      Yeah, and I suppose Rittenhouse walked free from court a fucking national hero? I wonder what his sentence would have been if Rittenhouse killed a black guy? Your American culture and mentality is a fucking mess, your gun culture is the laughing stock of the world, every week there are school murders by school kids, 17 year old Rittenhouse is a national hero! I just dont get why the 3rd guy in the Aubrey case is charged with murder, he had no idea what was going on really!? Ok he tried blocking his path, but he didn't communicate with them, nothing was planned before hand, and he had no idea a gun was going to appear, let alone be fired! The USA is a joke, a country still living in it's sad pathetic racist segregated passed! In the UK our police do not carry guns, our security Guards dont have guns, the guys who empty ATM dont have guns etc etc we dont have race issues like you, in the UK 2019 100 gun deaths, in USA 15,000! A country full of racist fucking gangster and cowboys ! "God bless America" "The land of the free" you lot are a fucking disgusting joke!

    The Prosecutor was simply astonishing. I have never seen someone handle a prosecution with such confidence. It was almost perplexing in parts. When the young McMurderer was in the witness box, she just asked him questions. He replied with lies and evasions, and with phrases his attorney had him memorize "given the totality of event" (he said it about 60 times). She didn't push back on any of his nonsense. She DID write some things he said, verbatim, on her big flip chart...but then made no reference to it. One was left thinking..is she just going to let him spout this crap?
    Then....she did her closing. And in her closing she showed how all the statements he made which she written down while he said them...proved he was guilty.
    She actually convicted him using his own words. So..SHE didn't need to make much of an argument. HE convicted himself.
    But it was incredible that she had sufficient insight into him and what he would say, that she knew it would all play out that way. It was like she was clairvoyant (which she isn't...I'm not a nutter....I leave that to those insane MAGAt so called "ministers").
    It was especially wonderful when she got MrMurderer to say that when he asked Mr Arbery to stop and "speak to him", that he was polite and spoke conversationally. Then she played the recording of the 911 call that Big Daddy McMurderer made from the truck. Why? Because in the background we could hear Travis screaming "stop right fucking now or I'll fucking kill you".
    It was a an ALL WHITE jury of locals. They convicted all three, all three white men. All three racist white men. Because, remember, after this, they faced their Federal Hate Crime charges, and their social media pasts were exposed. All full of streams of racist hate.
    They even said they'd plead guilty to the Hate Crime if they could live out their lives in Federal prisons....cause they know that Georgia prisons are a disgrace. Something that never bothered them for a second...until their crimes caught up with them.
    When they were told "You can plead guilty, sure. But were not giving you YOUR choice of prison" then they decided that they hadn't committed hate crimes.
    Georgia. What a state. On the one hand the McMurderers and Alex Murdaugh.
    On the other hand Fani Willis...leading one of the most important cases in US history.
    She is a god damn super hero. Like this prosecutor.
    And it was Ahmaud's mother..fighting the corrupt local DA and police department...who managed to stop them sweeping her son's grotesque murder under the good ole boy carpet. An elderly black woman, with little money, but with great strength, and with the power of outrage on her side, but little else. Another super hero.

It took place in Georgia also, she went after Kenneth with her truck after she said she witnessed him committing a crime, claiming she was making a citizens arrest, acted like she was law enforcement and damaging he stop for her, killed him when he wouldn’t stop for her and fought back, and then claimed it was in self defense. I would love if you made a video of this trial when it comes up in the fall.

I mean, obviously you do, with the board certification and years of practice, but I've seen so many lawyers on TV and/or UA-cam that will put such a political spin on cases like these that they get lost in the media narrative (one way or another) and cherry pick facts to support their side of the case. You're the only one I've found that deals with highly politically charged issues like this and just gives a solid analysis of the facts of the case, period. No BS. (I will say though, in terms of TV/ UA-cam attorneys, in my opinion, Steve Lehto is also quite a straight shooter, just doesn't touch political stuff at all, for which I don't blame him. But you manage to take the politically charged cases and just throw away the politics and simply discuss on merits, which is SO rare to see)
    Also, speaking of politically charged shit, I know it's an old case, but I'd absolutely love to see a defense lawyer like you react to the trial of OJ Simpson (the criminal murder one, not the numerous others he's been involved in (both civil and criminal) over the years). I know it's one of those that everyone and their brother has covered, but, I would still love to hear your take on it!

      Teach him to respect property and the rights of others and nothing will happen. There is no sense in instilling a false sense of fear that he will be targeted FOR his race, this is just false. They went too far in this case, but Aubrey was a career criminal snooping around in other people's houses. Normal citizens do not do this. Teach your son to not do this and there is no risk.

      Kaeli, I'm 50 and raised my son. I had talks with him early on about respect, etc. He was still targeted. I hope your son never knows that feeling and that you, as a mom, never has to hear that hurt in your son's voice. At least people are more aware now.

      I'm not a person of colour, but I do know some of the statistics on these matters. The chance that your child will be victim of a hate crime like Arbery is (thankfully) rare. I hope if they do find themselves in trouble of any kind that the problem can be solved as painlessly as possible.

    • @smexijebus
      @smexijebus 3 роки тому +1

      @@BloggerMusicMan I am a 'person of colour' and have never been 'targeted' because of my race. I've had bad things happen to me, but way too many people are taught from childhood to believe it's a result of their race (something which makes them freak out because they think they're going to die regardless, thus increasing their chances of doing something stupid).
      If you have a mother and a father who are both present, avoid having 'friends' who participate in criminal acts, and be respectful of all laws and rights, you will be fine. Unarmed white men are much more likely to be shot than any other unarmed race by cops.
      The only thing I'll add though is that if you live in a big city that votes extremely left, get out as fast as possible. All the points which apply to all normal areas go out the window in big cities where crime is rampant. Of course, these cities usually have an OVER-representation of 'people of colour' in positions of power, so to argue it's still a racial thing is suspect to me.

If I'm not mistaken though, that is the only sentence the judge can give for a Malice Murder or Felony Murder conviction. The only choice the judge has is whether it's life with parole or life without parole.

      @k.m.p nas What are you implying ? That it should be illegal to be present in any location ? Take some time and think about what your comment entails. It isn't illegal to simply be somewhere. Also not illegal to be armed in a state that allows the open carry of firearms. You can't really tell someone they shouldn't be present, that's completely ridiculous. This isn't an authoritarian, facist country.

    • @FactoryFugitive

      @k.m.p nas He wasn't trying to stop anyone (you're implying that like you can read minds). Again, it isn't illegal to be present somewhere & it isn't illegal to be armed in a state that allows it). It also isn't out touch to be armed at a violent protest. He was actively in full retreat when he was attacked. It's comical you think your opinion is above the legislation and a very decorated group of attorneys opposing viewpoint in regard to your own.
      You're not the authority to be telling anyone what they should and shouldn't be doing if they're not violating law & it's 100% a facist viewpoint to tell someone "you shouldn't be here". It's not a federal government restricted location.

    • @KatSpade1018
      @KatSpade1018 3 роки тому +2

      This is common practice in every jury trial if one side asks for the jury to be polled, which the losing side usually does. Not a special occurrence here.
      It's just to make sure that the correct verdict was received from each juror and if any juror felt pressured or threatened for their verdict it's a safe place to speak up without feeling intimidated. Standard practice but a very good question! 😁
