If u have ur crosshair on the floor while turning a corner and seeing an opponent, u need to move it way more. A point that I figured I'd mention: The graphics are bad so that the game can run at a playable framerate on just about any machine. It was built to be competitive, not to look pretty

They still haven't fixed the bug where you need to restart the game before a comp/Faceit match if you've played on a community server. And it's been there for weeks and it's pretty annoying. The updates have also been pretty small but I guess Valorant isn't making it worse.
I give Valorant a ton of props. After playing the beta, I jumped into cs to practice before launch. The competitive nature of Valorant really prepared me for cs
I think Valorant has a long long way to go before it can truly compete with CS. The map design is awful, the character balance is awful and the completely random recoil is awful. Considering CS is now also free I wouldn't really suggest this game to anyone that wants a new competitive shooter just down to how unpolished it still feels.

I really like this game, but I hate that the first time i played, the infamous anticheat broke my pc, and so many people have this problem, i don't thinks that huge flaw its being told enough
This comment needs to be way higher. Valorant requires the Vanguard anti-cheat software, which has access to your entire PC, even more than you do as a user. This software is not only a security risk, but has already been shown to significantly interfere with people's systems in all sorts of ways.

Great game, little rough around the edges in some aspects, but it does so much so well. Played through a few times, once just recently too. Aged well for sure.

Instead I just keep running into my ex gfriend.
I'm not the greatest at this game, but I'm enjoying my time with it. Learning maps and characters and which weapons I prefer is a lot of the fun for me. Hitting shots and not dying in every round feels good.
i haven't seriously played an FPS since CoD4 and BF3, and have never played FPS on PC, so this has been a righteous display of ass on my skill's part, but it's still a lot of fun. haha
Then don't play it. I got in on day one of the beta and played it for a week or so. Honestly, you aren't missing much, especially if you're anxious about the anti-cheat. Better off sticking with csgo

I have been playing CS for a long time and i feel like it got stale and the devs simply dont care about the game anymore. thats why i swapped to valorant. A fresh new take on a age old concept.

Valorant's anti-cheat is supposed to be "the best" because it has that level of access, but people still cheated on the first day of the beta. An anti-cheat with 0 level access,that doesn't work, from a Chinese company. is WAY too suspicious. I don't care if they start paying you to play it, I am never installing this sh.
I would play this game if the anti cheat was not loaded up on start up. The anti cheat is a ring 0 kernel that means it has full access to your computer
Stupid reason to be honest. There are many software applications that run at this level that you likely trust, an application doesn't need this level of access to get your data, and if you're scared of governments stealing your data they already can and will do this without the need for Vanguard. If you're also so concerned, stay off the internet, you're much more vulnerable there.
@@higglyjuff The problem is that the trusted applications are made by companies that have no way to hand over your data to the Chinese government. Valorant is made by Riot Games, which is majorly owned by Tencent, a Chinese Company, and if Tencent gets access to any of your data, the Chinese government can and likely will force Tencent to hand it over to them.

higglyjuff Accessing data is only the tip of the iceberg. There’s a huge risk that a malware can be created to hack the anti-cheat program and manipulate the root access for its own purposes, in which case the China angle doesn’t matter, the unknown third-party that creates the malware is the dangerous problem.
The main problem is the Vanguard anti-cheat since it runs at kernel level 0, which means you put yourself in a huge risk of losing your computer/getting hacked.
I downloaded it the day after release and I've been hooked since. It's so satisfying watching yourself learning and getting better. I got my first ace tonight
Tool0GT92 it depends on the game fortnite had a a very good aim assist for controller which is why you heard it was broken or is good by some in that community, but any other shooter controller doesn’t stand a chance vs keyboard and mouse
Skipping this game until they’ll drop the Vanguard anti-cheat system. There’s no excuse for allowing any non-essential program to gain access to a computer’s Kernel level, it’s a major security risk.

