I like this radio it's a BIG.. and for air band my current location is in Alabama well it's right in line of commercial airlines coming and going on 126.828 I get all traffic from ZTL Atlanta Center. They can be 41k in the air it's so loud at times it's like they are right next to you talking..strong and clear audio from plane to tower vise versa so my Ats 909x2 is the biggest radio I have with air band I listen to it quite a lot just on Ariel on radio I don't need an external ty for your information sir.. Alabamared256 a wavin!!
Great video. I have this radio, and my S meter behaves the same way. One thing my radio has been doing is that its been randomly jumping frequencies. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?
@@OfficialSWLchannel Thank you. And also appreciate you mentioning it in the review. I have the PL990 and H-501 and love playing podcasts through them. Too bad the 2000x does not have that. Listening to podcasts on a large radio truly elevates the experience. I have the Grundig 750 and totally agree with your assessment of its flaws. The wider bandwidth is basically useless. Love the formfactor however so the 2000x is still tempting. If it had bluetooth I would probably get it for sure.
As I commented in another video, the s-meter is just reflecting the digital signal readout and the two change simultaneously... It's totally unusable in manual scanning...
Thanks for the video brilliant I have had for the last 17years ,jrc 545 can you suggest something a little bit more modern? I’ve said that I would never get rid of my JRC just wondered if you could suggest anything I started radio in 1978. Thanks again love the videos George in England UK. 😂👍🇬🇧
Honestly that JRC is great and a modern radio will not give you more, but there are a few options .. maybe something very different ... a SDR like the SDRplay RSPdx or Airspy HF+ Discovery

It is ok but nothing special
Can you connect your phone to it by Bluetooth like you can with 990x and H-501?
No Bluetooth on this radio
