Former Abia state governors looked down on Abians, did not think Abians deserved better lives. For those ex-governors , the people are used to living in dirty streets and homes, living in darkness, so they did not deserve anything better but except for themselves, families and friends. Their families and friends were the people who deserved cleaner homes, better air, better jobs, paid salaries to buy generators for their homes and paid pensions so their lives can go on easy after retirement.

Peter Obi is not Alex Otti , he spent 8 years as governor of Anambra state and never transformed the state as much as Otti has transformed Abia after only 8months. To me obi belongs to the category of leaders we need to dump. Although I am sure he would have still outperformed Tinubu as president who is an unmitigated and still unfolding disaster.

Outstanding ideas but useless if the nationals are only there at the bottom rung of the ladder in both ownership, skills and financial rewards. Africa must resist becoming just a caretaker provider for foreign investors with their local input pitiful returns, rewards contributions and often unacceptable treatment of both environment and local underpaid workers. Stop acting in desperation for little or nothing but exploitation. No free lunch. Your land your rules and don't forget to add some funds too. It cut both ways.
