Hello Ma’am,thank you su much for updating everything regarding Mrcp, I still have confusion that after clearing MRCP do we need to go under residency of MRCP (MD) or we are equivalent to MD directly after passing the MRCP¿
Hi Janvi
I would't say MRCP is equivalent to MD as MD is a 3 year residency programme where as MRCP is a degree. I am making a video on MRCP vs MD soon. Please keep watching this space.

Hi mam ..... HEALTHY NEW YEAR.........It is really so insightful .......THANKS ALOT REALLY..
QUERY:: You mentioned " It is desirable to have 2years of clinical experience before applying for paces" ........ Is that 2years after internship or including internship????
Definitely Shashi kanth. In the UK interns are treated as independent doctors so the internship year definitely counts as clinical experience.
Mam actually I recently decided couple of days before to get into U.K....unfortunately all the plab 1 seats for whole 2022 got filled....
For a person like me who completed mbbs recently i.e 2021...According to present situations.. is it better to go for MRCP route... need your valuable advice mam,... THANK YOU....
Hi Shashi kanth
I would suggest start your MRCP journey only if you are sure you want to do Medicine or allied branches like critical care. With PLAB you are more flexible to change your career path.
You can definitely start preparing for MRCP if you want to do Medicine. Try to gain clinical experience as you go along . All the best.

Is it possible to pass PACES without working in the NHS first?
How do doctors from outside UK get to practice on patients for PACES?
Hi Maryam
Definitely it is possible. You can practice on patients in your hospital as long as you find suitable cases.
Hello Mam. This video was very clear and informative. I'm interested in taking the exam in future. Can you give us some idea regarding MRCP-2 and USMLE Step 2 CK? I mean the student who has done STEP 2 CK will they be able to pass that exam without extra reading or these two exams are very different and MRCP-2 will need advanced knowledge for that?
Hi
I will be honest with you. I should not give you advice on an exam I haven't done. but I would say chose either USMLE or MRCP. If your concepts of medicine are clear you will be able to pass either exams very easily. All the best for your preparation.

I have a doubt, I have completed my MD Biochemistry. How can I get job in UK ? After passing MRCP , will I be able to opt for same specialisation there ?

You would have to look for careers in metabolic medicine or chemical pathology. For MRCP, you would need to have substantial experience in clinical medicine.
Please, I want to know when the confirmation of reply of place of exam international center ,the confirmation ?
Great video 👍😊

hello Ma'am. thank you for such a clear video. I just have one question; I have completed my Mbbs and done with internship I also have 2 years post internship experience in a clinic as GP and have worked in several Private hospitals. if I wish to pursue MRCP. can I take all 3 steps, or do I need 2 years' experience in Internal medicine as M.O or trainee?
also, if I do 2 years MCPS training in any medicine allied program such as Pulmonology can would it count as 2-year experience?

As soon as a candidate finishes internship, they are eligible for MRCP .With your clinical experience you can most definitely attempt the exam.

Hi
After passing all 3 steps.
Hello mam thank you for this amazing video
Please clarify my doubts mam.
1. I am an indian and I graduated in china. I have done my internship in india. Am I eligible to apply mrcp after internship?
Hi Nithish
Definitely you will be eligible after internship.
Hi
Could you please guide me regarding the attestation of primary medical qualification? Who should attest it ? Is it needed if you already have GMC registration?
Hi Jitty
This video talks in details about who can attest the PMQ . It is an essential criteria for MRCP .
Hello ma’am, in this video you spoke about the one year clinical experience is mandatory. So I am a fmge and I have to do two years of internship in India so does this internship counts in clinical experience or not.
Yes, it does. However, to pass PACES you would need substantial clinical experience in medicine.
How to prepare which stuff we have to use
Hi mam . For the date of PMQ , do we put the date of passing final year or the date on the medical degree certificate issued by the college . My date of passing final exam is 30.12.2019 and my PMQ was issued on 11.12.2021 . I understand we would have to email the MBBS degree certificate as the PMQ so which date would be the right one to put for me?
You should put the date as 30.12.2019 which is the final exam pass date.
Hello ma'am, you mentioned one should appear in paces after 36 months, is that from part I pass or from completion of graduation?
Hi Prosenjit
This should be after graduation.
Hi ma'am. When do we submit the attested primary medical qualification. After creating an account or When the application for exam opens?
Hi Akansha
You have to submit after the application window opens, and after you have filled up the application form alongwith payment of fees.
Ma’m since indian degree certificates are issued post internship, is the degree certificate issued good enough for PMQ or should we submit the internship completion certificate as well ?
Degree ceritificate is what you need to submit.

So can u elaborate about this?if I have my personal clinic in my town or I have govt job in my country,so would this clinical experience would b counted or we would have to get experience by doing training in UK?
Hi Sana
Yes, this is definitely counted as clinical experience.
Is the questions asked different as they ask in neet pg...i mean do we have to study separately for mrcp?
Yes, the question pattern is quite different but NEET PG preparation will aid in your MRCP study revision.

Last few year I m not able to get slot due COVID
I m already 7 th year since part 1

How can we ask for that
What ur advice one should apply to indian centre or uk for better success

Hi Devi
Last year the RCP mentioned that they were relaxing the 7 year rule as they were aware of the delays in PACES examination because of COVID. The best way to find out is to email RCP and explain your situation. I am sure you will find a slot soon as many of my subscribers have managed to get a PACES slot in India this year.
I would suggest taking the exam in India; attempt in UK only if you manage to get NHS experience either through MTI or clinical attachments.

Exam fees are mentioned in the video. For theory exam the main resources that you need to get is a question bank subscription, either Passmedicine or Pastest. The cost depends on the duration on your subscription, check their individual websites. For PACES , course fees are roughly 1400 GBP.
Hello mam ! Writing mrcp from india completing all 3 exam of mrcp from india, is it easy to get specialty training or hard to get mam, like cardiology or nephrology???
Hi Mehtab
Entering speciality training like cardio . nehpro etc is quite competitive but if you work hard you will definitely be able to do this. It is essential to get NHS experience before ST training so it would be a good idea to work in the NHS in a non training job before ST application. All the best
Ma’am can I write mrcp part 1 after house surgeoncy/internship? Or does it require any work experience? Please please reply.
As mentioned in this video, you can apply after internship.
Mam can you please inform me, approximately how much time required to complete total MRCP journey for a mediocre student?
Is it difficult to get a PG training post in uk after completing MRCP outside uk?
Niamat
Total MRCP journey would roughly take you two to 3 years deoending on your preparation , commitment to exams and exam slot availabilty.
For IMT training (similar to MD),you don't need full MRCP but MRCP is must for ST training ( which is equivalent to DM). You would need to have substantial clinical, research and leadership experience to get into training; all these are achievable with the right mentorship and planning.

Hi Ali
I will not recommend giving up clinical practice to prepare for the exam, if your aim is to work in the UK after MRCP. The reason is that when you apply for a job, your CV may not get selected if you have substantial career gaps.
I have a little confusion
You mean to Say to appear for MRCP part 2 and Paces
One only need to pass MRCP-1..thats it…
Having 2 years clinical experience is desirable as it helps alot but its not necessary for appearing in mrcp 2 and paces

As mentioned here, two years clinical experience is not mandatory but it is strongly recommended before appearing for PACES.
