- Let me show you how to promote your music on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter while building your brand and business at the same time. If you want to rapidly build a fanbase you have to first start with knowing what to post. Content marketing on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok is only effective when you have a system in place in order to market yourself effectively. It doesn't matter if you're just getting started or you've been at it for years. Posting fresh content consistently doesn't have to give you anxiety. In this video I reveal a secret recipe that I've been using for years to avoid that stress and rapidly grow a following on all my focused social platforms.

What social media platform is currently your favorite and which is your favorite of all time? Anyone else remember how amazing MySpace was? Lol.
MySpace was the one in the days
TiKTok…
Tik tok has been amazing for us
Facebook
I spend all my time on youtube (which is bad) but TikTok is the key to how imma promote my personal brand.
It's been really cool to watch your Channel grow Adam. You have helped push me to: Start a UA-cam channel, a business instagram and think more about how and WHY I'm posting. The business has been taking a back seat but with all the layoffs and the world being the way it is, I'm SO glad I started this all 4 years ago instead of 4 hours ago. Havent blown up yet but its a marathon, not a sprint. Thanks again!
Adam this is just the video I need for this week! I plan to use this summer to grow my following and my social media presence is just what I need to work on! Thank you for all your help! Hope your doing well!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm getting on board with the masterclass. Doing the 2 week challenge in the mean time and this video really helped to give me an extra push and deeper understanding of what I'm doing. Truly appreciate it
Really great video Adam! Thank you! I love what you said about offer exhaustion. I’ve done it myself and I’m very aware of it when I see others doing it. It definitely does not work. Nurturing is the way to go while your building up your audience! Great advice 🙌
Your videos are literal gold, this stuff should not be free!!☺️
Glad you like them!
Then pay!
Thank you for helping us understand better such a vast and vague concept. We really appreciate you 🙏
This video helped me understand everything i need to kno about social media
Adam made a new word! Professional and polished, profolished 😆. Love it
You are helping me out a lot.
I do like that sweater :D
Thank you Adam
Really dig ur QUIRKY sweater man
thank you for great tips.
This makes sense💯
Thank you for the random gems Adam. We're enjoying the journey 🚁🚀
More to come!
Thanks Adam, this helps 😊
Happy to help!
Gotta love that profolished content. #SpeakGoodGang & #SpellGoodGang
Best of luck in all you do nothing but love and support from Philly #phillylove🔥🔥🔥
legendary stuff
This is gold!!! You need to put this kind of info in a course and charge for it!! 😄🙌🙌🔥🔥🎶🎶
Trying out this music journey,I hope it works out in the end ❤️❤️
Ty!!
Loved the video, very very valuable channel on UA-cam🙏
Great videos, Adam. Very profolished
This guy never misses 💯
Smart!!
nice content thanks
YOU IS REALLY INSPIRING PERSON I LIKE YOU AND THANKS FOR THIS
this is a great video
Great
Adam, the most difficult thing for me is that I'm still at the point of not sure of where I want to go with my music. I know I want to reach out to audience, those who can appreciate my music, even just a small amount of people. I understand about marketing as well as some of my past jobs were in marketing. It's just, that I want to be more focus in producing musics, and regarding the marketing aspect, I just don't want to be seen like too much selling out like a door-to-door salesman. My opinion is that I just want to reach out to listeners who have the taste of the genre of music that I make, but if it grows larger, then it's fine. Another thing is that I feel kinda nervous and anxious imagining the big aim, huge amount of fans and so on. So how can I determine my direction because currently I'm just kinda flow casually trying to enjoy more of the making music aspect rather than the marketing one. I guess I'm having problem on selling myself out or my music. I've subsribed to your channel but still hesitate to take your classes, as I also have a kind of aim on taking vocal class as well to better my singing.
if you don't have clear intent with your actions you aren't going move forward
Sounds like you just need to focus on making music and putting it out there, online in posts, on whatever platform you feel best about.
I've found setting myself a daily songwriting challenge helps with my creation and marketing process.
Document don't create.
Does that make sense?
thats a really cool shirt, i need it
Imma work hard to be successful, and with your help , I know I will make it
I guess this makes sense , dragged my heels for too long , finally creating a nice spread now
I got to say Adam not many would be able to pull that shirt off but you did 💪
Thank you!
The timing of this is spot on, dropping my first single in over a year in 2 weeks and I just started the promo 2 days ago
New Word unlocked * perfolished
Hey Adam what’s the time commitment for the sell music course?
I have question. If an artist is totally new. Like zero fans like myself. How do I reach an audience ? Most marketing youtuberes always talks about pre release content such as promo videos and teasers. But does it make sense to make teasers in an empty room ? I guess they're talking about that ones who already have something of a fan base. I find It hard to find ways to promote my music when no one knows me ! haha
Just put your music out first.
Then find an audience.
It helps to get really clear on what or who you sound like.
Then post your song links in the comments section of those artists.
Don't spam though...join in the conversation.
Social media is a party! So don't be a dick just engage with people then ask if people would like to hear your latest song
I want to answer your original question. I think you should just don’t bother with the teethers and sneak peaks and just go right into releasing a song. Especially now at the beginning when you were trying to build a fan base. Just my opinion. This way when someone comes across the video they come across the real deal. They come across your music which is what you’re trying to promote anyhow. Rather than them saying OK if they want me to wait a certain amount of time to hear the music and I’m losing the attention. People on social media have a very short attention span and so at least for me I’ve succeeded by just posting my music. Then once I build and now that I have build a little bit of a following I can mention it to her three weeks ahead of time. Hope this can also help you out
At what moment of my music journey should I create an “official” music video? When my fanbase is none, I just have regular social media contacts.