Don’t download this game. The anti cheat downloads a root kit into your computer’s kernel giving it administrator controls. This is a very serious security flaw that makes this game way to dangerous to download
This game isn't for everyone and thats okay. Its for people who love competitive gameplay and climbing ranks, its okay to not like the look of it but still respect the fact that its a good game for its genre and as someone who has put 1200 hours into CSGO i can tell you that this is absolutely a good game for its genre. Its essentially CSGO but with 'hero' based gameplay and a bunch of QOL improvements, new twists and innovations and it has a fair (although fairly pricey (but it is F2P so ill give that a pass)) monetization model as well as being developed by ex CSGO pro players and map designers. If you love CSGO i absolutely recommend giving this a try.
What about the anticheat valorant have which wants access to the ring 0 (highest security level) that can literally do anything with your data present on your pc. And riot is owned by Tencent which is a Chinese company and as per Chinese government rules, the government can order these companies to give all the user data to them.
I feel its important to point out that the anti cheat in this game has access to hardware on the kernel level for the pc version.. this means there's almost nothing that the game doesn't have access to on your PC. I love popcorn as much as the next guy but if you care about your privacy it may be worth giving this one a pass.
Almost everything you give admin's permission has access to almost everything on your pc, you don't need to go into kernel lvl for that The level of the anti cheat is that so it doesnt get bypassed by, well, cheats
that can really depend on the round. Sometimes an entire team will rush one site or sometimes the team will split in which case it leads to a semi-slow round. If chaos is what you are looking for, try the new gamemode called spike rush.

This game makes some noise on having spyware in their Anti Cheat program, and that thing boots up when you start your PC not only when you start the game, I'd rather skip this one....
Ya love the game, but it's super unnerving. Got the beta and the release and the anti cheat is ALWAYS on. Cant play if it doesn't boot up with your computer. Its less demanding than other shooters for mine, but I see a lot of people saying their computers crashed bc of it.
IMPORTANT: The anti cheat called vanguard is a root file. Which means it can access anything on your computer. My pc has already got a blue screen from the anti cheat. The file is called vgk.sys. Also it activates as soon as you turn on your pc. WARNING DOWNLOAD AT OWN RISK⚠️

If you download this game on a laptop there is a chance your keys won’t work because the anti hack “vanguard” blocks some stuff. This happened to me and some of my friends too

@@StormX24 It practically is a rip off of csgo (and some overwatch) though. It may be an alright game, but the obvious similarities in concept and gameplay can still be acknowledged by anyone.
What I instantly liked about the game: 1. Instant, clear and useful GUI. Everything from the menu's allowing you to check you last match chile queing to the real time mini-map and forgivable buy phase menu. It all makes the game feel intuitive and easy. 2. Nice, bright graphics. Honestly, I would take this game over CS:GO just because of this if everything else was similar. Just watching Valorant maps and characters compared to the CS:GO inspiration makes the game feel much nicer. It also makes it very clear who is who by the different character designs, helping you gues their roles as well as easily knowing which teammates are which. 3. Good matchmaking system with rewarding ranks, anti-AFK and dropout systems as well as in-game voice chat with an easy setting which makes it fun to play even without friends. These qualities are just so awesome. Put together they create a perfect mix that I enjoy playing despite me not being into shooter games. Who cares about rippof of gameplay - that is basically what almost every new game does. I care about the feel of the game as a whole, and I can only rate Valorant as a 5/5. PS: not having expensive skins make it so rewarding to steal the weapon of your fallen enemy.
@@glados9298 You realize that's a very small step to just get to the anti-cheat right. It doesn't even take that long, not to mention, YOU CAN LITERALLY TURN IF OFF. You just have to restart to play valorant.
i'm hesitating to download it cause the vanguard system since it scans the entire pc from the moment i turn on my pc until i turn it off. Yesterday i downloaded it after all cause of my friends and i deleted it after like 1 match (we won) cause if your monitor res is 2560×1080 than the game can't fill it up but the main menu and the loading screen can
Jonathan Santos but that’s not the problem. It literally turns on the moment you turn on your computer. That’s not how anti cheat software should work. It should only run when you boot up the game.

