the 'el becomes the final villain' theory is FURTHER BACKED UP by the fact that in ep1, s1 when Dustin and Will race home to see who wins a comic, Will wins and says he'll take 'X-men 134' the issue in which the HELLFIRE CLUB turn Jean into a villain
I mean that was mainly meant to foreshadow Eleven killing the demogorgon against a blackboard at the end of the season but there could be something else there
I thought they already entertained this plot point in season 4 with the whole Jane thinking she's a monster thing and just whisked it away pinning it all on Vecna. If they do bring it up again, it'll just feel repetitive and her whole introspection will have been pointless.
There was actually a small mention of 008 by Henry himself he said "do you remember a few years ago, some woman came to see you, this would've been shortly before 008 left"
Literally just a tiny Itty bitty mention does not mean the character is going to come back. The brothers just had to mention it because if they didn't then people would be calling it a Plot hole.
Exactly thank you. If they did that it would make the rest of series pointless because of all the character development, actions of characters, and relationships would be erased and the only thing we as a viewer would be doing is asking why should I even care if it’s all gonna be erased
Plus I don’t think people would be willing unless there was literally no other way - Mike and El never would’ve met, for example, and I don’t think that’s something the characters would be willing to do.
For the last theory, they also mention X-men issue 134 back in the very first episode. An issue that is a part of the Dark Phoenix story that mentions the Hellfire Club by name on the cover

i do believe the duffer brothers said there would be a significant time jump to make the character's appearance more match their age but im not sure how they would do that :/ if anyone has heard different please let me know :)
They would probably have footage made already for the first few episodes and then have a time skip to what they are like now, they already are like 20 so they can pull it off
I think they’re saying the first 2 episodes will follow S4 and the following would have a time jump of a few years (some say the show will go into the 90’s) 😳
Yeah it will be difficult to explain away a few years of inactivity when S4 ended with the gates of hell being opened. And I don't think Eleven would wait that long to fight Vecna if she will probably have to fight him to bring back Max.
I don’t remember where but i read the time gap is to also to let Vecna heal to fight 11. As for how the residents of Hawkins will live through the time gap, Max, and how people will feel about Jason & Eddie’s death goes beyond me.
I just wanna say, Steve was never that bad of a guy, even in Season 1. He had shitty friends, yes, but he shut them down whenever they were being shitty, and once he saw them for the bullies they were, Steve ditched them. Considering the things he knew in Season 1, his behaviour is always understandable, even if he might have gone too far calling Jonathan and his entire family a bunch of screw ups.
the best et reference was they were riding on the bikes and instead of making the bikes fly like et, they flip the vans that were chasing them. the show should've just been an anthology. mainly because the title makes way more sense as an anthology
Also, I’d like to know if the Duffers were inspired by Metroid Prime 2 when designing the Upside Down. Dark Aether has the same look and feel as the UD/: a dark, decaying mirror world with horrifying monsters who want to take over the light side, ashy particles in the air and a toxic atmosphere.
Actually, Eight *was* mentioned - by Henry before he became Vecna. "Do you remember, when Eight was still here?" It's possibly a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, but it's there.
In my rewatch of the series I actually liked S2E7 a lot more than I did the first time. It’s pretty random considering it’s tone and the characters but it’s a vital part of Els story
On Chernobyl, Duffer brothers have already said there will be a sizeable time skip so the little to no time skip probably isn't correct. I'd estimate a year or two will be skipped
Another iceberg thing about hellfire: the part in which the club is called satanic and such is very logical for the time. DND was shown by politicians as something that could actually make people satanical. The game has gone through a very rough history, even though it's literally just whatever the creator thinks of. This means it's tied to the plot just like the MD experiments
Holy cow!!! I have the same theory!!! My Theory: The upside down is stuck on Will's birthday, which indicates that Vecna has the ability to stop time in the upside down. Vecna can also show future events. But if Vecna has the ability to control time, Eleven should have the same ability as well. When the glass coke bottle scene occurred at the end of Vol. 2, the spinning clockwise represented the hands on the clock. Any time Eleven is seen with a Coca Cola can, she's exhibiting the use of her power. Like a normal clock, the hands can turn clockwise or counter-clockwise. We've seen events where characters have gone back in the past, specifically to see Henry Creel's young self in Vol.2. My prediction is that I think Eleven will go back in time using her mind and destroy the grandfather clock that Henry Creel began using when he was a boy. This would prevent future events, the upside down merging with the real world, and all characters killed throughout in the series.
