This scene is cinematic BRILLIANCE! No producer could have done better! Also, the scene under the gazebo in the rain, when they were just nano seconds from a kiss, after the blistering exchange! Great movie, with little or no acclaim! Sad really!
Isn't it wonderful to watch a film that has no gratuitous sex scenes or foul language. I think we're all fed up with those forms of entertainment. Beautifully done, good actors, costumes etc. I've watched P&P hundreds of times, and never get fed up.❤❤🎉
This was the first version of Pride and Prejudice I ever saw and so it will continue to be my favorite. I did see the BBC version and I liked it but there is something about Matthew MacFadyen that Colin Firth never could quite do for me (sacrilegious to some, I know)
yes, it was a small mistake for a great movie, but ultimately it’s a distraction because one would assume that someone who hasn’t slept would have a more natural appearance!
I love I love I love Matthew MacFayden as Darcy. The most incredible proposal of all, I hold my breath every single time I watch it.
Me to. No one speaks like that now so lovely wow 💕💕💕
Donald Sutherland great dad,he thought no one deserved her❤
You can say that again. That's how parents should be like to their kids.
Same 🥹
I didn't when I was younger but now that I'm older I totally see why they casted him. Very handsome, very demure.
This scene is one of the best scenes in movie history
A cinematic masterpiece in every way. We can't stop being bowled over by it over 20 years later…

It’s amazing isn’t it how so much passionate tension can be displayed with zero kissing?!! I just love this!!
I have dvd I play it when ever I fell down so great 💕💕💕
And the music!
i am so glad they inncluded the last scene instead of darcy's and elizabeth's kiss... this is so much more emotional and romantic
This is one of the most beautiful movies ever!
My absolute favorite P&P! Matthew MacFayden is my favorite Darcy, and I love Donald Sutherland in this role!
“I could not have parted with you, my Lizzie, for anyone less worthy.” What a wonderful way to say that…
Everything is so beautiful here... I guess it was close to sunrise. They probably couldn't sleep well the day before... had each other on their minds.
This is the best episode of most beautiful movies ever! ❤

Donald Sutherland was casting genius.
This is the most all encompassing romantic love declaration of all time... aaaaaahhhh!

That is the best proposal I have ever seen ❣️
THIS 2005 VERSION OF "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" MAKES THE NOVEL A REAL CLASSIC NOVEL
Perfect father-daughter relationship. He adores her so much, and will not hand his beloved daughter to anyone even for money.
He bewitched me... 😢
Каждая сцена - шедевр, смотрю и пересматриваю, переживаю, как в первый раз, игра актеров безупречна, как и их подбор
Настоящие искренние чувства к любимой, достойны восхищения.
Фильм можно смотреть неоднократно.
🥰☺️🥳
I cane here for the witty, longing comments I always find with these videos, but, alas, I am too early.
Ah, if he tells me that, how would I react?!
After this proposal she should have said - But I'm barely tolerable 😂
Any tip on how to stop rewatching this movie? Anyone?
Yeah, Get Yourself A Mr. Darcy.
No tips Just go with it. 😊
Elizabeth’s father in this version 🥺
Прекрасные актёры!❤❤❤
My favorite movie along with Brooklyn starring Saoirse Ronan
I love this scene but why did they make her up so much and he looks natural.

1:15 The statement.
We are all fools in love!
Ahh lovely 🥰

Men have to be convinced and so you would know he is of substance.
*sigh*

Colin Firth is the only Mr. Darcy
Never understood the horrible hair dues in this adaption.