I'm amazed you guys didn't cover the huge privacy issues with their anti cheat system always running in the background of you PC and having more access to your computer than moderator settings.

Well its not that big of a deal. You can disable it conpletely when youre not playing. On the other hand anti cheat always do stuff like that (uhuk denyuvo uhuk). Not only chinese anti cheat. But media bias is always there ;)
@@CuteLittleLily I know Easy Anti Cheat and Denuvo Anti Cheat for Doom do the same thing, but they at least activate and deactivate after you're done playing the game. Here it's literally starting up at boot and you can't just reeenable it afaik. You can, but you apparently have to rrestart your computer to play it. How fucked up is that?
I don't think old generation cs players would shift to valorant as it's too geeky and all those perks and stuff feels kinda childish to me if valorant introduces a game mode with just raw competitive gameplay like cs that would be great

The maps are garbage. The system in which they allow players to push up the map during spawn time is kinda dumb. It makes many parts of the map obsolete, it makes timing awkward, and it concentrates most of the fighting into a few spots making things less interesting. Not only that but the design is atrocious. It's like the same idea copy pasted with nothing defining about any map. CSGO has better map design, they utilize elevation better, underpasses, and more strategically placed angles. In Valorant either everything is open af or it's a narrow hallway with one area to aim.

I've been playing Cs for a long time now and I'm just glad that Cs got a competitor which hopefully will result in more and bigger updates.

@Aim ye the character abilities make it fun. And its made by riot games so you know the characters will be unique balanced and fun to play.
Not so free to play when their spyware is installed at the Kernel, making your PC extremely vulnerable if exploited.

I would play this game if the anti cheat was not loaded up on start up. The anti cheat is a ring 0 kernel that means it has full access to your computer
Stupid reason to be honest. There are many software applications that run at this level that you likely trust, an application doesn't need this level of access to get your data, and if you're scared of governments stealing your data they already can and will do this without the need for Vanguard. If you're also so concerned, stay off the internet, you're much more vulnerable there.
@@higglyjuff The problem is that the trusted applications are made by companies that have no way to hand over your data to the Chinese government. Valorant is made by Riot Games, which is majorly owned by Tencent, a Chinese Company, and if Tencent gets access to any of your data, the Chinese government can and likely will force Tencent to hand it over to them.

There’s a huge risk that a malware can be created to hack the anti-cheat program and manipulate the root access for its own purposes, in which case the China angle doesn’t matter, the unknown third-party that creates the malware is the dangerous problem.
You could turn it off on launch via rask manager but OK =/?
The main problem is the Vanguard anti-cheat since it runs at kernel level 0, which means you put yourself in a huge risk of losing your computer/getting hacked.
Then just delete vanguard every time you not playing its simple and take no time to install

Skipping this game until they’ll drop the Vanguard anti-cheat system. There’s no excuse for allowing any non-essential program to gain access to a computer’s Kernel level, it’s a major security risk.

When I used to play CS:GO I had this exact same problem. Then I got into the community hosted side of CS:GO and I could play that for hours on end.

Don’t download this game. The anti cheat downloads a root kit into your computer’s kernel giving it administrator controls. This is a very serious security flaw that makes this game way to dangerous to download

This game isn't for everyone and thats okay. Its for people who love competitive gameplay and climbing ranks, its okay to not like the look of it but still respect the fact that its a good game for its genre and as someone who has put 1200 hours into CSGO i can tell you that this is absolutely a good game for its genre.
Its essentially CSGO but with 'hero' based gameplay and a bunch of QOL improvements, new twists and innovations and it has a fair (although fairly pricey (but it is F2P so ill give that a pass)) monetization model as well as being developed by ex CSGO pro players and map designers. If you love CSGO i absolutely recommend giving this a try.

