I feel so bad for the MC in persona 3. I really like this game but damn this guy has gone through a lot in his short life. 1.)Both his parents die horribly and he saw the entire thing thus leaving him probably emotionally scared for life and detached from his emotions plus being forced live life alone without any living relatives or friends to relate too (As far as i know of, sorry if in wrong), most likely trapped in foster care until his transfer to that high school. 2.) On that same day He becomes the container for the embodiment of death just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and he was the closet living thing around. 3.) Spends the entire game forced to listen to how hard his friends lives are with one relative either dead or incapacitated but when people mention his parents it like "oh, sorry about that." and is never spoken of again or its brush off entirely as fake in the case of the other students 4.) He finds out that its partly his fault the world might end not only because of his believe that killing the shadows would fix things but because hes the container of the shadow that will unwillingly shoved into his body that will help destroy the world. No one barley asks if hes OK or tries to help. In fact at first he was blamed by Junpei. 5.) He becomes a messiah, sacrificing his life energy to seal an all mighty spirit with only a couple of weeks to live where his soul my never find peace in the afterlife.
Then theres also the fact that everyone except for Aigis forgot about him so he most likely spent the last few days slowly losing strength, knowing he's going to die and if Aigis didn't remember as well he would have most likely have died alone and no one would have every known if his friends didn't remembered the promise.
Goddamn it, I always begin to tear up during the fight where MC withstands the attacks because of the dialogue between all the characters but when Junpei says, "No, he's not alone! I won't let him die!" I always, ALWAYS fuckin' cry.
The look of wonder, and innocence in the Main characters eyes is beautiful. The reflection of space in his eyes shows a sense of emptiness, yet he is prepared to take on death itself. Truly a tear-jerking moment, one that gets me every time when paired with the music at 4:12. He is essentially accepting his fate, as the contract required.
i would say that the reflection is the universe arcana's power manifesting in him, as in, he finaly was able to understand it and embody the power of the universe in him... so its not exactly emptiness, but instead the entire universe surging trough him...
So, beating P3P was my first experience beating P3, I picked up P3FES like half a year later to play the answer and I freaked out when I found out the MC died, made this ending way more sadder for me...
This is one of those deaths I will simply never get over. Whenever I remeber it stings and I think just how much it sucks he cant live out his life with his friends. Amazing game tho :) And as is usual now with Persona games, but damn, that soundtrack is just godly. (And so is Aigis and Mitsuru)
The Kirijo group used to be a part of the Nanjo group with is Kei's group in Persona 2. Also if you watch the TV every night, sometimes they'll talk about characters from Persona 2 in interviews. That's about it.
I absolutely LOVE the ending to this game, the fight with Nyx up to the MC's unfortunate demise (or sleep as Arena states). It's all so fantastically brilliant.
He was indeed smiling, don't believe him, he was smiling simply because he'd realized his inexorable fate, that he was the only that could fight, and the only one that could seal this evil away, he smiled because he knew he was heading towards death.
As great as P3 is, when I watched the movies with a friend of mine who hadn't played the games, his questions really made me realize some plot holes or perhaps, a lack of information would be the better phrase. What determines a Persona user having control over their Personas? I had to brush it off as saying it must be related to mental fortitude or the brunt of a person's motivations and sense of purpose but it is never properly explained. Why DO Shinji and Strega have to take supplements to be able to control them? Why are they naturally 'weak' otherwise? We never know. Yet another which was completely dropped is the whole 'ransomed murder' Strega was doing when they were first introduced. They were supposedly being employed by random people to kill other random people who also conveniently happened to be potential Persona users otherwise they couldn't even kill them in the Dark Hour. Like what, they found some employers who knows about the Dark Hour and specifically target people who are still active in it? If it's just any warrant, their target could very well be just a normal person. It's convenient for them that they are getting rid of potential Persona users in the Dark Hour by doing this but ehhh, what? Who signed them up to this and how are all their targets conveniently able to function in the Dark Hour? Here's one that changes the entire premise as a whole. The Shadows were gathered for the experiment which quite literally bombed, right? The Dark Hour and Tartarus were therefore created by this. The game however tells us multiple times that the Shadows ONLY exist within the Dark Hour and Tartarus. So my question is, one that changes the premise as I said, where did the original Shadows prior to the Dark Hour and Tartarus resided and how were they even captured to be studied, let alone existed in our world? (This point MAY have something to do with P1 and P2 as the possible answers may be there. I am sadly unknowledgeable about them but seeing as there is nothing else relating those games to the newer ones, I doubt it.) And finally, although I believe this was only said in the movie, the very first time there was potential danger to a vehicle or structure, the monorail, Mitsuru told us that there would be a 'paradox' if anything was to be harmed during the Dark Hour. So uh... Moonlight Bridge, anyone? That's all I could think of right now but there could honestly be more. I'd be extremely happy if there were consistent explanations for these as it'd cause me to love this game even more than I already do. I do think these inconsistencies mostly stem from the fact that P3 doesn't share P4's theme of 'seeking out the truth' as the whole purpose of that game is to not leave plotholes, not leave a single rock unturned. P3 is far more about loss and perseverance (P4 shares the second aspect in refusing to accept lies and take easy exits but it's still a more prevalent aspect in P3) in comparison. Loss of someone dear (Pretty much every character has lost a loved one) as well as the loss of hope and subsequently, moving on to become a better, stronger person and work toward a brighter future. Even if truth is not the tone the game is going for, these inconsistencies damage it badly in my eyes and I would be delighted to hear some proper explanations if there are any!
