When you talked about Dear Billy and Max's wish to die and then her death scene it made me realise why her line "I'm not ready to die" hit so hard. I loved how she wasn't brave, she didn't accept her death. No. She's a teenager who has been through so much but who has learnt that she still had a lot good memories ahead. Of course she would not accept her death. Btw I'm really worried about what they'll do with her next season. I suppose she'll wake up but I'm sure the duffers will leave her consequences. If S1 was Mike's season, S2 was Will's and S3 was Dustin's, S4 was Max's. I hope we center a bit more on Lucas next season. He has so much potential but he's severely underrated... Some fans just reduce him to lumax when he's so much more than that!
It kinda feels like vecna should have been the enemy BEFORE we find out about the mind flayer thing. Going back from a strange godlike creature to just a dude with super powers feels weird to me. Also I don't see how vecna can redeem himself darth vader style because there's no one above him anymore. He's the big bad guy in charge of everything.
even though the mind flayer feels like a grander enemy, vecna to me feels more like the climactic villain of a tv series just because he's a more personal tangible threat for the characters + he's actually intelligent and not just some monster creature yk - but I get where you're coming from
I actually more saw the seasons as: Season 1: Eleven/Will focused Season 2: Will focused Season 3: Billy focused Season 4: Max focused But we can agree to disagree.
In my opinion, I hate scenes with Russia, it doesnt make any sense to me (how can they relatively easily get there, save the day and leave like that?!). I also hate how every other Hollywood movie or tv series have this "Russia is a villain" trope, it is not funny nor original anymore.
i understand the frustration but it’s also very much a 1980s cold war thing along with the sci-fi tones, human testing and the satanic panic they brought in with jason. i don’t see what else they could have done honestly.
@@azure113i think it’s the fact that they have all of these separate tropes running parallel to one another without the writers doing the legwork of making them intertwine in a satisfying or deep way, it makes the show feel scattered and very different to what it felt like in season one. it feels more surface level imo. the show doesn’t really feel focused or like there’s a point anymore, it’s just more seasons for the sake of more seasons (and money for netflix).
Framed against America, Russia isn't much of a villain, really. The point of framing the American and Russian scenes is to showcase that neither are very good at all. So yeah, Russia's evil. But so is America so I can't see as much of an issue
Honestly it not the Russian part for it mainly how fucking long they drag out the demogorgon coming out of its cage it get introduced that they will fight it in episode 4 or something and is only revealed in 7 or 8
I always interpreted Eddie leaving to distract the bats as him realising that if the bats got into the trailer they'd be able to get through the gate and likely kill Dustin (and likely others), thus making it feel a lot more heroic!! But Eddie not continuing to cycle away from the bats still feels a bit forced to me ( ;∀;)
@@TripleNeon i personally think mike's gay but i could write a essay on that and idk if you want that haha i do like milleven in season 1 they were cute in that
Good video but the title doesn't match the contents. Season 3 is easily the worst, it introduced the Russia plotline and muddied Eleven's backstory, which is why s 4 being good is a bit shocking. It's a lot cleaner, like season 1.
Season 3 is an interesting one. Its the one which seemingly gets critiqued the most (at least on youtube), yet its arguably the fan favourite also. Tonally its kind of a black sheep to other seasons, its quite comedic and cheesy and colourful. I think casual viewers enjoy this since they get to spend more light-heartened time with the characters they love and its the season which leans the hardest into that stylised 80s look (something which people adore about the show). While I think introducing the Russians wasn't a good idea, I still think they are handled well in season 3, primarily because its centred around the most charismatic grouping (the ice cream crew). To be honest, I think season 3's issues lie elsewhere. I find the Nancy x Jonathon reporter stuff at the start kind of boring, I think similarly about the Joyce x Hopper x Murray arc, and its the season which probably has the least relevance to the overall mystery of the show. I do genuinely believe that season 4 has more flaws than season 3 (you can see in my video that I'm quite complacent), but season 4 is also better in a lot ways. I mean, the argument can be made that season 2 is the weakest as well, its quite derivated of season 1 only with a slightly darker tone and ofc it has that whole lost sisters episode weighing it down. Idk to me personally every season is like a 4 or 4.5/5 for differing reasons - but I get where you're coming from.
I didn't like the russian storyline at all, the humour did not work on me, it felt forced and dumb. The only moments that save it are the jopper moments, and that talk hopper has with the russian guard about how he is a curse which hit me like a truck. But yeah the goofy action of it was not my thing

"I would say that I'd like to see Jonathan with Steve" I'm sorry I cackled. 😂 They do have good chemistry though, sorry Nance.

Idk i feel like season 3 Doesnt really have a main focus
Also i think season 1 joyce/el/will
And season 2 mike/will
In my own opinion
S1: Mike
S2: Will
S3: Dustin
S4: Eleven
I watched a few of your videos now and I love how well made they are. I hope you soon get the amount of views you deserve
this was really well made, thank you
1:50 you did not just do her like that… jokes aside this was very well made and needs more views
Man great video! I don't know how you managed to explain the way I feel about this season without me knowing but yeah great video!

keep making videos, I don't even watch most of the content you cover but I enjoy your takes
jason is such an underrated antagonist! i also thought his speeches were so funny, the actor did a great job
i have rewatched the max’s brush with death scene in dear billy so many times and i am legit not capable of watching it without crying
Argyle was annoying as fuck
Hated him
I see what you did there with McLovin lol
But seriously, your essays are great, pretty impressive work here
Max surviving was dumb, Eddie dying was dumber, and the Russia escape fake-out was truly awful.. but this season was still great overall!
This was posted on my bday
happy belated birthday!!
Season 1 vs season 4 is definitely like playing call of cthulhu vs playing d&d, respectively.
RIP eddie i cried so hard when he died :(
quality mate

I haven't seen any season please make a video about those ones
I don't want to see the serie but I want to see your videos talking about it
lmao if this video does well then i’ll do video where i briefly discuss seasons 1-3 for like 15 mins (just for you)
Supercuts delights wannabe, there's no way it's the worst
I know im late but i wanted to ask wich do you like better byler or milleven? Personally i'd choose byler without a doubt
I like milleven but i don’t think they’re end game. Byler could be interesting but i don’t think Mike swings that way🏌️♂️

Personally i think the scenes in russia were the best ones.
Nah season 5 can't come out in 4 years, it will be like maybe 1,5 years?

You must be young. Stranger Things isn't even close to greatest of all time.
It's really good but so very flawed that gets a pass cos it's a bunch
