I'm not sure you can call this Shakshuka, but it does look very good. Literally.
I laughed when earlier in the video he was like "I like the health aspect of things/this" and then he proceeds to put double cream and cream cheese in the dish xD
@@TheCursedMonkey what's wrong with cream cheese? It's made of just milk.
@@orange_kate Not in my country. It's made of cream and milk here 😂
@@TheCursedMonkey omg LOL same traditional shakshuka is so much healthier than that LOOOOL also how the fuck is it shakshuka when there is no tomato at all???? like bruh T-T
@@TheCursedMonkey those arent unhealthy
Normal shakshuka: olive oil, tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc
"Green" shakshuka: green vegetables, shitloads of cream and cheese
I was looking for this comment, and now can leave the comment section with satisfactory
I was waiting for tomatillos but uh I guess no form of tomatoes, just cream....?
Replace the cream with tomato paste and harissa for a slightly more traditional version
It looks great but it's not green and not shakshuka.
Yeah its much less healthy compared to a typical shakshuka with no cheese lmao…
Still healthy tho, but why would you want diet shakshuka? XD
So cool he does this for free. I know you make some money off YT, but doubt its a drop in the bucket to him. I was Infantry a long time and in my retirement, this type of show gives me a hobby and better health-budget. Thanks!

5. Oscar, pan down

Literally
Gordon: Why green? Because it's much healthier.
Also Gordon: Half cream, half cream cheese
😆😆😆😆
dairy isnt unhealthy
@@Gobbygoblin Dairy isn't but the fat in the double cream and cheese is if you use them a lot in your cooking. That's why people are saying it's not healthy or good for you.
@@TheCursedMonkey fat is not unhealthy. your body needs fat
@@Drikkerbadevand Jesus christ people. Everything is unhealthy if you eat it too much. That was the point. Sure dairy and fat and sugar etc is something you need but if you eat them too much too often its not good for you. And yeah, this dish might be healthy if you eat it now and then but if you use cream, fat and butter too much in your cooking/in every dish its not good for anyone.
@@Drikkerbadevand they literally said that the fat in dairy and cheese is good for you
Gordon is just brilliant at what he does the passion really comes through every time !
Your moms passion does too
i always watch when i'm eating
Now let’s make a pizza in 10 minutes I can do it ;0)
Do it man
With chef Mike
I hand out cookies, here you go🍪
Even domino's takes 15 min lol
Yours will be crap tho goodbye
Awesome. Over 10 years of Watching you and you’re still my favorite chef. Cheers my man
Fantastic, never even thought you could do it differently than with tomatoes. I can see how the cream is very important in this one, you just need something to balance all the tastes.
Looks delicious
"healthy and delicious. Touch more cream in there" 5:56
I love this guy
I was just about to make the same comment, until I scrolled down.
My favorite Ramsayism is "just a little knob of butter"... when he throws a 1/4 cu of butter into 2 scrambled eggs.
@@johnr8252 restaurant chefs live and die by their salt, pepper, olive oil and.......butter.
Gordon, you are such a master of your craft!
It would start to rain in the room that you would improvise and make it look like part of the process! 😁👍🏻

