The word that popped into my head when this video finished was "authentic." I think that's the spot where we all miss the boat sometimes, and all of your points underscore the need for authenticity in different aspects. Appreciate this perspective.
Lord this is sinister. I'm pretty sure my therapist would have some very sharply negative things to say about training yourself to see everyday occurrences as potential Instagram posts.
I felt like giving up, coz business is too slow, thought I was cursed, then this video happened... so I'll let my past make me wiser, but I won't let it destroy what comes tomorrow. Thanks Burstimo! 💛
Hey I loved this comment, it's great how you are trying to take action on these tips from the video. I'm currently researching some important aspects of a musicians career like how to grow the relationship with your fans. I can buy you some lunch over a phone call to talk further about this, looking forward to connecting!
Great advice on defining one's brand and targeting the right audience. I’ve been messing around with boost app social for crafting bio, captions, and even content ideas. It's neat!
Great stuff! And as someone who hasn't been super consistent with his social media content, that exponential growth pointer has given me the motivation I need to keep at it :)

Ngl, this video really motivated me. I was literally staring at my account with 3 followers and no posts, feeling like it was a mistake made in a burst of random inspiration. Now that I've seen this video, and taken some notes, I'm ready to try to start my art account!

So much advice to new artists assumes you have a lot of social media experience. Thank you for covering the most basic principles and offering support to those who are truly just starting out. This advice will really help me.

@@mattwolff2669 Thanks for responding to my comment. I'm not sure how buying me lunch over the phone works, but it sounds interesting. Full disclosure, my music career is in limbo right now because of financial issues and I'm sure you wanted to talk because you thought I could be a potential client. Not saying I can't talk, but I don't want to waste your time either. Wine and dine me at your own risk! 😆
Thank you, your video is very informative and logical than other video that just talking about some subjective motivational stuff. Now, it's give me some idea what i can do for improving my Instagram rather than just a being motivated and hoping for the best
Interesting video guys! Your one of the only music marketing youtubers I trust these American guys seem to chat so much waffle when it comes to marketing, nowadays whenever I'm listening to an artist on Spotify I like I tend to check out there Instagram profile to see if there is anything on there I can model, for the most part electronic producers suck at social media marketing! It amazes me how many people don't post regularly or have really boring content ( no one cares about your screen recording of your song played on the radio!!!) I'm at ground zero with 88 followers -mostly friends & family but hey its a start, I did also remove 20 followers that were spam accounts. This has definitely given me some ideas at what to post as currently have removed all my posts to start a fresh.
honestly I kinda love the Burstimo vids which is why I subbed. feels like your viewpoint on sharing music makes sense. Main thing I want is to make music every day - for that to be a life-long reality, I need a fanbase - means I need exposure. it's exciting to share my best work with people, but also hard to figure out and a bit intimidating. this vid helped a lot - especially for reassurance ^_^
Wat u prefer for youtube so to make musicvideo and post no ones care what videos should a singer post because not everybody wants make jokevideos…u do great job✌️✌️✌️✌️
Dude is The REAL DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Stinks at 1st BUT YOU WILL GROW..........Oh n Tip 1. This aint FACEBOOK but FIND Your FRIENDS n FAMILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are at Zero Some of them are or will be on there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic ! Thanks Alex , much appreciated ! I will be watching the rest , I just love your commitment guys well done ! There’s hope at last for us artists without companies behind them , And ones like me who just don’t have a clue where we are going wrong .

