I Went To A Furry Con. It was a mistake

Me and my squad chose not to stay at the Marriott this year, and the experience was so, so much better because of it

Hyatt both this year and the prior year remain the best in terms of elevator congestion. Marriott was better this year than last, and the Hilton was absolutely tragic because of the dealers den being located on that site. Hopefully they are able to retain the Hyatt lower floor for the DD next year...

Awesome video. I went and it was a blast for me. That made up for my internal illness, my friend ditching me, and my last minute flight getting in very late after registration closes. I heard and seen what happened at the elevators. Bummer on that. That's why I never stay at the main hotel. Sorry your your experience was a bad one. Maybe next years will be a better one.

It looks like an absolute blast. I've never been to FWA and I would love to go one day. The crowd size looks intimidating and I'm so afraid to get lost in such a huge hotel.

I went last year and had a blast. I'm glad you had a pretty similar experience. You should try the arcade in fursuit. One of my all time favorite fullsuiting things to do.

Dude this makes me want to go to FWA so badly. But at the same time I’ve never been to a furry con before. I’ve been to Anime conventions and I’ve seen a handful of fursuiters there. But I want to go to furry con to explore and have fun!!

Gonna listen on my way to knoxville but did wanna share my own experiences ^-^
FWA 2024 was my first furry convention and I stayed at the Marriott with friends.
Everything was awrsome.for me.
Elevators felt quick, line con was always moving, and almost everyone was friendly.
The only real negative I spotted was some attendees were rather messy on floor 10.
Maybe i w a s just too overall happy for my first con but I thought it was great and already bought my reg for next year owo

The main reason that the elevators didn’t work is that they were not enough volunteers to help manage and enforce the elevator rules and etiquette.
If you want the situation to improve volunteer for FWA as a Zookeeper to help maintain order for the lines to the elevators.

I really dont understand how some peeps are saying the elevators and smell was bad.
Maybe it's cause fwa 2024 was my first con but the elevators went really fast for me.
I used it as a opportunity to socialize asking those also waiting how they were, where they were from, and various other ice breaking comments