@@OsamaOSadollafound?
For those wondering what the h*ll a “courgette” is…
It’s a pretentious pricky way of saying “zucchini”
Don’t let the 25-cent words fool you
It’s not Shakshuka, it’s bunny food with eggs
Gosh this looks so good 😩
"I love how healthy this is"
5:00 Proceeds to add dollops of double cream and cream cheese
it wasnt that much plus everything is relative. It might not be the epitome of healthiness but compared to all the other stuff he makes it's quite healthy.
also we need to tackle fundamentals of the word healthy here. Is the low quantity of fat healthy or is the big quantity of greens healthy or is the diversity of food healthy? Or is it not healthy because there is arguably high amount of fat in it and it negates the healthiness of greens and diversity?
The amount of greens there are enough to make it healthy
Has been a while since I saw a dish that I immediately want to try out the next day, but there it is .. thank you, Gordon and team 🤗
This is not just a recepie but also an art
Not even Shakshuka anymore lol
This is a shakshuka with a touch of Italy 🇮🇹 perfect. And everybody can use any greens they like. Super 👍🏻
Looks tasty and quite wholesome! 💜
Gordon you are a great cook and all... What you just prepared looks delicious BUT this dish doesn't share a thing with chekchouka... As someone with both Algerien / Moroccan heritage I can tell you that chekchouka is made with Tomatoes as a base with peppers and onions, some might add courgettes or other aromatics but never cream! Checkcouka must be red and missy that's why it's called chekchouka ( we use the term broadly to emply chaos) + where is olive oil and garlic?
Yeah he did mention it at around 5:16 about the tomatoes and all. Maybe it's his version. Looks good nonetheless
I recently tasted shakshuka which contained chicken while travelling in a non-Arab country. So I guess that also has nothing to do with real shakshuka? It was heavy and filling and the first time tasting shakshuka for me. Maybe you could post your own recipe?I'd like to give this dish a try but would prefer it to be as authentic as possible.
@@i-Veehe stated it’s a green version of shakshuka I mean it’s pretty obvious it’s not made with tomatoes lol. Shakshuka means mixture anyways and this is just a different version of it.
Bro reached for the salt before the spoon hit his tongue lol, love him so much
Pretty cool to watch. I know Ramsay is a pro and all that but 1 continuous shot, under ten minutes and all the while still entertaining. Impressive.
Not a continuous shot, but damn, they do a good job of making it look that way. You can see at the 1:42 mark a piece of courgette left on the cutting board after Gordon dumps them into the pan. At 1:44 on the side shot, the courgette is still there. At 1:45, back at the front shot, the courgette is no longer on the board.
Good editing does wonders, but it can't do everything!
🔥I most definitely will be making this for my boyfriend & I 🎸
Nailed this delicious & beautiful dish!
Thank you Gordon 🙌🏼
Nice to see someone in these comment sections actually cooking
VOLUME NEEDS TO BE HIGHER
I absolutely love to watch you cook!
I love that white pan the food was made...what kind is it?
Yo I love you Mr Ramsay. You literally taught me how to cook
I like healthy options = use cream instead of tomato sauce
Brilliant. It’s become my go to breakfast ☺️
4:28 It days “about 4 minuets down” 🤣🤣
Like is Gordon dancing or cooking😂🤣??!
Perfectly 🥰
Basically a cream cheese heavy cream dip with eggs and some greens! I like it!!!!!
Imagine if this world doesn’t have olive oil.
omg u remined me of my mums shakshuka when i was back in algeria absolutly delish !!
Love Gordon, could watch him all day every day. But the spelling of "minuets" is getting to me 😭
Made my day
Wow that's amazing man
This is a twist for our traditional shakshouka. For me, without tomato, it is not a shakshouka
"OSCAR! PAN DOWN! PAN DOWN, you WANKER!"
This would take me at least half an hour to make 😂😂😂 But very good idea! The regular, tomato-based shakshouka is one of my favorite comfort foods. Might needs to give this one a try.
He cheats a little by having all the ingredients out at the ready. Lol
I also like cutting vegetables at an angle for visual interest in a dish. Sometimes I cut potatoes into diamond (actally rhombohedral) shapes for potato salad. ...looks pretty cool.
Chef Ramsay is Amazing!! Every food he's cooking looks delicious! 🤤🤤😊 Now I want to have my own Gordon Ramsay in my life. 😂😂😍
You sus
Looks absolutely amazing. Love the pan you're cooking in.
Excellent 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Folks, don't go putting your porcelain or whatever white serving dish material on the stove. It will likely crack or explode. Gordon is using something different here.
Oscar did a great job as always
@Claudia bruh
Ngl, the editor has the timing perfect at 1:35
I like his ideas, but he literally needs a shock collar to literally jolt him with pain literally every time he says "literally". 😁
Dammit Oscar!!!!! Pan down!!!
Dear Gordon, As an North African i can tell isn’t an shakshouka at all !! Even a « green shakshouka »
you can do it with green pepper, oinons, tomatoes, garlic, fresh herbs and eggs… but this dish is totally different than the originally… Chef I like you but please don’t call it shakshouka 🤣
I was thinking the same thing! Lol
It still looks great, but not shakshuka
Definitely not shakshuka and with all that cream and cheese not that healthy either.
@@maxt.2013 Exactly! What's supposed to be unhealthy about tomatoes? And who seasons bread with extra salt?!?!?
He mentioned about shakshouka we all are used to at around 5:16 so i guess this is his version idk lol
@@i-Vee chef gordon knows exactly what is a shakshuka! he traveled a lot…. in kitchen we can inspired and revisited some dish but not denatured ! A word to the wise is enough 😁