the first two are answered. strega were artificial persona users created by the kirijo group, so they required suppressants to keep their personas from killing them. shinjiro required them too after the incident with ken's mother. as for strega's actions before meeting SEES, they were employed by themselves. they never mention an employer. people contact strega if they want revenge, then they do it. (small edit: just like the shadows, persona users seem to be able to open the coffins if they want to. not sure if this is ever mentioned but it's what it looks like) the game says shadows come from human emotions. from this, we can guess the kirijo group obtained them somehow using this information. this point isn't explained very well however, especially not in the movies. mitsuru doesn't say there would be a paradox in the game, she says there would be panic if a disaster suddenly happened overnight. ikutsuki says he was "dreading tomorrow's headlines" before they stopped the monorail incident
when you get to the end on your casual and very easy playthrough and nyx enrages you while repel all things is up so you instantly lose while he has like one hit left in him.
Alright I have played FES and The Answer but I was wondering if it was ever implicitly stated that the MC died before The Answer came out or is it just implied like in the final cutscene.
Well, its implied. The great seal attacks costs all of your hp, and after the fight, the game tells you constantly that you are way too tired. Plus the aigis scene with the cherrh blossoms and stuff. But the answer pretty much confirmed it
Yeah, not to forget but most, if not all, of the S-Links in 3 are thematically tied to the protags choice-4 has a more diverse series of motifs(and some people say the ending comes out of nowhere).
Yeah, I have an idea for 5 where they bring all the characters together, so like the trailer would be just amazing with Ulala and Akihiko boxing and stuff. Like Elizabeth is clearly trying to get the protagonist from 3 out of his seal.
Canon? the fuck? so you have seen the movie and call the name makoto canon? you do know there is also a manga and if i where to go with your logic that would mean that he is also named Minato. He is essentially nameles goddamit. Get your facts right!

***** Just because they used Yu Narukami doesn't mean its canon. Trust me it be easier to give him a default name for those games rather than program the naming sistem.(make a game in RPGmaker and you will know what im talking about) It just means that Atlus is lazy.
Persona 3 FES is one of the best games I have ever laid my hands on, but I do have a slight problem with the ending. I am not a fan of games where the protagonist dies at the end, even moreso with a game like this where you spend almost 100 hours building him into a character you can truly call your own. Even though I partially dislike the ending, I would recommend this game in a heartbeat. Have seen a max social link run (along with all books read) of Persona 4 Golden and I cannot wait to get a Vita. If I were to compare the two right now, Persona 4 would get a slight edge due to the ending and some social links. It would be more like a 1a and 1b type of ranking though. Atlus, you make great games. Looking forward to being able to play Persona Q as well.
i would argue that, games or fictonal stories in general were the protag dies are somewhat the best, since in those stories you actually feel the weigt of the task before you, and you can be proud of the mc for being able to conquer the life for his friends to live.
