I agree with you. My mom use to only use grease on her hair. But, after being converted, lol, she starter using aloe juice, a leave in and castor oil and she has seen a huge difference in the texture, softness and health of her hair.

I’ve started using s curl activator and it’s a humectant and I wish I would of known about this a long time ago, idc if it’s Jerry curl juice . My hair has never been this consistently moist.

That’s what I’ve been doing for my son’s dry hair. We went back to S-curl activator and I see why ppl who had curls hair was so long and super hydrated

I did this rehydrate/ moisture routine a few days ago and wow! My hair feels soft and fluffy. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Quick questions- what are your thoughts on water only washing aka sebum conditioning? If you already addressed this, would you be able to refer me to the video? Thanks again!

Wow I’ve been using aloe juice and distilled water as 1st step in moisturizing. I will move the aloe juice to the last step.

*new subbie* Excellent my dear! I wash my hair very often so it holds moisture just from a habit of doing so. I’m getting more hang time too 😍Definitely helpful!

Which leave in conditioner would you recommend

What alternative low ph solution can you recommend? I heard about diluted apple cider vinegar but I don’t know how I feel about that. I also have low porosity hair so it might not be necessary I guess.

Do you add water to aloe in the last step or you use aloe by itself

When I was a girl I would wash my hair a lot. Like almost every 3 days. I remember my hair was always really thick. But my ends were rough and my hair always stopped at my shoulders. It didn’t get shorter or longer for a while. If I had of known to trim and protect my ends at that time then by now my hair pulls not only be past my thighs but that same thickness that I had then. Recently I have gone back to washing my hair more to test my theory.
