People be saying "don't judge a book by its cover" when the things you complained about are major parts of the film that aren't gonna be changed in the final product.
This is my Hot take on the whole franchise as well. For whatever reason, they keep making April and Casey into teenagers as well, but they were adults even from their first appearances up until the 2012 version. I think from that moment on, April and Casey got demoted regarding their age. Which if the reason is because the Turtles need more friends around their age, it was to my understanding the turtles were adult teens. Nkt to mention, the turtles had friends around their age in some of the movies such as Danny and Keno from the original movies. Im surprised those characters were never brought back in future adaptations as I think they could provide what the turtles need in friends without getting rid of the original dynamic from April and Casey.
That's a few good points, unless there's some copyright issue preventing Danny and Keno's use? Then again I haven't exactly been impressed with how this movie looks, I can see them turning Danny and keno into ineffectual emasculated characters or comic relief. I agree that April and Casey should be older than the Turtles, acting as a more 'mature' influence on the characters. People with different life experiences and skills to offer, but still young enough that they can relate to the TMNT on some level. Especially since Splinter already fills the niche of the older father figure/sensei.

I just watched the movie this weekend and I have to say I enjoyed the hell outta it. It's freaking amazing IMO. Also, in my opinion this video didn't age well but that's just me. Subbed. 🤝

My best guess is this is more their early years with modern times also the turtles have always been 15 if you want the turtles you’re talking about 2003-2005 ninja turtles and the 2007 ninja turtles man….those two eras were the *GOOD SHIT* seriously 2007 ninja turtles are such good designs and voices! It’s a shame they never picked up anything major with that verison of the turtles

If one of your major points against the movie is that one character isn't as hot as they use to be it just sounds like you're upset you can't be horny

I just watched this movie I liked some of it but overall it wasn’t great. It didn’t even really feel like the ninja turtles. The story was completely changed even splinter’s backstory. Characters like leatherhead, bebop and rocksteady also had their stories changed. The main villain in my opinion was pretty boring. The humor sucked in my opinion they were trying to hard to make the turtles seem cool and gen z. Like saying “rizz” or trying to make roasts which was just weird. The whole plot with the people from the lab doesn’t really go anywhere and they just serve as secondary antagonists. The voice acting is hilarious especially Donnie’s. The turtles themselves don’t even seem like older teenagers. They seem like they’re like 12-13. Overall it wasn’t great
This movie isn't TMNT. This is PMNT: Prepubescent Mutant Ninja Turtles. They sound like 8-year-olds. I personally dislike Seth Rogan movies. I don't find them funny, and he is annoying. I'll watch it at home when it is free, with alcohol :D I wouldn't pay the price of admission myself, but I hope some people find it fun.

Well after I saw TMNT: Mutant Mayhem I’m gonna say, I respect your opinion, but I actually really liked the mix of 2D and 3D as it gave the movie and really cool Comic Book vibe like it was coming off the page and was moving. If they want to go with the fat acceptance bs go ahead but the Aprils design is just so ugly. Like in tons of other cartoons and media fat people can look average and normal , you have to go out of your way to make a fat person unappealing. This design kinda reminds me of that starfires daughter concept from awhile back like how do y’all even. like I said you have to go out of your way to make fat characters completely ugly.
What I’ve been seeing for the last few yrs, there always seems to be a rise in making already existing characters fat as a form of representation. But here’s the thing: such characters need to be made originally and not have the fat concept in mind. You should have a fat CHARACTER not a FAT character.
Most of the time, you can tell the quality of a movie just by the trailer (especially if you watch alot of movies). No matter how I feel about the artstyle, the movie just won't be funny, original, or heartwarming in the slightest