What if Eleven is the one who froze time and Vekna is mostly just pissed about it because she brought his entire world to a stand-still. (He was happy off on his own exploring the new world before she pierced into the in-between again.)
I feel like as soon as vecna is completely destroyed all of the test subjects powers may start to disappear as the main cause of the powers is completely gone
The Eddie/Kas theory is one I’m very fond of. Though I know in my heart it would cheapen Eddie’s sacrifice, but to have him brought back as a mind controlled ‘puppet’ of Vecna next season (until presumably the power of love and or friendship brings him back) would be something to see

Okay, so what if Eleven decides to sever the connection between Vecna and the Mind Flayer to turn Vecna back into Henry somehow, but in the process she is possessed by the Mind Flayer and becomes Dark Pheonix until she sacrifices herself to save everyone else?

I always thought it was a glaring contradiction that some parts of the government were so threatened by El and other's powers when 2-3 people were murdered, when in reality they are willing to take 1,000 of peoples lives in collateral for much less powerful weapons. Especially season 4 the military trying to kill her on sight and anyone related to it was absurd.
16:13 i thought the duffer brothers confirmed a time skip for season 5 in multiple interviews? iirc they kept saying they needed an explanation for why the actors look so much older than their characters now
Let's keep in mind with the 30 page upside down paper, Steve was supposed to stay an asshole, the series was originally an anthology, etc. There is nothing that says anything in the 30 pages is like a Bible that's set in stone. I'd assume it informs the Duffer's writing, less than that it's any kinda guide. They'll shape things in the upside down around the story and vice versa as needed.
I have not seen anyone make this connection….. Dustin’s outfit in episode 9 reminds me of Red Dawn the original…… when the kids are kicking the Cubans butt…… that movie scared me
In my honest and completely personal opinion: it should have been an anthology series or at least introduce some way different elements by season two or three. I feel like everything after season one that directly change or retcon things just make the whole show worse. For me this is especially apparent in season four with the "one all along" shit.
There’s going to be a new stranger things show that has to do with season 5. The duffer brothers confirmed this. So the time travel thing wouldn’t make sense if the new series has to do with season 5. Unless they are going back in time to before any of this happened? Not sure that would make sense though since 11 created the upside down when she sent 001 into it.
Im be honest i love metal and i habent listed to master of puppets in so fucking long bc i underestimated it but when it came up in the show i was like holy shit
During the Pagan Fall, November 6, 1983 was when the album from Metallica, was seen in stores. By Christmas, it was a must have item. The album was called Master of Puppets. Soon after all the horror movies were about Killer Dolls and Puppetmaster.
I'm sorry but Steve was NEVER THAT BAD. People are glazing over the fact Nancy is the actual worst???? Them setting the two back up is absolutely destroying the show for me lol HE DESERVES BETTER
I do kind of wish ST was an anthology series, but kept the same cast and added to it, like AHS. There is an anthology series on Hulu called Monsterland that not enough people talked about. I think it was episode five or six in which at the end, I just looked at my sister and we both burst into tears.
I wish there was an anthology series like stranger things. The thing we loved about it is that is was 100% a new 80s show, in style and feature. It didn't follow modern conventions. And let's be real, it isn't "nostalgia" that brought us in (I was born in the 90s), but the high quality and interesting movies of the 80s that were so influential. Also, it's wonderful seeing kids depicted as kids and not cell-phone, tablet welding zombies. Young kids are remarkably the same as they ever were.
