@@TRICKEDTINS Same here, kind of boat I'm looking for. Different floor layout. I'm sure the customer will be very happy. One piece contoured floor and side panels came out really clean.
Love it! That’s the perfect boat for running around the Texas marsh and bays. I’ll bet that hole was there for a possible right side console. Great work as always. 👍🏻👍🏻
My dad just gave me his boat just like this one except its 20'X8' with a 115 Yamaha on the back. I was so curious about the flooring because he has plywood that needs to be changed out. But after watching this I guess I'll be going back with plywood. Lol amazing job my dude. U killed it.
I really like that I have a boat very similar to this, I have a 1660 alumaweld tunnel hull with a 115/80 mercury jet, I would love to have this done to mine.
Wow!!! That's a bad ass boat. I would love to have a dual purpose bass/bay boat like that. Would love to see it fully tricked out. Dam bro your killing these videos! 🔥🔥🔥
couple questions//first,how is he gonna utilize the black tube to run his wires thru with the side panel closing off the access?also, the side battery compartments??so you gotta drill out the rivets every time you need to access the batteries?..like others have said..nice work!American craftsmanship
The side panels are installed with screws. They will obviously have to be removed to run wires. The front compartment is wide open. You can access the batteries from the hatch. I just left them off until he gets wires all ran for easier install
I like it but would want center console closer to rear bench to sit when tired of standing and make that rear hatch more of a run-off style to remove any splash-over from sudden stops or big fish pulls.other than that bravo!!those hatch corners is that something that can be bought and cut fit n weld or something you make in house.also what welder do you suggest, yeah i know its an ac welder but what brand?snooky pa.
He has a cooler with a cushion top that mounts in that bracket right in front of the back bench. I sell the hatch section. $5.50 per foot. TrickedTinsJonboats.com
I have dozens of Welders. I'm a Miller guy. I use a Dynasty 210 and a Diversion 180 at home, but technology is crazy. All the newer machines are similar.
Great work. The only thing I might have done different is mount the sides under the top channel so water cannot penatrate the side walls. Again great work.
Awesome build! I want to cut a tunnel in my 1860 for a prop outboard. Is there a formula for determining the tunnel size or just trial and error? Any help is very much appreciated!
@@TRICKEDTINS I’ve been searching for a bit now and haven’t found anything about size of tunnels and companies that build tunnel hulls pretty much laugh when I ask them like it’s a big secret they’re hiding
Id love to build this boat to ots full potential, but i just dont have time! Things kind of blew up quick! Im trying to pick and choose the best builds for next year.
That's an excellent question. Welding causes warping. Especially with thin metals. If you look close at the outside of any welded boat, you can see where each floor/side rib is located based off the slight warp from the weld in the hull. I weld the framework and rivet the decking and hatches in. Those things aren't structural. They just need to be attached. The side panels aren't welded in case they need to be removed to run wires, fix wires, etc. I build from experience of what I've seen/learned in 20yrs. Most of my customers come back in a year and want to add more deck space or change the layout. I can literally disassemble this entire boat (minus the framework) in less than an hour. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!
Sure lets use a slick smooth aluminum floor in a wet boat......anyone with a IQ higher then a pine cone would have used aluminum diamond plate for a floor for grip and safety.
SMDH, the floors are made out of smooth aluminum because they get covered with turf! It needs a smooth surface to make sure it adheres correctly. Go watch some of my other videos, and you will see what the boats look like once they get the seadek installed. Iq of a pinecone? That's some hilbilly shit right there, lol.
Dude literally THE style boat I want. I am so stoked to watch it come to life.
Its a sweet setup

Exactly what I was thinking
Bad ass boat! Looking forward to this build!
I know this was not as complex as your other builds but I loved this one. Practical and clean.
Nice work. You obviously have a passion for your craft.
Thanks brotha
Never seen the plasma table dance looks nice ! Boats alright too
Nice UPGRADE!!!! Great work!!! Be Safe
Looks great man. I like the combination of welding and rivets to help with flex.
Thanks brotha
You make everything look easy! amazing work
Thank you sir!

Thats exactly what it was for.
Amazing finish and a very nice handcrafted storage compartment! Great work dude!
Thanks brotha!
This is an awesome build. I really want to see you build a catfish boat. Hopefully somebody hires you to do one soon
Dude you do crazy good work and you explain why certain things should be done.Keep up the professional work.
Thanks brotha!

Thank you! I hope so. 🙏 Im confident in my work, but its slower than i expected with the youtube videos? 🤷♂️
Why no flat sheet foam panels between the ribs. Helps with noise plus floation
Customer didn't want it

Thanks. As far as the tunnel goes im not sure on dimensions. Id have to research it.

You do some great work. Where are you located
Norfolk VA
Nice job, looks great. But won't that get hot in the summer.
It was painted right after this video.
Soo dope man you've got alot of knowledge! Do you just use a stainless steel wire wheel to clean before weld no acetone?
Thanks brotha! It depends, but usually just a grinder and stainless wire wheel. Welding is my thing, so I keep the prep work to a minimum!
Was any foam or anything added under the floor?
No customer specifically asked for no foam
I’m building the exact same boat 1860 alumacraft. But I’m not keeping my center console. Almost identical style
what thickness alum do you use for your hatches?
.125
Curious about what this costs? I have this almost identical boat. Also, I'm in Suffolk.
I have to see your boat, but I think this build was somewhere around 3K
The live well could be in the hatch you built so it could be a better design like you’ve done in the past.
Id love to build this boat to ots full potential, but i just dont have time! Things kind of blew up quick! Im trying to pick and choose the best builds for next year.
Just curious why do you rivet so much when you can weld
Not hating just curious
Usually all welded boats have no rivits
