I love that the BAFTAs give an award for casting coz i feel its one of, if not the most important job on a film and doesn't get nearly enough credit in other award shows as it should 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

New casting category: I like it! For those who question why a film with '3 actors' got the prize: there are probably over 20 speaking roles in "The Holdovers" and each one is PERFECT. The headmaster, the priest, Carrie Preston as Lydia, even the one-liner guy in the liquor store.

dominic sessa was one of the most perfect castings i’ve seen in recent years, and the trio of paul, dominic and devine was what made the film great
This was Dominic's first ever role. Did you feel like it while watching the movie? This award is for finding him.
@@rajarshighosh1857 when i think of best casting i think of dazed and confused or the godfather or clueless or oceans 11. any movie where every cast choice was perfect. paul has been an A+ actor for 30 years, payne probly picked up the phone and called him. no casting needed. but yes, dominic was very good in the movie. so 1 great casting decision and you get a bafta lol. cool
