I just used “goo gone” and it took the anti-reflective coating right off with ease. Then I rinse the lenses off under the faucet and wiped with a paper towel and they’re like new now.
@@geropubgm8565I just used goo gone and it worked!!!!!! Omg I was so excited. I soaked my glasses in it for 10 minutes at a time (2x). I then dipped a rag in hot water with some soap and scrubbed the glasses. They look brand new and super clear. No scratches or anything. I hope this helps you.☺️
I have an expensive pair of glasses that the coating had started to come off on both the front and back, soaked them for 10 min in isopropyl alcohol and salt and then used a plastic disc to scrape off the film on both sides, worked perfectly, takes a bit of effort but it is worth it, they are so much better now, just keep going and it definitely works
I confirm it works with the toothpaste and the toothbrush. 2 pairs of glasses were fixed just now, and the vision is crystal clear. Thank you, and cheers!
Rubbing only make more scratches. There is good way to remove coating of your glasses. Glass etching cream is perfect. Only spread it just 5~7minute. Perfectly coating will be removed.
Only use etching cream for plastic lenses. Use 90% Isopropal alcohol with a little bit of water for glass lenses, soak for a up to an hour, then use a soft plastic scraper to remove the anti-glare coating. Works perfectly.
I used abit of automotive compound to clean up any more scratches after removing the coating. Works good but can see where you missed when you do this.
I used toothpaste, mustard with vinegar, and salt water, and scratched the lenses but did not come off. What finally removed the coat entirely was the sink-unblocker. I left them 5 mins soaked in water and sink-unblocker and softly rubbed the coating off with a Qtip, then soaked them in baking soda to remove the acid. Use gloves for this one.
Is the reflective thing what you call coating? Cause I bought some pretty cheap glasses just for taking pics and it reflects the screen and light that's why they can't see my eyes and just look rlly ugly how do j fix it please help me
Real glass I'd assume. As they weren't cheap when I got them. My eye sight is so bad that they need to be upgraded to the be the thinnest option possible. Hence I wasn't keen on replacing them just because the anti-glare coating was coming off.
@@NeonWatermelonJoy if they were glass or plastic they would be cheap and thick if they got thinnest they could and got you in the Butte on price then they would be polycarbonate
@@bryaneudy3410 I have really bad eyesight which requires a very thick glass lense....so instead I got polycarbonate lenses which is plastic. They can make them very thin and barely weigh anything.
@@deanah3414 Yep, Zenni's are polycarbonate (even the $6.95 ones, great deal, been using them for over 10 years, love it, $23 total for 3 full glasses incl anti-glare/scratch in 2019).

crema de grabado de vidrio
the coating is on the inside as well as the outside so you have to do both sides
Use colgate with soft toothbrush or rub with fingers. It works
What type of Colgate

Thx, I was considering doing that as well...
Looks like it works, just don't give up is the key. 🔑
This is some good ASMR
I will definately try and see what happens my glasses are horrible and I need them tried contact lens but weren't strong enough
Were these glass or polycarbonate lenses?
I noticed that after brushing the lenses and the coating came off, the lenses now what appears to be brush marks, how do u remove those..
Google it. "how to remove fine scratches or clouding from uncoated eyeglass lenses"
Automotive rubbing compound works for some...

Not an acid....a base
Which sink unblocked did you use? Drano? Did you dilute it in water?

There is a film they put onto glasses (usually cost extra) that reduces glare. This video is to help us remove the film.
me too 😭😭😭
My glasses have a cloudy patch on them. Will this help mine you think?
Sounds similar to how mine were... They had cloudy patches in middle part of each lense. This cleared it off.
This is very helpful. Thank you.
I took the AR coating from my glasses by soaking them in ammonia then scrubbing them with two q tips.
Colgate scratched my lenses up I used dawn dish soap to cleanse it off
Yeah, have to be careful which kind of toothpaste to use... "Whitening" = bad, "tartar control" probably too... (?)

Mostly used Fiber Material..
Good toothbrush advertisement.
My exact glasses
Anti glare is such a bad investment after all.
Nice
those lenses are thicker than the bottom of shot glasses!!!
Yep! My eyesight is not good... That's why I don't want to pay for a new pair - as they are not cheap.
Holy cow, I thought my eyes were bad.....those aren't glasses, those are binoculars 😂😅
