    Dean - if you’re listening, the achilles heal of these is the ladders. Alucab has got it sorted where the treads lay flat when ladder is on lean - not sure why others haven’t got this. My mrs has to wear thongs going up ladder as bare fest cannot handle it.
    We love ours though - the pitch black darkness inside is like nothing we’ve ever had before, really nice.
    The mattress has two sides - from memory the yellow colour is the softer side, but we also added a 35mm topper.
    I was told the pole (which we keep ticked under mattress) is used if ever a strut fails when on tour, it helps take load off the single strut thats still working.
    Cheers for the vid, sounds like you love yours as much as we do 👍

    I'm torn. I like the ease of setup with a clamshell tent but The internal room always makes me hesitant. I'm 6'3 and and find most normal beds come up short. I've looked into hybrid RTT's like Bushbucks Armadillo. I've also got myself, misses and little tike to fit in too which makes it more difficult to settle on a clam. Enjoyed the video and info you shared non the less.

      Hi Liam, yes me and my partner are both quite tall and find this rooftop has the most room if this is the ttype of set-up you and your family enjoy! Thanks for watching

      Do not get a motop, they are garbage, I had one faulty, got it replaced under warranty and sold it still in package when there was a short for a profit…but trust me motop are rubbish

    Hi there. Good video.
    A couple of questions. Would it be possible to mount this on 2 chequer plate aluminium tool boxes set up side by side with the brackets that are supplied. And, can brackets be mounted on top to enable a rod holder to be mounted. Thankyou in advance. Scottie

      Hey mate sorry for the late reply. Yeah it could be possible to mount on two alloy toolboxes. And there are 2 rails on top to mount anything really. The bush company also sell mounts for everyday stuff like solar panels and maxtrax etc.

    Which end do guys have your head at? Is is ok with your head at the closed end? Do you sit up and hit your head etc?

    • @theaussieadventurers
      @theaussieadventurers  Рік тому +1

      We generally have our head up the larger end. But you could have head at other end just more snug and could hit your head hahaha.

    Hey guys, just wondering what issues you had with the motop and how you went about sorting it out. I have one and seem to have some problems with condensation and water ingress. Any help is much appreciated. 👍🏽

      Hi Brodie, yes we had the same problem ours was even starting to leak a bit. We didn't have the motop for very long as we wanted to upgrade to something with better quality & durability hence the change to the bush company RTT, hope you can fix yours!

    Great looking Tent . How does having 100 kg on the roof affect the handling of your vehicle ?

    • @theaussieadventurers
      @theaussieadventurers  2 роки тому

      Thanks mate, it’s obviously noticeable from having nothing to having the canopy and rooftop. But I actually can’t quite notice the difference from the old one to this one. I also only have the rear canopy and roof top on when doing camping trips. I feel it would be a bit annoying having it on everyday to drive personally. But definitely a great tent.

    Did you find the mattress it came with good enough?

    • @theaussieadventurers
      @theaussieadventurers  2 роки тому

      Yeah the mattress is fine for us, getting a mattress topper would even be an idea to make it softer :)

    how does it go with heat, does it get hot up there in the morning?

    • @theaussieadventurers
      @theaussieadventurers  Рік тому

      Hey mate sorry for the late reply, it goes fairly well with the heat with just the mesh. In the morning can get a little hot if your in the full sun and have all the canvas zipped up but is a lot better then our old one due to the double canvas.