it would have been cool if they also brought the characters from 1 and 2. As it is now it's almost like the first 2 games(3 if you count duology as 2 separate ones) have been completely neglected i know the continuity between 3 and 4 is also minimal but i dont think there is really anything connecting 2 and 3...or i might have not been paying attention enough
the fight with the gas station imposter thing was fun, i thing they needed some kind of filler for the bad ending besides gameovers, and the foreshadowing from beginning to end was pretty awesome in my opinion! and besides, we have nanako and teddie
I never knew that thanks allot. I actually played the persona 2 games after 3 so allot of it went under my radar. It was kinda hard to get them I had to buy an import and download one from american PSN cause they were never released in europe but it was damn well worth it
Nope, but it's good. Think of it more of a segway into a bigger story, especially if you get the psvita version and see all the scenes with marie. After this I assume 3 and 4 will kind of conjoin and then something cool will happen. I won't lie when I say, if done right, persona 5 could be the last game and feel still fulfilling. It's got a nice setup right now,
He died right? that's what it seems after aegis cried. But what is that lapse right after showing the SEES at school gathering "again" to actually try to "find him" they lost their memories, time passed and then they got it back that's why they remembered they had to "find him"? And he's supposedly DEAD right? so WHY is he with aegis on the roof? or are they in another timeline or smth? Can someone help me understand the end please?
***** crazydude21000 Sorry to burst your bubbles but that's highly unlikely. The persona games are connected in a way, mainly 1 is connected to 2 (IS and EP) and 3 is somewhat connected to 4,, but neither has intertwining stories, Their stories are mostly separate, so the chances of 5 being about freeing the 3 protagonist is really low. I believe it's already been mentioned that 5 is more about breaking free form societal standards or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Zysets yeah, you're probably right. It would be really out of place in any numbered game, and though it may happen down the road, It'd be better if it doesn't because any explanation Atlus may give about why did Nyx no longer need to be protected from Erebus has to be really, really good for me (or anyone, i'd think) to consider it not cheap
***** Yeah, it would definitely be cool though. Next to Persona 2 IS, 3 is my next favorite. I'd love to see the characters from the game more, like how they're doing with Persona Q. But like you said, they need some good reasoning to free him if I'm going to buy into it.

what i would do for a P3 remake in the quality of P5 PepeHands
Coming soon
@@silvernightingale8208 people have been saying this for years, though i do think it's likely
@@daiyahigashikata they're working on it
@@silvernightingale8208 just a rumour, but likely.
@@daiyahigashikataYou're not gonna believe this
*Makoto change to creative mode*
*Nyx avatar has been banned of server Earth*
Soundtrack?
Nope, but it's good. Think of it more of a segway into a bigger story, especially if you get the psvita version and see all the scenes with marie. After this I assume 3 and 4 will kind of conjoin and then something cool will happen. I won't lie when I say, if done right, persona 5 could be the last game and feel still fulfilling. It's got a nice setup right now,
The music is better than P4's but the P4's final boss is much harder.
4:59 ????????
*O SHIT I LEGIT CRIED*
He died right? that's what it seems after aegis cried. But what is that lapse right after showing the SEES at school gathering "again" to actually try to "find him" they lost their memories, time passed and then they got it back that's why they remembered they had to "find him"?
And he's supposedly DEAD right? so WHY is he with aegis on the roof? or are they in another timeline or smth?
Can someone help me understand the end please?
Me being the main character and doing this happens in my dreams sometimes, and It's a nice feeling.
MY FUCKING HEART
Fuuka's voice might be the worst dub I've ever heard.
I we're make him dead i will seal Nyx all by myself
I want to know what the theme is at 4:15.
burn my dread - last battle version
TheCreed1217 I'm familiar with that, no I meant the scene where the Protagonist is floating up to Nyx, the one that leads up to Burn my Dread.
I would also like to know that
if you're still wondering its called Determination.
Hikari Sakishima Determination is the song used for the scene. Determination also includes "Mistic" in it.
it wasnt THAT bad and nanako was actually quite nice
+Zysets yeah you are right it's just hopeful wishing that's all T___T

This shit gets me in the feels man
the shot at 4:10 also makes me cry

ost 4:12 name please
Shino Uzumi thanks
:'( Aigis is bae I love her
ost?
First one is nyx's theme
Loved the fucken ending and I want the fifth to try and free him
the theme of the fifth game may refer to the fact that you have to free him. but well, here's hopin'
***** or it could of happened before the final battle idk I am throwing idea's out
***** Yeah, it would definitely be cool though. Next to Persona 2 IS, 3 is my next favorite. I'd love to see the characters from the game more, like how they're doing with Persona Q. But like you said, they need some good reasoning to free him if I'm going to buy into it.
This precisely why portable is trash and why the p2 version and FES should’ve been ported instead.
I concur.
