Wow Arch! Fantastic! Congratulations… this will feel like a long week for you! I’ve seen quite a few here in the U.K. now and it really looks like BMW have nailed it. 😊
Hi Arch, congratulations on the great new bike! Beautiful. And yes - this excitement when it's being unloaded in front of you - this is going to stay, this is one of the reasons you're actually buying it, isn't it? I've discovered your vlog by accident and I'm also a Motorrad Haneda client, I know Nozaki-san, and Kei Yamaguchi who appears on your video. Yes, they are great guys. Don't know if you've had a chance to meet the company owner, in his 80s, has lots of stories, speaks very good English. He used to hang out at the office quite a bit while Nozaki-san is actually running things. I've got R1250R, not the GS, but after watching some of your videos I thought it would be great to meet you and maybe go for a ride somewhere. BTW, every New Year day they have a group ride, usually out to Chiba, wonder if you've heard about it.
hello @alexeijp, yes I am very happy an cannot wait and I'm happy to see you as a client of the same dealer on my channel here, yes you are referring to Sato san and he and I get along very well. I am defiantly open for a ride together for sure, the year end ride for this season I could be part of it I'm just checking whether I'll be meeting family or not. 👍
You’re finally getting the 1300GSA. It looks cool! So it feels lighter than 1250? That is good. I would choose the one with clutch, too. I’m sure this will lay a new wonderful road before you. Enjoy it!!
Hi mate, i'm also based in Tokyo and currently weighing up the 1300 GSA versus the Africa Twin, test rode the 1300GS at Haneda and was very impressed. Did you ever consider any other options, and if so how did you decide?
Hello mate, happy to hear you took the 1300 for a test spin rode a short ride on mine again today and just loving more each time. It was a life long dream for me to ever own a GS so I am happy to have it now, the only ever bike I have considered is a T7 however that would be for off roading now what I love about the GSA is I can do both and have comfort on both offroad and onroad with the GSA and I love the events that BMW japan and Haneda organize and I have built up a great group of friends now, hope that helps mate 👍
@archjapanmotovlogs thanks for your thoughts, can I also ask how you decided between the GS and GSA? Understand you previously had the GSA, but trying to decide if the fuel range of the GS is an issue in the countryside (particularly Hokkaido). Any other features that made you lean that way?
@@alexscott3917 for me it is and will always be fuel anxiety which I've suffered with for a very long time, addtionall can the GSA be adjusted higher and its a longer frame as well from a geometry perspective GS 2212 mm vs GSA 2280 mm
Congratulations, Arch. Wishing you many hours of safe and fun riding!
Thanks so much Paul, I am excited to be riding it soon 👍
