- Hey guys, this is the start of a brand new series building a new boat for my fishing channel. It all started when I met George from NQ Mono Hulls here in Ingham passing through town on my travels late last year. I had previously met and stayed with his brother in law down in NSW on my travels so when I was passing through I had been told to drop in and say G'Day. George is an incredible fabricator and welder who makes hand cut and CNC cut boats fully custom for his customers. When George said he was going to build me a custom boat for my channel I asked if I could give him a hand and learn the trade and film the process for a UA-cam series and he was all for it. Keeping in line with the rest of my channel in building or helping build my own boats it was an incredible 12 months of learning that I wont forget. These are the manufacturers that are diamonds when you find them. Absolute wealth of knowledge and I can tell his motivation is pure. Of course He's getting some advertising but He's helping a fella out and sharing in his success. I hope samurai boiats nothing but success from this, they bloody deserve it.
As a tradesman of another genre, the display of workmanship and detailed explanation of techniques used is making this one of the most interesting videos I have ever watched. You guys are setting a very high bar for future boat build videos, well done to you all. This bloke has a blood aluminium count of 0.15, he lives for it and it runs in his veins! What an absolute beast, welds up lice on camera, smashed it out and puts his skill on the line live with every cut and weld. True craftsman and credit to his trade and craft. Stand up applause

I know how you feel. I had my eyes burned from aluminum welding and it f-ing sucked so bad. It felt like someone was just dumping sand into my eyes. I will never be around aluminum welding again without safe eye protection.
I'm building a 15 ft boat in a few weeks from a pre-cut kit. This video is one of the most helpful I have seen. Cheers from the US!

George is simply the best I have seen, it’s so great to see such a talented guy sharing his knowledge and he is well supported by Darren. One of the best tutorials I have had the pleasure watching. True blue back to basics with genuine trade skills displayed. As an older boilermaker, you George are carrying the skills forward for the next generation. Enjoying the build and people buying your product George should feel very proud to own your boats. from cracking huge jacks up the creek 2 in a row to going threw the canals and catching a bream on every zman colour lure ( can't remember the name of lure ) to talking threw every jack you got in a season to the skiff and much more. I'm so glad you have made it this far I've always believed in you as a person. keep it up legend
