You probably did, but I’m one of those old guys who didn’t have any kids, or grandkids to show them how to use a computer properly. I can’t even find where to look for a description of your video on my iPad, and definitely not while watching UA-cam on my TV. The old timer that owns my local hobby town said he has a y harness for me but, I don’t think he realizes I’m going to be using a dual fan. I’ll figure it out from here. I’ll probably just splice one fan , to another, then go from there. Thanks again for all the great work you do. You almost got me to build a limitless…lol. That may be in the future

well done for your video. question ..... does the fan affect the speed of the car? I mean because it consumes electricity, this has a negative effect on the speed of a car;
These are just Yeah Racing, when I ordered yeah Racing, they came from Power Hobby, so they are just selling the same thing badged with their name now.
Actually, its same principle as a radiator fan. It's supposed to suck air away from the heat sink. Not onto it. The heatsink draws heat out of motor and fans pull air through and away from heatsink. I've got a 5channel receiver so I can plug directly into channel 4and 5. The red and black line up directly in my limitless. Best results with 10mm spacers and air blowing out and away.
That is the same setup that I put into my Summit, I like it, but those fans are loud (since it's not any louder than the vehicle itself, I don't really care).
just to let you know, the instructions say those orange spacers can be placed between the fans and the heatsink for extra cooling or better air flow, i bolted my fans directly onto heatsink like you though.
Hey JT, I’ve been subscribed to your channel for about 5 years, (when I got into RC’s), and I love your videos. Forgive me, I am an idiot, I do know the part number on that fan, as it is in my shopping cart now, but I don’t know the part number for the y harness, that I will need to plug both fans into the BLX185 esc, (on my v3 6s talion). I want to use the stock esc fan, as well as the 2 power hobby motor fans, all 3 plugged into the side of the BLX185 esc, (which is where the stock esc fan is getting power from now). I hope that makes sense.
Why do the fans blow toward the heat sink?? I just installed mine on my stock mojave motor and with logos facing up so you can see them, and the air is moving toward the heat sink?! Is this correct for best cooling? I assumed every other heatsink/fan combo has the air flow directed away from the heat sink. I can't say honestly if it made a difference in cooling with it set up like that. I don't have a temp gun to prove that though. Motor was too hot to touch with this kit installed after 45 mins of mostly flat out fun.
JayTee...why does the link to the "Y" connector show a brown, orange, yellow? wire when you said make sure the red, black, white wires on the "Y" connector get hooked up right to the JST connectors. That link you have to buy the "Y" connector from Amazon what colors are that "Y" connector?
Will these fit on a typhon 6s. I’m worried about the body having clearance. I’ve had trouble trying to run two 3s batteries, they fit in the tray just fine, but there’s no way to get the body on? So been running a single 6s pk..
It’s funny nvm I actually took a screen shot on ur video and got the part number so I put it into amazon and it’s coming January 3rd until then I’m going to bring my pinion down to a 19 t and figure out a way to add some holes in the body ( if u have any tips on that it would be greatly appreciated) and just take it easy w the street bashing because I already burnt out an ecs I didn’t know there was a thermal shut down I changed the batteries and went back on it hard. That being said thanks and every little hint helps. Side note: I’m getting my kraton 8s tomorrow. I was told it was coming nov 25 th ha the wait has been killing me. I’ve been watching a lot of videos on making it faster and what not can u do a video w a piñon change I believe they made it a little different using a bearing and an e clip not to sure ??thanks again
Looks exactly like yeah racing's, if it is I have 2 of them. One on a monster slash and another on a talion with a hobbystar 4092 can motor and keeps that girl cool for multiple packs
@@paulclancy2404 my reciever is a 5 channel and I hook each up to their own channel... I haven't had an amperage issue yet. Again, mine is the yeah racing version and the stock fans where changed out for their "tornado"(I think) fans which seem to have a lil more umph than the originals. I had a stick get stuck under my body and it had ripped the original wires and broke the fan motor from its plastic housing. Up till that point they had worked alright, but the new ones did drop my temps about 5°F.. But to answer you question, I dont run a BEC on my arrma and the slash only has one for the servo since it's a HV model and my quikrun ESC doesn't have a HV option.
i hook this up to my arrma kraton 6s and i notice that one fan stops and start every couple minutes. do anybody know why that is? can the blx handle two 6v fans? im using a y-harness and a spektrum sr2100 receiver.
Nice video jt 👍 some good info 😎
The spacers go under the fans to allow them room to actually building up more wind it shows it in the instructions.
There's only 4 of them and 2 fans with 4 screw holes.....don't add up friend
It's true though. They are spacers for the fans. It does show it in the directions and should definitely be 4 more spacers.

I think they updated it because mine came with the Y cable 👀 just FYI
Nice install
Thank you, man!
Excellent video on how this fan works. Do you know if it will fit my Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion Pro? Keep up the great work!

Fans should actually not be blowing out to you, it should be blowing in onto the motor, no?

@@miken8778 Yeah I realized that after I installed them. They do not sit right on the heat sink with the fans blowing onto the motor.

Fans sound powerful 👊

Great video 👍👍
Would I need this cables recommended in your video to install this same kit on arrma Mojave 1/7 6s
does it fit onto vilenium motors? slash 4x4 fox edition

Put them on my mojave and nothing, I plugged them into the aux port of the receiver, do I have something wrong?
Not a hundred percent sure you may have got a bad set of fans. Contact them and have them send you a replacement I guess?
Also wondering if these fans will alow you to run the high speed pinion with out the worries of overheating?
Like the videos thank you ,, typhon 6s must have lol 🚀
Will this fit the 6s typhon?
@@marctoscanini7225 it only fits 40mm motors so measure yours or find the measurements then do it

I think the one I used here plugs into the receiver and then has two connections going out. Did I put a link in the description?
You put the fans the wrong way... They are supposed to blow the cool air to the motor, not suck it in from the motor
It actually depends on ambient temperature as if the summer or winter.
Will these fit on the kraton 8s motor? And are they powerful enough to keep it cool?

Whay is the best (Brand, model) heatsink + fan combo for my Mojave?..
This right here 😁
What fans fit the hobby wing 1650 motor?... diameter is 49mm
What’s up man I’m gonna buy this set up where can I get that Y adapter wire for the duel fans to plug into the receiver box.
