@@xLionsxxSmithyx hahahaha 🤣 i wouldn't doubt there are some 4 year olds on this site, in this age of technology. luckily I'm 34, but still! playing games with my daddy was so much fun back when i was a toddler. i couldn't even hold a snes controller with my tiny hands!

The Warriors of the Jar and Fia's Companions have to be one of my favourite features. I just summoned the 3rd Warrior, on my PS5 playthrough and it ended up being MY character, from my PS4 playthrough. I was soundly defeated, in shock and I have never been more proud or accepting of a death in a game, like this.
Here’s a neat little fact about fia’s champions They’re all player made builds When fia gives you a hug, your build is uploaded to a pool of champions she summons for that challenge
The masoleums are asleep a certain time of the night (right before sunrise), and during this window the curse marks can be hit and broken without waking them
@@jacobfreeman5444 not sure, heard of this fact via another video and they only showed the ones in Liurnia, but I would assume that even the bombarding one would sleep
I noticed this while waiting to be summoned for co-op in the weeping peninsula. I liked standing at the sight of grace near the bottom of the southern cliff that overlooks the area the mausoleum walks around. I came back from helping someone with a boss and there it was, sleeping away!
Small note, I think great jar warriors with no weapon might be more common than you think. A long well known method of besting this challenge is to start the fight, and bait the npcs off the cliff while standing on the nearby branch, and therefore has no reason to actually have a weapon equipped, and is better off minmaxing on the equippable shield at the time!
The branch method is significantly riskier than the cliff on the other side of the arena. That one lets the NPCs just run right over your head 99% of the time.
@@amberhernandez I agree but the branch method has been widely known since patch 1.0 and that method is much newer, it's likely more of the player base still uses the branch
love the dead angling highlight bit. you can use the omnidirectional unlocked swing to track by locking on toward the end of the charge animation. so if you strong hit away from someone but lock on right before it swings, you'll turn to hit
One thing I've personally discovered regarding the great jar knights, is that if I save-quit it makes the red summons the exact same every time, and I think they might be the default summons because in every playthrough where I've done this, it's always been the exact same summons in the exact same signs. I would say it's helpful for getting the great jar's arsenal super early, but the mage is really aggressive with their magic glintblade usage, and their carian phalanx can potentially one shot. The guy with the rapier has a buckler, and will parry you, and WILL one-shot you. I'm on Xbox, so I don't know if this assumed oversight is on other platforms. Edit: Thanks to DWN-024 Shadow Man for clarifying that they are the offline summons. I'm curious as to why I encounter them on a save-quit since I always play online, maybe it fails to roll them upon loading the area if you don't rest at a grace or die, though there's no way to be sure. I guess in that case it would just roll the offline reds by default, though I'm still curious to know what's breaking behind the scenes to cause them to fail to roll the summons in the first place.
Those are the offline adversaries the great jar gives u to fight, i know because im always playing offline but I might try this online to fight other players builds lol. If i get too many blood builds i will go back offline because I cannot stand that.

I feel bad for the person who had to fight my character as the Great Jar's warrior. I had a strong madness, faith/ dex build, 60 vigor, heavy armor with Vyke's Warspear +10 / Brass shield. And my off hands had Bloodhounds step, and Reduvia +10 I'm sure they had a blast 🤘
Only non boss enemy I truly can't stand are the runebears... Always a pain in the ass to fight. I don't mind the lobsters but that weakness is good to know.
Royal revenants are a far bigger menace than the gorilla bears, even with their weakness to healing magic. The bottom of the haligtree is the worst area in the game solely because of them.
