Thanks for this breakdown Nick! I've been wanting to try some of these out, and with fall approaching I think I'm gonna give this a try. What speed and type of baitcast reel do you recommend? 6.x:1 or 7.x:1?
Do you know where to get replacement tails for my shine glide 185 7-1/4 inch glide bait I just need the tail I got the rainbow trout color it will help if you could find the tail
These baits could have been so good, the problem with them is that they sink too fast. Its turns the fish off, you can watch them on livescope anytime you do a quick twitch or a quick 180, the followers will shoot in like they gonna strike, but then as the bait starts to fall, they turn off last second. The key to fishing swimbaits is that they need to suspend or very very slowly sink. I would rather have one that suspends or slow floats so i could weigh the trebles and make it just very slowly sink.
My magnum glide is on it's way! Can't wait to fish it. Thanks for the how-to.
One of my favorite glides
Thanks great information!!

Very informative video!
Glad you think so! :)
What's the difference in the Roach and the 3D shine glide?
Shineglide is hard glide side to side lure. The Roach is soft line-thru swimming action no side to side glide action.

We are listening to your feedback and a have a big surprise for you this ICAST. ;)
I've never fished a shine glide myself, but I agree with the glidebaits needing to be at least slow sink or floating.
This glide bait is nice but the only thing that sucks is that the tail comes off so easily
dab of super glue keeps it on lmao. easy fix.
@@sambageian found out the hard way lol. I superglue all my glidebait tails now
Caught a 26 pound striper on this
I will never use florocarbon . I’ve lost more lures with it than mono or braid.
Tie better knots then.
@@jrowinski82 tied them all. Looked up a bunch. Saving money and not using floro. Catch just as many fish with mono.
