If you're on the market for some new football boots, odds are that you're not considering anything from New Balance, but maybe you should be. They've had their ups and downs in the football boot world over the last few years, but their latest model, in my opinion at least, is the best they've ever done!
In today's video we take a closer look at the new New Balance 442 V2, in the limited edition Gold colorway! It features a full kangaroo leather upper, new soleplate tooling, a surprisingly lightweight design, and all for just $130! This might sound crazy, but I think these are arguably better than anything currently on offer from Nike, Adidas or Puma, and at a significantly cheaper price! How is that possible? I really hope your video helps NB sell more product. These look great and I would love for Nb to become a strong competition that pushes the big 3 to making cheaper releases/more innovative products

This boot actually looks sick and love the gold. I’m also a leather boot fan boy as I have wide feet and they don’t look bulky at all. Big fan of these, would’ve bought if I still played 😂

Looks like a mizuno upper on an adidas Ace 16.1 soleplate ! These look awesome. Im liking conical studs alot more for natural grass we play spring and fall and the ground is super mushy and grass is taller the bladed studs on mercs get stuck and I actually feel slower making cuts than in conicals
This boot caught my eye from an add I saw on IG. And of course Josh already has a review on it.. boot looks legit. Might cop. Usually wear tiempos . The fact that these weight less than the vapors is mind blowing to me. I’m sold

One of your best videos. This NB takes me back of the Joma Granada (around 2012 I think). People slept on it because it wasn’t Nike or Adidas, but it was a full k-leather boot, with their top of the line plate at a ridiculous low price relative to other brand’s tier down models. Plus if I remember correctly, Joma was the first to have a one piece k-leather boot, the total fit, which was awesome as well. Since Joma is now more of a dinosaur skin, synthetic, focused company, these NB are totally filling that gap.
I saw these come out and thought okay they look cool but was curious about their quality and was wondering if you'd bother to review them or not; glad ypu did I'm gonna give them a shot

Getting back in shape to play for the first time in years. Really wanted something familiar. These fit the bill. Going to grab a pair while I work my way back to become a Sunday league master.

Based on the Japanese market version, they make the best boots in Japan all leather , light and look amazing, puma para Mexico, puma 1, Nike superligera, Umbro accelerator, kappa gladitore, Hummel, Mizuno , asics, and ofcourse these. 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Been using the furons but walk around in the indoor version of these for street shoes. Didn’t click in my brain until now that I could just play in fg versions of my street shoe. Immediate buy for guys like me with very wide feet.
The styling reminds me of how boots use to be like 10 years ago. The Mizuno Rebula Cup also kinda does that. Looks like New Balance released the Legend 7 Pro regen.

It would be great if the Tekela line gets on the same quality level the Furon and these appear to be, they were going on the right direction and they decided to go only laceless. Hopefully the market value with the amount of sales they deserve

I just bought a pair of the 442 v2 and so far am impressed. I have wide feet so I got the wide variation and they feel really comfortable, can’t wait to play with them. Love the videos Keep up the good work.

We know perfectly well that the NB is able to create great football shoes. The 442 set the bar very high and found the right direction for itself! There is probably a large group of players for whom the mizunos were too narrow. Thanks New Balance, thanks Josh.

I have always been a new balance football boot person and my favourite boot at the moment is the new balance furon v7 pro but this one might be my new favourite boot. The gold looks stunning but I think the silver and copper looks a little bit better.

I got this pairs of football boots and in Academy they were for 90$ because of a discount, and they really feel really good, especially for wider foot. I think this are the best football boots I have bought and wear.
I currently have copa sense in a 10.5 UK size and they're a good fit but usually a 10 UK in normal shoes. Unsure on whether to order the 442 pros in a UK 10 or 10.5, if you could advise on how the fit was? Thanks mate

I have a pair of these, best cleats I’ve ever owned, use the black and white pair for reffing and Sunday league. Always get a lot of comments on them also.

Anyone know if the wide variation are wide enough for 4E wide feet and if the sole plates are decently wide?
These boots have been great, it has made me a more confident player, however the padding for the heels have given me gnarly blisters on both feet, and only after about 3 weeks the toe has started to separate from the sole plate. The boots overall though feel great and I’m content with them.
What do you suggest over NB boots?

Do they have an AG (artificial grass) version? I am having a hard time finding AG boots especially since I want to avoid a knee injury on field turf. Thank you!
The studs are conical so you can use them on AG. They don't seem too long either which is also important for AG.
I'm in Australia and got a pair of these in black about a month ago. They are good boots but have 2 major flaws
1. Heel lock down isn't great you can use the extra lace hole but then it becomes uncomfortable over the top of the foot.
2. In the wet they just fill up with water. Never had a boot that make your feet as wet as these.
From what I can find these boots were only unveiled less than 2 weeks ago, even from checking the tags on NB’s Instagram and checking their news release listing, so curious how you’ve had them about a month

I just walked into my sports store and they were on the shelf and I got them. I did look them up on line at the time and couldn't find anything. The week later I went back in store and they were no longer on shelf...
Maybe they got them before release date I don't know. If you don't believe it it's no skin off my nose but the are the 2 flaws I found.

its a great shoe but you have to be carefull choosing size if you want them. I ordered them online but I recommend you to try them on first or else the same thing as me will happen to you.

Legend 4 and 5 wouldn’t be a bad comparison. Not exactly the same of course, be certainly a similar idea and layout.