@@cnut7383 Runebears are extremely annoying because they never stop attacking, their attacks have large hitboxes and every time you try get behind them they turn around at lightning speeds and rush into you EVERY SINGLE TIME
For lore reasons, I think the map frags should never have been edited. You're scrawling them down by copying or shadowing from old stone tablets, it stands to reason that we see a different layout since our Tarnished is on a journey far in the future from when, say, the Roundtable Hold was in an actively used fort. The Grace is having us move in and out of different timelines and dimensions, it makes sense that maps are inaccurate
So there is a very fun interaction with one of the fire spells called Fire's Deadly Sin. If you cast Fire's Deadly Sin, and then you use Black Flame Blade, Bloodflame Blade, or the poison mist weapon art, Fire's Deadly Sin gains the properties of those spells/ash of war. So with Bloodflame blade, you can proc bleeding simply by being near the enemy player. Combo this with the Lightning Ram Ash of Way to catch up to players, and become a nightmarish rolling fireball that stunlocks your opponent with Lightning Ram, dealing constant damage with a Fire's Deadly Sin that's building bleed proc. New favorite stupid PvP build.
I wanna point out that the tailoring system has 3 slots for each piece of armor but only one currently has an option in it. To me this implies more options were intended but either cut or just not completed.
The 3 jar knights are fun because out of the 3, there were 4 rivers of blood equipped when I fought them. That's right. One was duel wielding rivers of blood.
I think it would be cool if there was a way to upgrade armor in a way that you can customize it to be gold or black. Maybe if you get a type of limited loot and use it in a quest to be able to change the type of metal it’s made out of.
Storm wall definitely needs a buff where the projectile is sent straight back to the person that fired/threw it, and let it deal damage. Similarly for Thop's barrier for spells. Currently they're just so sad, and makes you wonder why you'd ever use them over Carian retaliation of golden parry.
My strategy for the giant crayfish is to get on Torrent and run up against their left side just behind their legs, you'll get stuck there and be pushed along when they try to turn to face you so you can freely attack them while they can't attack you. Only their jumps are any danger but they hardly ever seem to do them when they're trying to turn towards you
The outfit alteration needs Malenias hair to be removeable and have your own hair hang out the back as an option. While looking cool originally, why cant we remove Malenias scalped hair off the helmet?
I personally liked when the Map and the World didn't match up. As you're finding existing maps of the regions, which might have been drawn before some of the changes have happened, like the collapsed road to Jarsburg.
I haven't played a souls like game in months I've just been bored Im normally a heavy pvper but Ive been going to the gym and I don't have time to play I love watching these videos to get a hit of nostalgia
The Jar Village path, I thought it was lore thing. We had an older map. The Jar had been getting hunted so as a protection, they destroyed the path to their village where the children could grow up safe.
8:06 confirmed they’re crayfish. Lobsters are predominantly saltwater dwelling and have differently shaped claws, more rounded and thickened pincers compared to the crayfishes narrower and longer pincers.
I knew the great jar was from other players because when I finally completed it one of the fights was vs a person who had 1 spell (Set themself on fire) and one shield (Tree sentinel shield). There used to be a glitch where you could spam the tree sentinel ash of war when on fire but the ai wasnt smart enough to realise that. But I thank that person for the free win anyway :)
While I was doing a frenzy run I only used the inescapable frenzy incantation while fighter the great jar champions so I put a build with only inescapable frenzy in the pool
I kinda liked the errors on the map, it felt like it added a more naturalistic element to the world, like the maps were just out of date due to recent upheavels or damage to the terrain or just general mistakes. It is a hand-drawn map after all.
So when I and my friend used the deathbed dress pre patched in the 2nd run throughout most of the game, we basically played with handicaps? What. The. F*ck.
I think it would be great to be able to add or remove long waist cloths to go with certain armor types, if not all of them. This being said, I just love layered black plate armor that has long black cloth to go with it all. Cape and waist cloth that goes down to the ankles or shins as the cape goes half way down the back.
Fun fact; the spell infinite darkness will reveal, or rather, dispell, illusory walls. I think it may or may not even work on the mimics veil. I'd have to test it
I think that you and your “you didnt know” videos were my first encounter with youtube comments about DarkSouls, and here we are all those years later, wild right?
