First romantic film I’ve watched several times! Acting is so natural it seemed real. Dialogue is amazingly sensual, captivating! A real love story I’d have loved to experience myself. I’m 81 years old man who only experienced those strong, sublime, feelings once in a lifetime!!! The only film came dramatically close was “Gone with the wind” in my humble opinion. There was another film that touched my soul, don’t remember the name but Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift were part of the cast… during the American Civil War. This version of “Pride and Prejudice” will endure for years to come!!! I congratulate those involved in its making and the actors made it so believable! Thank You. 🙏 Grade it A-1
I never understood what all the women at work were constantly talking about; they said that I just wouldn’t get it, being a man. Having already seen Keira Knightley in the movie Love Actually, I thought she had real acting chops and was a knockout visually. I rented the DVD of Pride and Prejudice and after one viewing ordered the DVD for my own collection. Everything about the film from the cinematography and the music to the casting and wardrobe is completely spot on. Without a doubt Knightley deserved the Oscar for her performance.
what i like about Bridgerton is the emphasis on the scary cultural reality that breeding is all the girls are for ... society combined with biological imperatives and medical limitations of the time creates a situation where it's best to marry them off as teenagers to insure bloodline. the heirs were needed not just to protect immediate family , but to protect the whole societal structure underneath, each time the lords died or titles and property passed onto other families, it was a big disruption in whole communities.
oh certainly. .. am fan of both no doubt that bridgerton is the p.c. version of this 😀😀👌❤ beautiful bridgerton family with both boys and girls and mother seemingly not as desperate to marry off the girls and going on about love but at same time, illustrating the cultural reality that high society girls are made for breeding 100% and must be married off at good breeding age.
Keira was such a perfect Elizabeth. Brilliant casting

Bridgerton needs to bow down to this movie.
His expression of his love when they were on the moor is my FAVORITE scene of the entire movie. But it is my FAVORITE MOVIE ever
I never tire of watching these clips! 💕

Exactly!!! Bridgerton who?
Haaaaaayyyyyyy, esta película es, un suspiro.
Darcy, piękny aktor głos osoba
Darcy >>>>>>>> all Bridgerton men
But Darcy is an actual gentleman, not a Bridgerton gentleman 😂
She is the perfect Lizzie. My time machine choice would be a very young Audrey Hepburn.
