I have the same radio but called the ETON 750, love the looks, still building outdoor antenna system and waiting for coax connectors. Radio seems to be NOT sold anymore, discontinued ??? I got mine from Amazon over a year ago. Haven't really used that much so not really sure of what it can do, will play more when I get ext antenna up and my MFJ595C antenna tuner hooked to it.
Another early reviewer of this radio needed to calibrate the radio to get best reception. I'm not saying yours is off calibration, but you might want to check the manual and run the calibration steps for good measure. Cheers!
Where do you live? I can get that Nashville station really strong here in Wisconsin sometimes and other times not at all. The WRMI frequencies from Okeechobee are almost always strong here no matter what time of the day. Same with Radio Marti from Greenville, SC.
This is a universal all-wave receiver that perfectly receives on short waves, in addition to broadcasting stations, also radio amateurs, airline crews over the oceans, maritime communications, military, weather stations and more. There is none of that in this video review
I am not very well versed in shortwave, I was a CB'er years ago. Never went beyond that. However this example had nothing from Europe. My only radio interest is 2-way communication, and possibly listening to European 1-way broadcasts that I might be able to translate with my minimal foreign language knowledge. Is shortwave not something that would fit my parameters?
There are many variables that effect shortwave listening. Things such as location of your receiving radio, time of day, etc. Right now the weather conditions at my location have not been ideal especially solar. There are a large number of stations in Europe to listen to. The best way to try is using other people radios that are on the internet. Websites such as Kiwi SDR is one of many. See my other videos on these.
I'm disappointed with Tecsun's incremental upgrades over its previous S-2000. Why does the external looks have to look exact like the vintage Grundig Satelit 750? Tecsun could have at least changed to a wider LCD display, offer adjustable backlit illumination colors (many handheld ham transceivers are able to do that!) or even replace the LCD panel with a color TFT one that could show an intermediate frequency waterfall display like the Malahit DSP SDRs could. *Note to Tom:* Tecsun always supplies the cheapest lithium ion batteries it can get. These often fall short of their true capacity when diagnosed with specialized battery chargers like the Liitokala M4 and XTAR VC4SL, which can perform a capacity test. That blue 2600 mAH OEM battery that Tecsun includes is considered "substandard" by flashlight and vaping enthusiasts and can't handle high constant currents. I have one from my PL-990 and my high lumen, Wurkkos and Sofirn flashlights behaved erratically when I tried that 18650 cell that came from Tecsun. At this time of writing, only XTAR and VapCell brands make *true* 4,000 mAH 18650 cells. Neither are exactly cheap, but if it means being able to power the S-2200x for many more hours before that battery indicator drops to the 2/3rds mark, they may be worth the money. 🙂
I know this is a great radio. I just can't justify a purchase right now. Thank you for the vid and taking the time to make it and upload it. !!

This is not the same radio. Tecsun has completely redesigned a brand new radio and put it in the same enclosure as your Eton 750.

@@hamrad88 That partially answers me, but what about 2-way????
@rayrussell6258 2 way are on different frequencies.
@@hamrad88 but is it on shortwave?
How does it work through the radio you just bought?
or does it require different equipment?
@@rayrussell6258 if you want two way, you have to use different equipment.
Why did Tecsun feel compelled to include an airplane on the "AIR" button?