I noticed the great jar fights were players when I died a few times on my RL1 playthrough. Seeing a different set of 3 each time with every set having either RoB, Moonveil or both, and usually BHS too felt just like invading lol. I just went offline and killed the normal npcs, much easier.
I heard somewhere that the uploaded jar knights are indeed player builds but that the game actually uploads them when you get embraced by the snug hug bug Fia.
A transmog system would be awesome. Being able to wear your favorite armor but keep stats from another....please! Oh and a random generator where it randomizes item placement in the game. Would love that to make it fresh
Th cases of the Great Jar champions appearing with useless builds incapable of dealing damage is possible due to a number of cheese strats you can do that result in the champions falling off the nearby cliffs to their deaths.
about the walking mausoleum, one time, i jumped on the top of one which has his weakness in front of the door and not his legs and didn't know how to go down. My friend was choqued cause he didn't know that we could do it, he ever go at the middle
The great jar warriors used to have a default selection of invaders with endgame gear when the game launched. Now seeing useless character builds imported into the pool is pretty funny considering the originals were too difficult and Rejected off the cliff anyway.

@@hewhoshallnotbenamed5168 they are worse than rune bears yeah but for some reason i just hate the rune bears so much more
@@cnut7383 Runebears are extremely annoying because they never stop attacking, their attacks have large hitboxes and every time you try get behind them they turn around at lightning speeds and rush into you EVERY SINGLE TIME
Broooooooo the great jar summon with the jar on his head was me!?!?!?
For lore reasons, I think the map frags should never have been edited.
You're scrawling them down by copying or shadowing from old stone tablets, it stands to reason that we see a different layout since our Tarnished is on a journey far in the future from when, say, the Roundtable Hold was in an actively used fort. The Grace is having us move in and out of different timelines and dimensions, it makes sense that maps are inaccurate
With the Aristocrats shoes first time I saw that was watching Bushys Elden Ring challenges, he wears them a lot.
Could this be nightmare fuel?
I wanna point out that the tailoring system has 3 slots for each piece of armor but only one currently has an option in it. To me this implies more options were intended but either cut or just not completed.
There a new Wormface in Mt. gelmir right before you fight the Ulcerated Tree Spirit. It drops a larval tear for some reason. It wasn't there at launch
I think I've seen that one. I was like, "Was that always there?".
For the mausoleums, Mohg spear ash of war, and Radahn ash of war also can do the trick with their aoe attacks
The ability to change the armor colors would add so much variety to this game it would be insane;
That north east part near the frenzied village I just was trying to bring my friends there and forgot you can’t go from that way.
Storm wall definitely needs a buff where the projectile is sent straight back to the person that fired/threw it, and let it deal damage. Similarly for Thop's barrier for spells. Currently they're just so sad, and makes you wonder why you'd ever use them over Carian retaliation of golden parry.
I think it should be a chance too or it would be a bit much even for Elden Ring.
thanks for the info, I got the purple cape once and had no idea how it happened
Popping the mannequin balloons gives you runes.
Most may know this already but I found out 3 days ago so there may be a chance others have missed it
And they're good runes for the time you get there too
9:26 duuude you did me dirty there
Screw that purple cape, I had the glitch happen with the Carian Knight set where it's blue bits turned black. It looked so good. I miss it :(
Project Orochi is pretty expensive for being so unknown, yet I really like their designs and bought the Warden hoodie a couple years ago :)
My strategy for the giant crayfish is to get on Torrent and run up against their left side just behind their legs, you'll get stuck there and be pushed along when they try to turn to face you so you can freely attack them while they can't attack you.
Only their jumps are any danger but they hardly ever seem to do them when they're trying to turn towards you
love it your content...
The outfit alteration needs Malenias hair to be removeable and have your own hair hang out the back as an option. While looking cool originally, why cant we remove Malenias scalped hair off the helmet?
