reuse my gulps as long as they aren't torn up. Just throw them back in the bag to marinate👌
if you plan on releasing don't pick it up by the hook or by the jaw. imagine someone took your body to somewhere that was 10x gravity and picked you up by the jaw.
Jhoelvis Cruz well... us fishermen can’t disclose spots. It’s not to discourage fishing! It’s to encourage everyone to hop spots and get their own sweet spots. Tight lines always!!! I just search google maps and check out water and beach structure, and I plan a trip. 😊
Lol i thought that's what you meant. Sea robins are these bottom feeder fish we get up here in the northeast. They are kinda pest fish because there's so many of them and they always snatch up the bait when fishing for flounder lol
Great content on the videos brother! Keep the vids coming. I like to fish by orient point sometimes.
Every vid bro. Sea Robin. Sea Robin.
Thanks John
Them sea robins is actually really good
Can you tell me what kind of camera you are using this is some great video brand and item #if possible like to get one thank you

You can always go directly north of captree and try sunken meadow. I've got multiple fluke from shore there, porgy too.
@@jamesschlickoutdoors sunken seemed little too sea weedy but will try there thnx
James give me exactly spot on you this video! I want try next month!
Never happen. Notice you don't see any LANDmarks. None of these youtubers will share their locations. All product placement.
@@davehartenstein6602 Why would they share their location?? That would be so dumb.

What time of year is good for flounder in that area? Is early june too early?
It's hit or miss right now, some guys are already catching but you gotta pick through dozens of sea robins to get them lol

Yeah mid summer i usually do really well up there

Doesn’t matter what color it is the swimming mullet is over powered I caught so many flounders on them

Yes you can fish on LI. You just need to get a free saltwater license(marine registry) online