Looks tasty!!
Ouais
Thank you Chef Ramsay for this inspiration - I cannot wait to try my take on this
I'm getting interested into cooking now.
A healthy double cheese and cream shaksuka 😂😂. Don’t think Gordon gets healthy. Still the GOAT of the TV chef world. You have rekindled my love of cooking. Thank you Gordon!!

Well... The dish is pretty healthy... But for someone who also exercise... and side note, you will not eat that by yourself... There are like 3 or 4 portions there

What cooking dish is Mr. Ramsay using? It looks ceramic but sounds metal.
You’re fantastic. Looks delicious. I’ll be making this. Thx
Am from Thailand I love gordon
I had no idea what shashuka was until today. Thank you Gordon Ramsay!
this is not traditional shakshuka. no cumin? cream? no way
This has nothing to do with chekchouka... As a North African me and my wife are laughing soo hard... Any way one way to make chekchouka : poor some olive oil on a pan or a tagine, add thin sliced red onions, pureed tomatoes, sliced courgettes or diced pepper season with salt black pepper, paprika, ginger and a lot of cumin... Cook till the courgettes are cooked but slightly crunchy... Ad eggs and cover the pan until the wite yolks are cooked, serve as is with bread and eat using your hand
@@khelifimohamedzakaria776 exacly. I have nothing against Gordon, like his style, but this has nothing to do with shakshuka.
@@tendingtropic7778 It's clearly his variation, looks like one to me only more green.
@@YvesCFC chekchouka has many variations all over the Mediterranean, as an example in France they have ratatouille... But no one use cream!
Absolutely love your twist on this dish, the fact that people have no creativity on food is quite funny, if people actually took the time to know what shakshuka MEANS they could better relate to this dish. Shakshuka simple means "all mixed up" the dish consist of veggies, spice, cheese, egg and bread to dip into the dish and eat, its ok that he used greens and cream rather than tomatoes. Just Brilliant Gordon!
What is that white pan? I have the HexClad but I want this white one now too.
Looks delicious, and for those saying this isn't shakshuka, the word itself stems from the Arabic expression meaning "all mixed up" or "a mixture" so by definition it ain't wrong 😂
I am an arabic woman and this is not Shakshuka
It's seems nice but this is NOT shakshuka
Literally dreamy... 10 minutes to a delish, eggy, creamy dish! Gonna go check out this cookbook now...
"Healthy"
Adds 6 giant blobs of cream and salt on everything even the bread xd
If something is tasty, I'll call it healthy because it makes me feel good 🤣
Essential nutrients are unhealthy?
Ummm... Might want to go back to the 1950's for a refund on your nutritional education.
Green shakshuka, consider me impressed
I've never seen anyone cook in one of those. It looks like a serving tray. Now I want one 😂
Same here! What is that? I need one!!
I didn’t even know that I wanted this. Merde, where can I get one?
Kale, olive oil, soy sauce and Sesame seeds.
This is NOT Shakshuka..
So much better than other stuff you do; except with your family-they're fun to watch with you.
Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