I loves the dress bug. Made me think enemies were just going "is that a dress I smell..." dumb little giggles lol
Fextralife being wrong about something? Big shock
6:25 took me a while to realize you have to walk all the war from atlas stairs down into the frenzied flame village
Okay but a hoodie with the opening shot of Irithyll from DS3, right after Wulnir, would be *amazing*
To say the map is misleading in some places might not be true in all cases as it actually be tied to older visions for the game
I like how the most notoriously devious character in souls games' name is "Patches"
9:33 you can also tell they're real when all 3 of them are wearing radahn's armor and using moonveil
I've been rewatching all your videos as of lately so it's nice seeing something new.
I wonder if the shackles would work on the walking masueoleums the same way they work on illusory walls/floors
Omg i remember doing the great jar and i kept getting a guy with rivers of blood and moonveil and pre nerf sword of night and flame
I will always cherish any videos this man posts he made my childhood 10 times better
Wow, thank you 😁
Maybe the early detection of enemies when you wear the Deathbed set is Fromsoft saying: Drip comes at a price.
What. The. F*ck.
Well, congrats I guess :'D
Well I wore it in my first playthrough and was rock sure, you couldn't sneak upon the shown crucible knight...
Torrent trivialises the lobsters as well.
8:50 that's really cool I never knew that!
2:06
Was that Oroboro by any chance?
Little Easter Egg hidden in here @SunlightBlade?
Im cursed with this shit
I noticed the great jar fights were players when I died a few times on my RL1 playthrough. Seeing a different set of 3 each time with every set having either RoB, Moonveil or both, and usually BHS too felt just like invading lol. I just went offline and killed the normal npcs, much easier.
I saw that updated the map for jar burg and was like 'Damn finally!"
I heard somewhere that the uploaded jar knights are indeed player builds but that the game actually uploads them when you get embraced by the snug hug bug Fia.
RIP Lyndell shortcut I really loved walking through that area backwards
Another post from Sunlight Blade to make my day better!
Manual attack aim works for any asset that was reused from dark souls 3
Pickle ahead but didn't expect small.
A transmog system would be awesome. Being able to wear your favorite armor but keep stats from another....please! Oh and a random generator where it randomizes item placement in the game. Would love that to make it fresh
7:56 this also works on crabs
2:47
I honestly hope we can change the color of armors and put different capes on armor
Th cases of the Great Jar champions appearing with useless builds incapable of dealing damage is possible due to a number of cheese strats you can do that result in the champions falling off the nearby cliffs to their deaths.
hope they makes the alteration so you can choose what faction's you can make on a knight armor I spent so long trying to get all of them
3:17 just to clarify here, that's the penetrator from Demon's Souls, great video btw, I really hope they add more options for the armor sets
The usual messages i saw just before the Great jar Knights summons. "Blood loss ahead, therefore beware of pathetic sort."
about the walking mausoleum, one time, i jumped on the top of one which has his weakness in front of the door and not his legs and didn't know how to go down.
It'd be accurate to say the giant "lobsters" are specifically prawns, since boggart sells the meat, although I think they more resemble lobsters lol
Stormwall can deflect the explosive barrels that the storm hawks throw at you
"10 things I collected from other UA-camrs then regurgitated here"
06:59 LOL where is this secret I haven't found it!!!???????????
Also One More thing you forgot to mention in your video: You can one shot the Fire Monk Chariots (tanks or whatever they are called) by jump attacking them from higher ground! (Normal attack, not heavy attack). You stick your weapon into the exhaust port and they explode!
I remember sweating when fighting the knights of the great jar with nothing but my Royal Remnants armor (no helm because there was a lot of effort put on her face) and a curved greatsword
if you ever see someone like that its probably gonna be a easy fight
They're neither, they are Prawns. It's in the shacks name "Boilprawn Shack"
when he smacked the dragonfly after killing the lobster....idk why but that was hilarious