Any suggestions?
By the way I love this videos, they are always very helpful!
😂05:05 What a huge perspective! I wasn't ready >_ < HAhahah but's it's so true😭
I wish I did more music videos, I have the camera and editing skills + time to do them, but I always procrastinate because of the anxiety I get when going out to public places and not being held accountable. I know how much they could help my music career but I still don’t ever make them. I also hate being on camera. It sucks 😩
Bro try to get in your zone before filming
I procrastinated a lot when I had to record and sometimes taking a little break or doing something to get in the right mood is all that is needed to get you firing again
Baby steps are crucial for starting out - and then as practice makes you perfect, you gain more confidence. Nerves are a part of life which promote self-sabotage.
One successful tiktok video got more traffic to my UA-cam than 2 years of posting every 3 days on IG 😅 so I guess that's my favourite platform now.
Viral TikToks are great but you need a full ecosystem. It's a different animal and has a different purpose.
@@adamivy true! just watched your video about the downsides to tiktok after i posted that comment. I gotta remember not to get caught up in numbers! Instagram still has its value of course.
Ok
do you have good "attraction content" examples? id love a video on each one of the 3 categories. Thanks!
Posting mostly promo content is my sin actually... Time to change it, You are truly inspiring
I cannot find you on insta?
It's itsowlmygod :D
I'm the biggest entertainer coming out of nyc but I need to take a break so someone have to run the show till I come back are you available for a session
Do you think for someone who's just starting out they should upload promo content first or nurturing or attraction content?
My opinion. Starting off with promotional contact is a great idea but make sure it isn’t boring or repetitive. Provide some value so people are intrigued and willing to click that follow button. At least for me I was able to do quite well by sharing some get to know me content and my music at the beginning and then after like five or six videos I got into more behind-the-scenes stuff. Try it out and see what works for you I don’t think they’re the right or wrong here. Also from what I mentioned above was able to do pretty well on Instagram in a few days and I was satisfied with us. I hope this can help and if you have any questions let me know so I am legally blind and so is his comment doesn’t completely make sense I apologize
Is there anyway you could do some content on how to market your merchandise? I’m struggling getting the word out there about my merchandise
Merch is easy when you are able to convert fans into supporters using your charisma.
A good tip is to take your best lyrics and put them on your merch. People will more likeky wear a message but not a logo or design from an unknown artist
Adam I need advice please😢
I have secured an admission that leads to me reading computer science, I realized my obsession with music after I have applied for and now that school is on my fingertips, I don't even know how I can possibly do music and school at the same time
What do u think I do🙏🙏
Go to school and get your degree. It’s only a few years that will help fund your music career. Quitting school to pursue music could be really stupid. Your call though.
@@adamivy tanx man
I really needed this🙏
I'm from an Asian country. I write my original songs in English and upload them on tiktok. But since tiktok is geo focused I can't get it out to the audience of an english speaking country. Doe s anyone know how to fix this?
Hey Adam, it´s interesting to hear your insights and advice. I am a solo artist in Sweden and I´m releasing my music, rock and power metal, every third week and trying to reach as many as possible, since I am unknown and "upcoming" guitar player and also singer. If you just so happen to be able to give me a push I´d sure appreciate it! -Pete Roxx (DistroKid)
I'm going to be on top of the MUSIC INDUSTRY, I promise 😈✨🌎🚀
Good luck bro!!
That's the spirit!
No you won't. Just focus on putting out engaging music and content consistently.
That's the only thing you can control.
The tulips on your shirt look sad bro 😂
I've got a little question that's torturing me, can i show my actual music progress on social media? I mean, if my content is original, shouldn't i be scared about someone stealing my content?
YES! That's exactly what you should be doing.
If people steal your material.
A) It's copyrighted automatically you write it and will be timestamps when you post it.
B) It means its good enough that people want to use it.
Document your process 👍
@@prosperousmusician419 Omg the B) was mindblowing... But what if i'm only showing the process? I mean, the song hasn't been released yet and i can't copyright it
@@igna.mortier A song is automatically copyrighted when you record it, don't worry about people copying it, just record it and put it out
@@igna.mortier What kind of song are you working on?
@@prosperousmusician419 I'm on a pop/soul/dance type of, kinda like a mix between Dua lipa and Weeknd
Hay Adam, can I still change my stage name? Although I haven't blown up but many people I know know me with my stage name and I've done many comments and other stuff on social media with my stage name but something happened last week that made people call me something else which I think I Vibe with; so should I change it?
I changed mine.
No issues.
Yep change it.
is a piano reel or a music video promo content?
Yes it is
@@adamivy thank you
I don't get good views because ultimately my music just isn't good. I'm okay with that.
what if you are an artist who wants to remain enigmatic? there's something be to be said about revealing TOO MUCH abut your personal life... You then just become another person trying to sell music... instead of an artist trying to make art...
Doesn’t work unfortunately. Even the most “mysterious” artists need story telling and significant marketing.
I love how you keep saying "it's not about manipulation" when we all know it's (at least partially) manipulation.
Persuasion and Manipulation are two very different methods.
@@adamivy I'd love to see you do a video on that :))
