Nice comparison. Picked up a BC183 yesterday. Can’t wait.
Awesome buddy!!! You help me a lot with this video… much appreciate.
Kudos on all the sick sunface pedals ! ☀️ thx for doing this comparison- I have a Bart for about 6 mos now and I find it to be pretty noisy, figured I’d check youtube for any new vids…. And u can definitely hear a noise jump w the Bart. It did reassure me a bit to hear that all of them cause some level of noise, so I guess that’s just a fuzz pedal universality. Haven’t owned any 2 or 3 transistor fuzzes until this one so didn’t have much to compare it to. Well done 👍
❤❤❤
Great comparison. Thanks so much. I have the Astrotone and am looking at the Sun Face. Your video really helps. BTW, the Astrotone is pretty quiet and a great crunch machine.
Analog Man pedals are great! Any of these Fuzz pedals would work great in musical context in which you are demonstrating them. The differences are really, really subtle and wouldn’t effect the mix in a band. 99% of listeners wouldn’t be able to perceive ANY difference.
Makes the case to get the cheapest Silicon unit (for reliability)?
Thanks! That RCA is my pick.

retirement fun(d) nice collection!
wow thanks for this. they all really do sound a nd react differently.
Great comparison! Are NKT Red Dot and BART low or high gain? Which one is noisier when you are not playing? Which one, of those two, do you prefer overall?
Thanks. Both Nkt red dot and Bart are mid gain. But Nkt red dot definitely quieter of all. Bart and and 2N were noisier. Between Nkt and Bart, i prefer Nkt for sure because its very good mid range.
I have the Bart, and I really wish I had gotten a different transistor because they are super noisy. If u have kind of a noisy amp or any noise going on… the Bart makes it almost unusable. It does sound massive… I put a 10 band eq after it occasionally and give it some mids to cut through, but u really can’t turn it up far enough because of the noise. I have to keep the volume at 12 o’clock and the fuzz at 75%. Clean knob and bias at noon.
Wow... to my ears the Astro Tone is killer in the volume down, very similar to the legendary NKT Red Dot ... what do you think?
Actually in guitar volume down settings you can get very similar gain to NKT from Astro tone. In max fuzz setting, astro is so wild en bassy. In order to make it more close to nkt red dot, i am using a klon pedal to increase treble a bit. Klon with gain very low or zero, volume is 12:00 and treble at 13:00 gives very close sound to nkt red dot in all volume settings.
183 hands down
Nice! Is that rca the low gain variant ?
No this is with a normal gain transistor. Bought 1 year ago
Is the 2N low, mid, or high gain? Thanks.
It is mid gain. 👍
@@lkaydihan Thanks Levent!