It makes so much sense that it was planned as an anthology. They very clearly didn't have as good of an idea of how to make things work for seasons 2 and 3. It took years for them to develop the ideas needed to make season 4 such a banger.
eight had better not show up in the final season. She was a shit character, with a bad actress, bad storyline, bad resolution, just bad everything. The episode itself doesn't even make sense and the writers know it that's why they have barely mentioned it again. Bringing back eight will only ruin whatever episode she is in.
dude WHAT… i loooved the lost sister.. gave such a neat different feel and i thought it was so funny and super cute when 11 awkwardly repeats the word “Bitchin” lmfao!! I wish 11 would of attempted to reach back out to that gang and bring them to the original gang and it’ll be cool to see them all work together and see 11 and 8 channel their powers together to conquer the evil from the upside down. from there hopper could of been made aware of their plans to take our everyone who was involved with the lab as it would also benefit 11 and allow her to lead a normal life and not have so many ground rules, i really wish people hadnt been so freaking grossly negative about it… ugh people are so closed minded its insane.. there was soooo much potential with the character of 8 within the series and she could of been implemented in so many brilliant ways.. but because the ratings for that singular episode were so low they felt it was too risky to delve back into 8’s character and storyline.. so all of ya’ll basically screwed that one up.. and i love how you all are asking “wheres number 8” yet ya’ll are LITERALLY the single handed reason why we never saw her again… idiots. 🙄😒
my mom despises how into this show i am since she knows about all tje real life stuff thats gone on/going on that also happens in the show and says its demonic lol
I’m so sick of ppl saying Steve was a douche in season 1. Sure he did some not so good things but always made up for them in like the next episode. Jonathon was lucky all Steve did was break his camera for taking pictures of Steve and Nancy banging, because if it was me he would’ve caught a beat down too. The worst thing about Steve in season 1 is his 2 friends Carrol and Tommy. Steve has always been a good guy.
@@soiledmytrousers Yes but Netflix took the license out of Dead by daylight so you can no longer buy the characters or cosmetics anymore. Same thing with fortnite they 100% would’ve rereleased or release new stranger things cosmetics if Netflix wasn’t weird with the license.

4:03 Tchernobog was the final boss in 'Blood'. It's also where Chernobyl gets its name (or so I've read). 4:25 Having been an '80s kid in the '80s, I can confirm that we had to wear those awful gym shorts back then. But what's with Will's hair?! Why do they style his hair that way in ST4?! No one in the '80s or '90s willingly wore a bowl cut once they were out of elementary school or middle school. You certainly wouldn't be wearing that as a teen in high school. You'd get beaten up every day! 8:32 Reminiscent of Silent Hill. Btw, SH1 takes place in 1983. 13:11 The Soviet Union did basically the same stuff. 13:38 The Soviets definitely did that too. 16:55 Works for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
I think in the end 11 is going to save the day and die, and somehow Mike is going to go back in time and start the hawkins lab to make sure 11 gains powers and will save the world or whatever. I think Papa is actually Mike, which is why papa feels so connected to El, they also have the same initials (Mike Byers, and Martin Brenner). They also have the same haircut and big ass nose. There is also little things Mike and papa both did in season 4 that were similar, when el hit the chick with the roller skate Mike was like “what have u done” and when she vanished 1 to the upside down papa had the same reaction.

I'd assume it informs the Duffer's writing, less than that it's any kinda guide. They'll shape things in the upside down around the story and vice versa as needed.
First time I seen your channel well done I enjoyed it thanks😊 Will keep my eye out for more
Duffer brothers confirmed SE5 will have a time jump to explain how the characters have aged over the years
I have not seen anyone make this connection….. Dustin’s outfit in episode 9 reminds me of Red Dawn the original…… when the kids are kicking the Cubans butt…… that movie scared me
Be sure to turn on notifications if you want to see the secret original thumbnail
Uh oh. Secrets
Just subd cause you put so much effort into this and gave me more insight that I didn’t know
I hope Eleven becomes evil in season 5. :D Will too. How tragic would that be?
Okay, but we all know Max is going to wake up as a Vekna puppet, right?
nah bc the best theory is that at the very end the camera pans out and its just all 4 of the kids just fucking yelling in the basement
There is no iceberg in stranger things but there is going to be a dragon in stranger I heard from the stranger things cast thank you for doing this !
and Number 3 in the comics, who escaped, had the mind control ability.
