Your method employs sheer genius, as usual. Nice going Lisa😊 I watched a guy struggle for at least an hour with his new pipe and he finally got it together. The very next thing he did, as he spun around hootin and hollerin’ with joy, was to step firmly on the pipe. They’re never quite the same after that
I think I saw that video as well. Just to be clear, I struggled as bad until I figured out the trick. My dad always said there’s a trick to everything. Thanks for sharing.
This video was twice the length. Obviously, it was a tough go that first time! The pole suggestion seems better than the diagnal rolling I have seen in other videos. If solid sections of chimney were available in the correct diameter, would you think it a viable option. Thanks for the video.
I sure felt like that when I was figuring it out. But I was so captivated by just how small the whole thing travels I was glad I used a trick that worked and then once heated the stovepipe goes together without the pole.
I don’t think so. Once it’s together you have your get it out. It’s only when you attach it to the stove and heat to that it easily takes the right shape of a stovepipe. Good luck.
First time I’ve seen a stove pipe like that. Learned something new today!
It’s nice and compact. Once heated it takes the right shape very easily. Thanks for watching.

Great advice! You always make going out in the woods more enjoyable. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!

I saw those videos too and tried the diagonal rolling, which always got away from me. I’m so glad it behaves itself now that it’s heated.
Thank you so much. Happy camping/canoeing.
Same to you!
Excellent tip Lisa. I have seem multiple people demonstrate how to do that the first time, it always looks like a primate and a football.

Great job 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
That is using your head Lisa. Great video thank you.
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching.
cool. great tip as usual.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Could you use a rope stretched taut between rwo trees instead of a pole?
I don’t think so. Once it’s together you have your get it out. It’s only when you attach it to the stove and heat to that it easily takes the right shape of a stovepipe. Good luck.
The magic pole strikes again. There is a poling clinic/race event on the Kenduskeag on May 4th will you and company be attending?
Is there any more information? I’d love to go. Back in the day, poling races used to be at the little drive in site on the kenduskeg.
Mainepolingguide is me, btw. I’d love more info if you have it.
@@3_Minutes_With_a_Maine_Guide Chip Cochrane has info on the event.