What about the anticheat valorant have which wants access to the ring 0 (highest security level) that can literally do anything with your data present on your pc. And riot is owned by Tencent which is a Chinese company and as per Chinese government rules, the government can order these companies to give all the user data to them.

I feel its important to point out that the anti cheat in this game has access to hardware on the kernel level for the pc version.. this means there's almost nothing that the game doesn't have access to on your PC. I love popcorn as much as the next guy but if you care about your privacy it may be worth giving this one a pass.

Ya love the game, but it's super unnerving. Got the beta and the release and the anti cheat is ALWAYS on. Cant play if it doesn't boot up with your computer. Its less demanding than other shooters for mine, but I see a lot of people saying their computers crashed bc of it.

Idk, I play a lot of CSGO but I can't get myself to get into games with graphics like Overwatch and Valorant. They're just a huge turn-off.
IMPORTANT:
The anti cheat called vanguard is a root file. Which means it can access anything on your computer. My pc has already got a blue screen from the anti cheat. The file is called vgk.sys. Also it activates as soon as you turn on your pc. WARNING DOWNLOAD AT OWN RISK⚠️

This game just like CS encourages camping…I’ll take war zone or battlefield over this any day. Being good and aggressive in those games is much more rewarding

Great game but can break pcs. BSOD for me. So uninstalled. And the performance is still not 100% smooth in 200 + fps in 144hz screen

@@StormX24 It practically is a rip off of csgo (and some overwatch) though. It may be an alright game, but the obvious similarities in concept and gameplay can still be acknowledged by anyone.
What I instantly liked about the game:
1. Instant, clear and useful GUI. Everything from the menu's allowing you to check you last match chile queing to the real time mini-map and forgivable buy phase menu. It all makes the game feel intuitive and easy.
2. Nice, bright graphics. Honestly, I would take this game over CS:GO just because of this if everything else was similar. Just watching Valorant maps and characters compared to the CS:GO inspiration makes the game feel much nicer. It also makes it very clear who is who by the different character designs, helping you gues their roles as well as easily knowing which teammates are which.
3. Good matchmaking system with rewarding ranks, anti-AFK and dropout systems as well as in-game voice chat with an easy setting which makes it fun to play even without friends.
These qualities are just so awesome. Put together they create a perfect mix that I enjoy playing despite me not being into shooter games. Who cares about rippof of gameplay - that is basically what almost every new game does. I care about the feel of the game as a whole, and I can only rate Valorant as a 5/5.
PS: not having expensive skins make it so rewarding to steal the weapon of your fallen enemy.

Yesterday i downloaded it after all cause of my friends and i deleted it after like 1 match (we won) cause if your monitor res is 2560×1080 than the game can't fill it up but the main menu and the loading screen can

in the beginning the gun play feels odd af. Once you get used to the mechanics, it's a quite satisfying game

Well its not that big of a deal. You can disable it conpletely when youre not playing. On the other hand anti cheat always do stuff like that (uhuk denyuvo uhuk). Not only chinese anti cheat. But media bias is always there ;)

Here it's literally starting up at boot and you can't just reeenable it afaik. You can, but you apparently have to rrestart your computer to play it. How fucked up is that?

I know they aren’t great at games like csgo but the crosshair placement on the floor and the lack of spray control and the fact that he was straight up running while spraying makes this hard to watch
The maps are garbage. The system in which they allow players to push up the map during spawn time is kinda dumb. It makes many parts of the map obsolete, it makes timing awkward, and it concentrates most of the fighting into a few spots making things less interesting.
Not only that but the design is atrocious. It's like the same idea copy pasted with nothing defining about any map. CSGO has better map design, they utilize elevation better, underpasses, and more strategically placed angles. In Valorant either everything is open af or it's a narrow hallway with one area to aim.
