I followed this guide exactly, and I'm still not getting the emails from the contact form! I have made the email to the same as the from, (I've checked my spam as well and it's not even either) It's the only page on my website I can't get to work properly!
You will have to use WP SMTP plugin to make it work. I also had the same problem but currently fixed by the plugin.
I followed along exactly. Im using a gmail address. Could that be why Im getting a message that the configuration is wrong? (This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.) that is the error message

At the Mail tab>To, your email address is different than the one you had at the end of the tutorial when you checked to make sure everything was working. Can you clarify? I'm a complete newbie so don't be surprised if this is a really dumb question. Thanks!!

Thank you so much for you video! In order for me to get the Contact Form 7 to work properly, I had to Delete it and start over. I know for a fact that it was installed correctly the first time, because I had my hosting company look into it. With your help, I began again, and now I am receiving the emails into my account! Yay!
I have a question? Once received in my email inbox, there is a photo attached to the bottom of my email along with a message, which would be great if it were the photo of my choice. How do I change the photo?

You have to create from Email Address on Your Hosting Server. in short From Email Address should exists and have domain name e.g support@mydomainname.com
I even have email account but still message is not shown

I see you've attached your form to a menu tab. I want to attach this form to my Contact Us link in my Footer. Can't figure out how to do that. The link in my footer remains dead, no connection to the form whatsoever. Suggestions?
Once I made changes at To and From Fields keeping same email ID as you have explained, An error message poping up
Same thing happen to me but I tried adding my email followed by coma and then my domain email (@yoursite.com) in the TO section and it worked. I don't know if it will work on yours or not though.

The default form works only and not others I create. Do not know what caused the problem. Having error message "Failed..." on submitting.

Thanks for sharing this. Even though the contact form is sending the auto-responder properly, it shows the Gmail id I have set up for contact form 7 even though I have changed the name. Please help me with this! It looks highly unprofessional.

If you have a website being made from a Wordpress template and it incorporates a contact form, and you have on MS365 email from GoDaddy to receive the comments and questions through the contact form, you have the site's associated email account set up on your cell phone and computer through Outlook, but the test emails are not being received, is it because the site is not yet live? Thanks, Katrinah for your awesome video. 99% of it was perfect, but I was still not receiving emails when I used your settings. Email settings are so confusing to me! I use Gmail for my personal email, so I set the TO box on the MAIL tab of the contact form to my gmail address instead of the Wordpress website email. Then I started receiving emails at my Gmail account. Thanks again and I hope that helps anyone else who reads this!
After two hours of reading conflicting reports about syntax errors in the "from" field I got very frustrated. I've never used this plugin on any site and never will. To me a contact form should be pretty simple. It's a message sent to us (our email address) from (email address of the person sending us the form) with a subject and a message. Hours of research on simply how to get the user's email address in the "from" field just turned up hundreds of posts about syntax errors. I gave up.
Hello, I have used contact form 7 now for almost 3 years without any problems but last week it just stopped working. I have looked at how to fix it but notting solved the problem so far, I have even installed easy SMTP but it just does not work. What can I do to make it work again?

I followed your instructions and somehow the emails still don't go to cpanel webmail is does show in Feedback Tab and goes to the default email. It's working... strangely. What could be the problem?

Hi Karina it is possible that why its not working my contact form is. Maybe it is possible that the problem is hosting? because some of hosting support if the email function is disable on the site because many hosts disable email by default. It is possible Karina?

Hi Katrina your way of explanation is verynice. How to getback the suspended website from hosting provider he said some malware is in your website (they forward backupfiles backup how to remove malware from the backup file) & run the website safely thank you.