You guys make great content that simply speaking, if one follows through on all the steps, there is no way you will NOT make a breakthrough. Yes. Even If your music ist crap.
Not something that we do for our artists, but if you want to do it then there's no harm in it. But if you can afford $5 then spending that on promoting your post to those with the interests of your chosen hashtags would go a lot further
The moment you need to post something is when you better go back to the studio and make a greater song because social media is killing creativity for music artists, labels should have those accounts by contract.
Should I create a new account for my artist stuff or should I just use my regular account that already has the same name as my artist name but I’ve always used it as my personal account in the past ?
I have this strange problem when I try to create an Instagram account it says my email is already in use even though I have never created an account there before. Can't seem to contact Instagram about it either. They just don't answer. So I'm basically screwed. No Instagram for me I guess :(
im just really bad at promoting and even posting my music, like i have tons of songs but i really dont know how to post them? idk if that made any sense 😭
It's so f***ing sad that this is where music is at. Social marketing, to a set list of 'friends' no less, for the majority of the time and THEN whatever's left for your music and practice...kind of a fleeting combo. The house wins first btw (IG, FB, TikTik, etc ad-nauseum). Well, maybe start a new game? Artists, if you see everyone is 'zigging'....maybe try 'zagging'? :)

Same here, it’s been my secret for IG stories that pop.
“It is horrible. It is horrible for everyone.” 😂😂 Keeping it real, I like it!
I actually clicked as an visual artist, but I still found this helpful. Thanks and good luck everyone!
You might think you’re just creating content. But you’re changing peoples lives out there man. This helps a lot brother so thank you!
You guys read my mind! I’m about to start a new account to post and grow an audience! Thank you very much, hope one day we can work together

LOL this is brilliantly funny - “you have one follower and that’s your mom” spot on
This is very true. Some artists take years to get popular and finally blow up.
I can't wait to work with you guys. I just started an agency for musical talent. You guys are the blueprint!
Can i be a part of this agency?

Cool. very useful, of course!
It's a bit difficult for me when I usually stay away from social media. But i like to get my art seen for a potential buyer.
Thank you.
Yeah that youtube part is the real thing. And it makes sense
this is a great video thanks

Good tips here. Thank you.
Very simple and clear video. good work.
Thing that helps to stay consistent with social media is thinking of myself as a content creator instead of a musician.
Well said

very good stuff!
Hey there burstimo i had a question actually
How often should one post(as a musician) when starting out in Instagram?
Facts
this is a great video, i have a question. how much UA-cam content do yu consume vs create, Ive been gambling and losing if you know what I mean!
Great tips, thanks! 🤩🙌❤️
If this bloke knows so much and has all the answers how come he’s not a huge world wide star and is on here touting for business ?
The best advice
Great content guys
Insightful encouraging and focused tips thankyou !
Hey guys! Can you do a tutorial on TikTok ad campaigns? Would really appreciate that one!
what’s your guys’ opinion on posting hashtags in the comments of your posts? worth it or does it make your content look bad?
Not something that we do for our artists, but if you want to do it then there's no harm in it. But if you can afford $5 then spending that on promoting your post to those with the interests of your chosen hashtags would go a lot further

u said it all big man👏
Fantastic video! Thank youuu
I thought this was about art but still is valid either way
Thanks man
Thanks so much for this...
Very helpful video
THANK YOU!!!!!
Very very helpfull... now, quickly on to the UA-cam content video, please... 😬
Miss the couch
thx for the vid i'll be around
Should I create a new account for my artist stuff or should I just use my regular account that already has the same name as my artist name but I’ve always used it as my personal account in the past ?
Amazing channel.
I remember somebody added 1000 views to one of my IG vids and I didn't even ask them to they just did it after saying they were going to lmao
I have this strange problem when I try to create an Instagram account it says my email is already in use even though I have never created an account there before.
Can't seem to contact Instagram about it either. They just don't answer. So I'm basically screwed. No Instagram for me I guess :(
This is useful
Is Instagram still worth it?
Nope. It's not even close to Tiktok exposure and even worse IG has poor sales/monetize conversions
Thx,helps me out quite a bit
I struggle with posting to my social medias not going to lie , i have great music just need to get that other part down
I started from scratch again, the key is to stay consistent and make good videos.
I used to post my art on deviantart but i didn't really a strategy i just posted every week😁
im just really bad at promoting and even posting my music, like i have tons of songs but i really dont know how to post them? idk if that made any sense 😭
