Hi Katrina, Great video! I have an issue with my Wordpress and I it is giving me a hard time: I have accidentally DELETED MY HOMEPAGE. The problem is that there may be other PAGES I can create but there is ONLY ONE HOMEPAGE. And the WOOCOMMERCE plugin that I am using works with HOMEPAGE. HI Katrina, The little arrows that scroll the slider on my home page do not seem to be working on my web-site, is there something that I am missing here? I click on them and they do not advance, they do advance with the time feature, which I have set at 4 seconds.

hi there, thanks so much for your comment. yes you can change the theme to superstore. when you do so, you will just need to set up the new homepage & new menu & widgets for superstore. all of your content (product data, images, posts, pages) will stay intact. i would watch this video above to see how to change the homepage, menu, and widgets. then, i would add a temporary 'coming soon' splash page on your site while you are working behind the scenes. then when your site is ready with the new theme, you can deactivate the coming soon message. here is a video for the coming soon page. hope this helps. Hi, Thank you so much for the fantastic tutorials, i am following along and am at the slider section of the tutorial, the problem i have is that every image i seem to use as a featured image is too big and displays at around twice maybe 3 times the height of how a slider should be - is there a way to resize the image or slider settings inside the theme to adjust it, i can email you my site address if you want to see what i mean, wont put it on here as dont want to look like a spammer, thanks : )

Hi Katrina, First of all let me say, "You Rock!" I have decided that I really like working with Profit Builder Theme and Plugin. It is awesome. I am currently rebuilding a site for a new client that will have a lot of products for sale. The client has a Watch and Clock Repair Store. I am very limited in my experience with online ecommerce and frankly, a little intimidated by the whole process. I want to set up the product pages and then add the woo commerce theme. At that point I am thinking that I would be able to add buttons and pricing on the actual pages themselves. Is that going to work for me or am I dreaming? Tom Miles Hi Tom, thank you so much for your kind words. : ) For your ecommerce site, WooCommerce is a plugin, not a theme. So, I'd recommend setting up your theme first, then adding the WooCommerce plugin. You can only add the product pages after WooCommerce plugin is installed. You do not need to add any buttons since WooCommerce does that for you. In this video you'll see I first add the theme, then later add the plugin and set up all the ecommerce sections. You can follow along in a similar way using the Profit theme instead of the theme I'm using (Superstore). Hope this helps, best wishes!
I had a website using Wordpress and Cashie Commerce . I am having real issues with the videos looking different from what shows up on the latest download of Superstore. I can not get the slide to show up at all and several other things are different, like the license key, and after adding woo commerce the screen where you clicked on pages did not appear. Hi Shane, you can go to the WordPress dashboard sidebar, click Products/All Products, then hover over the item and click "edit product". From there you can change the price and update the product. Thank you for your comment.
Great Video, thx.. A segment on how to prepare product photos as far as choosing their dimensions before they are uploaded would be great. It can become a visual mess if photos sizes are all over the place. I am running through issues for ex, # of pics per row will affect the display in categories even if one has well set thumbnail sizes..etc...if you know of an existing tutorial on ideal sizes of pics to be used in such themes as woo's or others, I think it might help a lot of viewers thx

hi there, are you using woocommerce? if so, you need to add a new product first, then you'll see the product data section where you can set up products with variations. hope this helps.

Another question. If I use this theme, do I have to have the blog on the Home page? Or can it be moved to another page. I want my site to look like a website, not a blog.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. : ) I haven't done a tutorial on a plugin like that since most of those plugins (all that I've seen actually) are premium plugins and I haven't bought a license. Hi katherina,great video.I am a newbie and I have watched your this video many times so that I can setup an online store.I purchased superstore theme from woo theme and followed all the steps in the video to setup the slider but no images are appearing on homepage. I have ticketed the enable button setting,and saved the featured image and published. No image have uploaded. Please help!

I have an issue with my Wordpress and I it is giving me a hard time: I have accidentally DELETED MY HOMEPAGE. The problem is that there may be other PAGES I can create but there is ONLY ONE HOMEPAGE.
And the WOOCOMMERCE plugin that I am using works with HOMEPAGE.
Do you think I could retreive my deleted HOMEPAGE somehow??
(I do not mind if the content is not there, I just need an original "homepage" page)

HI Katrina, The little arrows that scroll the slider on my home page do not seem to be working on my web-site, is there something that I am missing here? I click on them and they do not advance, they do advance with the time feature, which I have set at 4 seconds.

hi there, thanks so much for your comment. yes you can change the theme to superstore. when you do so, you will just need to set up the new homepage & new menu & widgets for superstore. all of your content (product data, images, posts, pages) will stay intact. i would watch this video above to see how to change the homepage, menu, and widgets. then, i would add a temporary 'coming soon' splash page on your site while you are working behind the scenes. then when your site is ready with the new theme, you can deactivate the coming soon message. here is a video for the coming soon page. hope this helps. Hi Katrina, When i set the price of a variable item, for example, it has an original value of 10.99-19.99, and sale value of 5.99-10.99 (due to its a variable product), the price tag are not in the same row, it appears like:
"10.99-19.99
5.99-
10.99"

I have decided that I really like working with Profit Builder Theme and Plugin. It is awesome. I am currently rebuilding a site for a new client that will have a lot of products for sale. The client has a Watch and Clock Repair Store.
I am very limited in my experience with online ecommerce and frankly, a little intimidated by the whole process. I want to set up the product pages and then add the woo commerce theme. At that point I am thinking that I would be able to add buttons and pricing on the actual pages themselves. Is that going to work for me or am I dreaming?
Can you suggest a more proficient way to achieve a desirable site using woo commerce?

Tom Miles Hi Tom, thank you so much for your kind words. : ) For your ecommerce site, WooCommerce is a plugin, not a theme. So, I'd recommend setting up your theme first, then adding the WooCommerce plugin. You can only add the product pages after WooCommerce plugin is installed. You do not need to add any buttons since WooCommerce does that for you. In this video you'll see I first add the theme, then later add the plugin and set up all the ecommerce sections. You can follow along in a similar way using the Profit theme instead of the theme I'm using (Superstore). Hope this helps, best wishes!

I had a website using Wordpress and Cashie Commerce . I am having real issues with the videos looking different from what shows up on the latest download of Superstore. I can not get the slide to show up at all and several other things are different, like the license key, and after adding woo commerce the screen where you clicked on pages did not appear. Hi Shane, you can go to the WordPress dashboard sidebar, click Products/All Products, then hover over the item and click "edit product". From there you can change the price and update the product. Thank you for your comment.

Great Video, thx.. A segment on how to prepare product photos as far as choosing their dimensions before they are uploaded would be great. It can become a visual mess if photos sizes are all over the place. I am running through issues for ex, # of pics per row will affect the display in categories even if one has well set thumbnail sizes..etc...if you know of an existing tutorial on ideal sizes of pics to be used in such themes as woo's or others, I think it might help a lot of viewers thx

hi there, are you using woocommerce? if so, you need to add a new product first, then you'll see the product data section where you can set up products with variations. hope this helps.
