Just discovered your stuff Steve. Honestly so refreshing to watch something on the topic of web builders that's not clearly paid for. This space can be really challenging to get honest opinions.
This is the best breakdown I've seen! Your delivery was very clear and concise and helped me really understand what each platform has to over. Bravo 👏🏾

Dude - you are AMAZING!!! You should be an actor. And your teaching style is incredibly clear and so easy to follow. I should know; I've been teaching classes for 30 years. Thank you for the fabulous comparison, and I wish your business well!
I’m surprised and disappointed you didn’t cover Framer-which for me, as a 30 year designer, is the best website builder there is. Any chance you might review it?
Can’t believe the author didn’t even mention Oxygen Builder. I’m both a designer and a developer, and with Oxygen, I can create whatever I imagine or whatever my client wants. I’m not limited by anything - I can use modules, or I can write my own code.

Great video! I wanted to touch base on Shopify - It does have a bit more customization than you stated. When customizing you can create templates for other types of pages. So instead of just editing the home page layout, you can create product specific templates, or collection templates, and then connect those afterward. This gives you a lot more options in terms of customization.
I just found your channel and I enjoyed it immensely. You definitely earned my subscription today. Looking forward to exploring your other videos and all upcoming videos. I really learned a lot from this video and your style of presentation was so refreshing.

BIG Props for this and your other videos. Than you sooo much for all the help. How did you get into affiliate marketing? Its seems a hard biz to get into. A little confusing on where to start. ANY advice would be very appriciated!! Thank You In Advance.
As an artist restarting my career I found this video really helpful. I only have a couple items to sell on a store right now and its been really difficult to find and understand what platform works best for that. I don't feel like I need all the templates and design stuff or a huge storefront. Hadn't heard of carrd before but I like the price and simplicity. Hopefully a stripe or paypal widget can get me where I want. Would love a video on it.
I think that's you're approaching it so smartly - start with something simple and low-price like Carrd and just use a Stripe widget. You can always get more complicated if you need!
To put Wordpress more in "website builder" territory, you need to add a builder theme like Divi or Elementor. With those, Wordpress becomes much more user friendly and builder-like.
SBW missed the boat on that point exactly! all the sites suggested are garbage, so we do ZipWP to build all our websites Elementor or Spectra on top of ASTRA. Kadence is washed up,
Thank you Steve for sharing with a balance of clarity and brevity. Also for exposing the existance of Carrd. Many of my questions were answered across products.
I learn wonderfully by your teaching style. No overly enthusiastic energy which would give me anxiety. I'm taking over my husband's web site and exiting GoDadddy and WordPress. Screw that mess. Re: your bookshelf. I organize my husband's golf shirts mimicking the pattern of the color wheel. Rainbows of everything golf. Short, long, slacks separated and color coded. It's so pretty. Steve, I thought your explanation of the difference between these website builders and WP was crystal clear, and I couldn’t agree with you more. For a simple guy like myself who is just trying to build a simple website for my humble tea business with no prior website building experience, this video really hit home for me. I would love to do a total custom build and make a spectacular website via WP, but then how to make it a blog with ecommerce functioning? How to connect payment options? How to ensure it’s all secure? How to keep it all updated? How to make it responsive? How to figure out shipping and taxes that change? …you get my point. And I definitely get yours. All of that is learnable and doable through WP I’m sure. But do I want to spend the time to become a website building expert, or do I want a functioning website with all that essentially taken care of so I can focus on the business.
Great video and analysis. What's your take on the Elementor page builder and their hosting service? Together, they start to resemble website builders with their dedicated hosting platform like the ones you covered but they are still in WordPress.
What about website speed and ping times. Are some of these options better at automatically condensing code, compressing media, etc? For maximum responsiveness?