To anyone who still thinks season one was the best season you dead wrong it just keeps getting better season by season
Isn't the Montauk anthology series idea from that guy who sued them saying they stole his idea and then they proved in court that they didn't?
eight had better not show up in the final season. She was a shit character, with a bad actress, bad storyline, bad resolution, just bad everything. The episode itself doesn't even make sense and the writers know it that's why they have barely mentioned it again. Bringing back eight will only ruin whatever episode she is in.
I do hope filming isn’t held up for a year. The kids are adults now and the story isn’t at a spot that seems friendly to a time jump.
dude WHAT… i loooved the lost sister.. gave such a neat different feel and i thought it was so funny and super cute when 11 awkwardly repeats the word “Bitchin” lmfao!! 🙄😒
my mom despises how into this show i am since she knows about all tje real life stuff thats gone on/going on that also happens in the show and says its demonic lol
its sad, that ppl only know ab master of puppets from this show.. like metallica is classic idk how people couldn’t know them
Can't wait for season 5!!!
Are you Pete peppers? You guys sound the same just with a different mic either I’m still subscribing
Woah I had no idea that the latest far cry had a stranger things expansion 👀 how weird
Eddie! The most epic guitar solo ever.
Montauk project...I've driven past camp hero..it wasn't too impressive...there's still security around though.
Bruh. Horror movies have child actors so often and they are far more scary than stranger things. That shit aint no sense
It’s beyond me Netflix does collabs with Far Cry 6 and not a game like fortnite or dead by daylight
Isn’t there stranger things characters in Dead by Daylight?
@@soiledmytrousers Yes but Netflix took the license out of Dead by daylight so you can no longer buy the characters or cosmetics anymore. Same thing with fortnite they 100% would’ve rereleased or release new stranger things cosmetics if Netflix wasn’t weird with the license.
The dark phoenix thing is pretty cool. It may not be a cosmic alien force that binds to her but.......
....An otherworldly sentient matter that is known to bind to a host 🕷
Why is 8 conveniently blocked by “papa” in the picture. I don’t think they stuck with their 2nd season
16:14 I believe there’s gonna be a 2 year time skip so…..
There is literally a mention of 8 in s4.
love this
FYI less than 100 people died at Chernobyl.
16:55 Works for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
duffer bros did mention being inspired by silent hill :)
@@klsit3528 Half-Life references too!
@@judsongaiden9878 didn’t even notice, thx for telling me :)
STOP THE FUCKING CLOCK SOUND FUCKING SCARED ME
Stranger Things is about to pull a GoT type of ending piss everyone off
Jean Grey didn't lose it, she was taken over by The Phoenix which is an entirely different being
Ya'll hear the theory that the entire series was just a D&D game?
I feel like there gonna go back in time and try to kill Henry before he kills his parents
No one seems to mention the goonies goonies two with S T casts I'd watch that 🤪
I think Mike becomes the final villain
Good Iceberg but don’t make like 1 or two entries per iceberg tier that’s bad iceberg making
12:30 - that we know of -.-
Stranger Things still got a kid (preteen) audience so it's all good
Maybe Will is a better stand-in for Jean Grey
I’m sorry, did you say TWO YEARS?!
MK Ultra brought us The Unabomber
I think in the end 11 is going to save the day and die, and somehow Mike is going to go back in time and start the hawkins lab to make sure 11 gains powers and will save the world or whatever. I think Papa is actually Mike, which is why papa feels so connected to El, they also have the same initials (Mike Byers, and Martin Brenner). They also have the same haircut and big ass nose. There is also little things Mike and papa both did in season 4 that were similar, when el hit the chick with the roller skate Mike was like “what have u done” and when she vanished 1 to the upside down papa had the same reaction.
U trippin bro
They can kiss my Netflix, stranger things after season 2 bites!
16:55 actually, 31 people died, not thousands
You’re discrediting the people who went in to put out the fires and clean up the site. I’m not.
operation - mockingbird (very real, we are in it)
Can you play DND alone, cause i have noone that would like to play with me :D
You can play alone but I’d suggest either trying to find a game online or at a local game shop! The website roll20 has a Looking for Group feature and there’s also r/lfg on Reddit. Just do your best to find a group of people you feel like you mesh with!
That's not what a bottle episode is
S5 is supposed to be in the 90s
What does he mean by using Chernobyl is being insensitive. How many movies are there about WWI and WWII
interesting
